Dow Breaks 10,000: BIG DEAL!!!
A warning ... circa 1787 re the fall of the Athenian Republic:
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money (generous gifts) from the public treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."
"The average age of the world's greatest civilization has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through this sequence.
From bondage to spiritual faith;
from spiritual faith to great courage;
from courage to liberty;
from liberty to abundance,
from abundance to selfishness;
from selfishness to complacency,
from complacency to apathy,
from apathy to dependency,
from dependence back into bondage."
Translation: No matter what the government promises you, Nothing is free. The more dependent a people become on the government to take care of them, the more freedom they lose. Would having something like free health care be worth the cost of your liberty? What else would you give up in exchange for the state caring for you from cradle to grave?

The Conyers Saga: Far From The End
Detroit is becoming more like Chicago: CORRUPT
|
502 Days to the 2010 Congressional Mid-Term Elections
First Kwame Kilpatrick with his lies, now this. Our politicians may not be as crooked as those in Chicago or New York. But they are working on it for sure. And all we do is sit by and let it happen. Well folks, you ask for this kind of government and you get it.....Happy?
Bribery probe closes in on ConyersCity Council member weighs federal plea dealLeonard N. Fleming and Paul Egan / The Detroit NewsDetroit -- Detroit City Councilwoman Monica Conyers said Tuesday she's trusting God to deliver her from her mounting problems -- a possible federal indictment and the prospect of prison. Prosecutors who offered Conyers a chance to plead guilty to a five-year bribery-related felony charge in return for expected leniency wanted an answer by the end of Tuesday, persons familiar with the investigation said, though it was not clear that represented a firm deadline. Conyers, who had not answered by the end of the business day, does not want to go to jail and is resisting pleading to an offense more serious than a misdemeanor, sources said. The federal investigation of Conyers has focused on an alleged pattern of behavior that includes accusations she demanded and accepted cash and other benefits in connection with her duties as a council member and her former role as a trustee of the city's General Retirement System, persons familiar with the investigation said. Steve Fishman, Conyers' attorney, declined to comment. Conyers, wife of U.S. House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers, ducked reporters Tuesday, but alluded to the controversy during a live broadcast of her show on WHPR-TV (Channel 33), saying "all these things going on right now, I believe in my heart, God will deliver me from." "If you're not praying for me, you're just adding to the problem ...," Conyers said. "If you don't have the truth to say, then keep your comments to yourself. You can't comment on me, my husband or my family, because you don't know us." Monday's guilty plea to a bribery conspiracy charge by Detroit businessman Rayford W. Jackson stepped up the pressure on Conyers, identified by persons familiar with the FBI investigation as the "Council Member A" referred to in court documents. Jackson admitted using a courier on four occasions to send Council Member A bribes totaling more than $6,000 in connection with a $1.2 billion sewage sludge contract the council awarded to Synagro Technologies Inc. of Texas in 2007. Conyers switched her position from opposing to supporting the Synagro contract, allowing it to pass in a 5-4 vote. Prosecutors gave Conyers a chance to plead to a five-year felony in return for a reduced sentence. The government has electronic surveillance evidence that allegedly links Conyers to receiving payments in connection with the Synagro deal, sources said. The prospect of a Conyers indictment means Detroit remains mired in scandal four months after former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick completed 99 days in the Wayne County Jail on obstruction of justice and assault charges. A wide-ranging FBI investigation of City Hall continues. It also could be a political embarrassment to her husband, who is chairman of the committee that oversees the FBI and U.S. Attorney's Office. Other matters involving Monica Conyers that have interested federal investigators include: • An alleged shakedown involving political consultant and former Conyers aide Sam Riddle, Conyers and the representatives of the Zoo Bar in Detroit's Greektown area. Principals of the strip club have told a federal grand jury that Riddle asked for a $25,000 bribe on behalf of Conyers to help with the transfer of an operating permit, court records show. Riddle, who denied the allegations in January, could not be reached Tuesday. • Alleged demands for benefits in dealings involving Conyers, Riddle and the pawn shop-jewelry store Zeidman's, which has outlets in Detroit and Southfield. • Alleged use of city-paid workers to perform personal jobs. Several former Conyers' staffers have testified before the grand jury, persons familiar with the investigation said. Last year, the city settled a potential lawsuit from former staffer Yakima Washington, who was expected to allege she was fired after refusing to perform personal errands for Conyers, such as picking up her dry cleaning. • An investment proposal from Phoenix Group Consultants Inc. of Detroit that came before the General Retirement System in 2008, while Conyers was a trustee. A grand jury subpoena that was served on the pension fund seeking Conyers' expense reports and other records also requested records related to the Phoenix Group and businessman Melvin Washington, a principal in the company. Washington did not return a phone message left at his office Tuesday. • A demand Conyers allegedly made to a representative of a pension fund adviser to buy her a $250 blouse at a Burberry store during a trip to Florida. Conyers was on the trip to inspect a residential real estate investment the General Retirement System made near Sarasota. A representative of CAP Advisors of Northville has told the grand jury he bought Conyers the blouse after she demanded he make the purchase, persons familiar with the investigation said. Jackson, who was Synagro's local partner on the sewage sludge deal, told The Detroit News in an exclusive interview published Saturday that he is not willing to testify against others charged in the case. But Jackson's courier, who allegedly placed envelopes containing cash in Conyers' hands and is identified by persons familiar with the investigation as Jackson's brother, Lennie, is cooperating with federal prosecutors, according to court documents. "They're tightening the noose," said Wayne State University law professor Peter Henning, a former federal prosecutor. "You have the payer, and then if the conduit is cooperating, that is two very important pieces of the puzzle." Also willing to testify is ex-Synagro official James R. Rosendall Jr., who admitted in January he gave Jackson thousands of dollars to bribe Council Member A and others in connection with the Synagro deal and a deal for a city composting facility. Some money intended for Conyers was allegedly paid to Riddle, who has said his phone was tapped by the FBI. Conyers, who showed up at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on Tuesday, declined to speak to reporters and was largely silent during the meeting except to pitch a community event. She skipped a night meeting. Councilman Kwame Kenyatta said the scandal is "an affront to all of us who don't do business that way." "Hopefully we're moving toward conclusion, but not fast enough," Kenyatta said. Council President Kenneth Cockrel Jr. told reporters after the session that he wants indictments to move quickly. "The bottom line is this whole Synagro issue has been out there some time. I'm of the mindset of whatever they've got, bring it," Cockrel said. "I know in my experience with federal investigations, they tend to be slow and meticulous, but when they come, they come like a ton of bricks. My feeling is if they are going to come like a ton of bricks, they ought to come now." pegan@detnews.com (313) 222-2069 Detroit News Staff Writers Christine MacDonald and Darren A. You got greedy and thought you could get away with it thinking you had some kind of immunity because your husband is in Congress. You built your jail cell, now step in and do your time. P.S.: Make sure that cell is big enough for two. There is no way in the universe you did all this without John knowing something he may have to testify about if only to save his own hide from a trip to the slammer. "Enough Said!" |

Judge OKs Terrorist suit against Bush advisor on interrogations
Monday, June 15, 2009 7:57 AM
SAN FRANCISCO – A man serving a 17-year prison sentence for terrorist activities has been given the green light to sue a former US government lawyer who wrote memos that allegedly led to his torture, US media reports said Sunday.
Jose Padilla, a US citizen arrested in 2002 for an alleged "dirty bomb" plot only to have the charges dropped three years later, was jailed in January 2008 for separate charges of providing support to the Al-Qaeda terror network.
Lawyers for Padilla have filed a lawsuit against John Yoo, a former lawyer in the George W. Bush administration, arguing that he was responsible for crafting the legal memos which led to his detention and harsh interrogation.
Padilla, who was held in solitary confinement as an "enemy combatant" for more than three years at a US Navy installation in Charleston, South Carolina, alleges he was tortured.
Padilla's lawsuit, which demands Yoo be held accountable for his treatment, alleges he suffered "gross physical and psychological abuse at the hands of federal officials as part of a systematic program of abusive interrogation intended to break down Mr Padilla's humanity and his will to live."
Yoo, part of Bush's war council and deputy attorney general in the Office of Legal Counsel from 2001 to 2003, wrote several memorandums endorsing harsh treatment.
Yoo has argued that the suit should be dismissed because it has not been established that Padilla's treatment was unconstitutional.
However San Francisco Federal Court Judge Jeffrey White, who was appointed by Bush, said in a written ruling released late Friday that Padilla's case can proceed.
White found Padilla "has alleged sufficient facts to satisfy the requirement that Yoo set in motion a series of events that resulted in the deprivation of Padilla's constitutional rights."
Tahlia Townsend, a member of Padilla's legal team, described the ruling as a "a significant victory for American values, government accountability and our system of checks and balances."
Padilla and his mother, Estela Lebron, are seeking one dollar in damages and a declaration by the court that his treatment was unconstitutional.
Yoo, who is being represented by the Justice Department, so far has declined to comment on the case.
Padilla, 38, dubbed the "Puerto Rican Taliban," was arrested in May 2002 at Chicago's O'Hare airport after returning from Egypt and was taken to a US Navy prison in South Carolina.
At his 2007 trial, prosecutors said the former Chicago gang member and Muslim convert traveled abroad to train as a "jihad" fighter, and had asked to receive "violent jihad training" while in Afghanistan in July 2000.
US authorities justified his detention without charge, saying he was an "enemy combatant" who allegedly planned to explode a radioactive bomb in the country.
But when he was transferred to the civilian justice system after three-and-a-half years in military detention, the indictment made no mention of the so-called "dirty bomb" plot.
During the trial, his defense team claimed Padilla had been tortured while in military detention and that the alleged ill-treatment left him unable to participate in his own defense.
COMMENT: It seems quite apparent that the Obama administration has decided to take a 9/10 approach to terrorism by granting rights to terrorists they should not be entitled to such as giving them access to our courts and giving them the Miranda right to remain silent when captured on the battlefield and applying peacetime law to wartime conditions. Judge White may have been a Bush appointee, but he's looking like he is bucking for a promotion from Barack Obama. Question: When was the protection of our national security handed over to the ACLU?
"Enough Said!
Finally, the Word on The street
Mitt Romney is right; let the auto companies go bankrupt. Bankruptcy would allow them time to restructure properly, instead of being rushed into it by the federal government’s loan requirements. It would give them time to figure out how to deal with the insurmountable labor and retiree costs. It would give them time to build a better business plan to better compete with the foreign automakers and build an automobile that American’s love and embrace.
Let AIG go bankrupt too. They are an insurance cooperation, not a manufacturer. They do not produce anything tangible. For all intents and purposes, insurance is legalized gambling. People are venturing money into something based upon something that may or may not happen. Even if that something does happen it is still hard to collect. The insurance companies will fight any significant pay out and even if they do give up the money, they merely increase insurance rates to make up what they just spent money on contending on.
When this country was formed in 1776 our forefathers had the courage and the will to form a new country, away from the tyranny of the English government. They did not want their sons or their daughters to have to face that burden, they faced it themselves. Though it was a long, hard and difficult task, they still did what needed to be done for the good of future generations of Americans.
Americans need to be that way now. Americans need to have that kind of courage and determination to weather this economic turmoil. Americans need to bite the bullet and not let their sons or their daughters pay for a burden that is not theirs. Americans need to face this long, hard and difficult task like the forefathers of this great nation did and do what needs to be done for the good of the future generations of Americans.
Government bailouts and loans simply are not the answer. They merely lead to a never ending line of corporations lining up at the doors of Washington D.C., asking for their money as well. Already the National Basketball Association and the adult film industry are thinking about asking the government for financial help and that is more burden on the U.S. taxpayers than this economy needs.
Socialism does not work. History will show that. Look at the former Soviet Union. Their economy collapsed because the governments interference. Instead of “from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs” leading them to prosperity, it lead them to economic devastation and political corruption. Is the US that far behind?
It is time to stop this insanity. It is time to show the world that Capitalism actually works. It is time that Americans stop passing the burden down to future generations of taxpayers. It is time to let the free market system work itself out and stop the policy of handing out money that the US government does not even have.

“Words from the Several States”
The U.S. Constitution: exerts for muse and discussion, part 002
Article one, section one.
All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States,”
Many governments around the world have employed some type of parliamentary system, for debating and deciding legislative action.
This is the most “un-remarkable” branch of the U.S. Government.
The Congress is divided into a lower House of Representatives, based on a census amongst the several states; and an upper house called the Senate, based on sovereign state representation.
Usually Senators and Representatives are known well in their home states and inside the beltway. It is “common” for a member of congress to go six or eight years without anyone in the major media really noticing or caring.
Unless you do something really good or really bad, and the media latches onto you, for a news cycle or five. Whatever length of time is needed to boost their ratings, then you get tossed aside for the next “Britney or Paris update.”
The Congress has an incredible slate of powers.
Congress is usually reported on in the singular. In fact, inside the beltway, a first term representative is not that “important” to the overall power structure of daily D.C. There are 435 elected, and three non-voting delegates.
Yet the congress has further powers, to impeach a sitting President and further decide if the President should be removed from office and punished for their high crime or misdemeanor. .
Yet in daily D.C. A high powered lobbyist has more actual power and influence than an elected member of Congress.
Does this not disturb you about how out of control the federal government is? An elected member of Congress is the only one, vested with the authority to declare war, yet a lobbyist has more to say in daily happenings.
Do you not find everything I just wrote rather bland? Like yesterday's oatmeal?
The Congress of the United States is by far the most powerful legislative body on the planet. Yet it remains marginalized by in-effective membership and leadership.
What a true disappointment, considering the founders wanted it to be the people's branch. Truly the house of representatives was this at one time Even up to the early 1940's.
Lets discuss briefly five powers granted to Congress, for the reason being, no other legislative branch of government in the world, has this level of authority:
States that all bills for raising revenue, shall originate in the House of Representatives. This means the component of the federal government, with the easiest access for all of us is the house. This gives you and I the most influence on how much our government spends.
Section 08, the Congress shall have the authority to lay and collect taxes, imposts, excise. Again, this gives incredible access for all of us, to have say so. The IRS is well known to be operating outside the Constitution, and Congress would do well by us, to collect only those taxes stated, and rid us of the IRS.
Section 08, To coin money and regulate the value thereof. I mean sit back and absorb that. Those of you who have read this column for years, understand this is the crucible. Only congress can create money, regulate the value, yet Congress does not have the authority to emit bills of credit. All this power, given to the people's branch.
The authority to declare war. This is transcendent at the very least. The very first time in human history, that a nation's government, needed legislative approval, to declare war on a foreign party. This alone, makes the U.S. Congress unique in the world, for all of history.
To provide for the calling forth of the Militia. Imagine that, the people's branch has the authority to call for a militia, to suppress insurrection.
Yes it is, an unremarkable branch of government, given powers that most nations would never know.
Consider this, when you decide on her membership.

“Words from the Several States”
The U.S. Constitution: exerts for muse and discussion, part 001
A friend recently commented I should try and spend more time writing on the Constitution.
Last night I saw an author being interviewed on C-span; hawking a book on the depression and the central bankers involved. In that interview, the author out-right dismissed certain parts of the Constitution, that were in his way.
This morning I know I must write this series.
In the span of one year we have moved at break neck speed, away from the document that is the bedrock of the American experiment.
Government for the people, by the people. Government, that is the servant of the individual, not the ruler.
“We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union”
This opening thought and declaration of “people” literally changed the entire human existence, when it came to the concept and perception of government. It was also a phrase of the times, and the context is as such.
Lets break it down.
In the early 1700's the crown of England had entered into an agreement to bring Whales, Scotland and other nations into the empire of Great Britain. They had created a more perfect union, in their own words.
The founding fathers were well versed in history, and well versed in what worked and did not work.
Hence the concept of thirteen British colonies, all separate nations, should become independent but equal states, of the new American republic.
“We the People of these United States,”
For the very first time, there would be a nation on this planet, that had a government, not a government that had a nation.
I've seen many different styles of teaching for civics and political science classes, and very few have ever taught the Constitution in this pure straight forward fashion.
If I were to use just one word to describe the opening sentence of the Constitution, that word is “responsibility.”
The founding fathers wanted a limited republic, where the individual did not serve a central government, and therefore responsible for our own achievements and recovering from our failures.
It is by far, the bravest, most honest and most pure form of freedom.
In America, with limitations placed on government powers, the only thing that holds us together is a rule of law and the laws of nature.
Failure, people that use and abuse, politicians that take, these are all part of the American idea.
Should they be limited, so that we may have a more perfect union?
Of course.
How far can we achieve in this framework of self determination and individual responsibility? The answer is there are no limits.
“We the People” is far more than a wonderful prose for opening a Constitution.
In that phrase, Americans become empowered to create are more perfect union.
To create that union through ideas, hard work and thoughtful reflection that we are a citizenry with purpose.
James William Kilgore, 61, was paroled from High Desert State Prison after serving a six-year sentence for his role in the murder of housewife Myrna Opsahl during an April 1975 bank robbery.
The victim's son, Jon Opsahl, said Sunday it felt "ironic" and "strange" that Kilgore was released on Mother's Day.
Kilgore was one of five SLA members to serve time for the murder of Opsahl's mother.
"I guess they did their time, paid their debts to society," he said. "Now I guess they can get back to their lives."
State Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation spokesman Oscar Hidalgo said parole agents processed Kilgore's release at the Susanville prison.
Kilgore has been granted permission to join his wife in Illinois, where she moved after he was arrested in 2002 in Cape Town, South Africa, after nearly three decades on the run. He has two weeks to report to Illinois parole officials.
Kilgore had eluded arrest longer than any of his fellow SLA fugitives. His cover unraveled after the 1999 arrest of his former girlfriend, Sara Jane Olson, who had become a doctor's wife in St. Paul, Minn. Olson, formerly known as Kathleen Soliah, was paroled from a California prison in March.
His release marks "the end of the SLA and the era," said Stuart Hanlon, a San Francisco attorney who represented several SLA members.
The gang of mostly white, privileged would-be revolutionaries led by a black ex-convict also was responsible for the murder of Oakland school superintendent Marcus Foster, bank robberies, and the attempted bombings of Los Angeles police cars. Joseph Remiro is serving a life sentence for Foster's 1973 murder.
Kilgore, a native of Portland, Ore., joined the SLA after graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1969. He escaped the 1974 shootout with Los Angeles police in which six of the SLA's original members died.
He disappeared on Sept. 18, 1975, as the FBI arrested Hearst and other SLA members in San Francisco.
He resurfaced as University of Cape Town professor Charles William Pape, even writing a South Africa high school text book titled "Making History" under the alias.
Kilgore married an American woman, Teresa Barnes, and fathered two sons. Barnes, an associate professor of gender and women's studies at the University of Illinois in Champaign, declined to comment when reached by The Associated Press.
Susan B. Jordan, an attorney who represented another SLA member, sad that some romanticized the group, despite the violence, after its members kidnapped Hearst and demanded her wealthy family distribute food to the poor of San Francisco.
"They were an extremely misguided group of idealists. They really believed they could make the world better by what they did," Jordan said. "I just think they tapped into some mythological fairy story."
New York attorney Louis Freeman, who represented Kilgore after his arrest, did not respond to messages left Sunday and in previous days.
Kilgore's pending parole had sparked far less controversy than Olson's release. Her return to Minnesota drew opposition from Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and the St. Paul police union and divided her neighbors.
The Los Angeles Police Protective League and the National Association of Police Organizations objected to letting Kilgore serve his year of parole in another state, but there has been little reaction in Illinois.
"Mr. Kilgore has never even lived in Illinois," Paul Weber, president of the Los Angeles police union, said in a statement. "His last legal residence was in California, and this is where he committed his crimes. ... The community he terrorized has the right and the duty to ensure Mr. Kilgore complies with all terms of his parole, including serving his full sentence here."
Kilgore served his state sentence after finishing a 54-month federal prison term for using a dead baby's birth certificate to obtain a passport in Seattle and for possessing a pipe bomb in his apartment near San Francisco in 1975.
Being a screen writer myself, I understand the very essence of expanding a canvas.
J.J. Abrams boldly, but respectfully asks us, the original fans of the last 43 years, to extend our hand, and help him usher in a new vision of Star Trek, and a whole new generation to that vision.
The very nature of the Star Trek premise, is to boldly go where no one has gone before
The movie rises to the level of space opera and the sound track alone, is worth the price of admission.
If there is only one notable detraction, I felt Abrams rushed the pacing of the first 20 minutes.
This is on me, as far as how I perceive pacing of a movie.
Abrams proves he is a fine cinema craftsman, and gives the origins of Kirk and Spock that needful edge, a thoughtful over-tone and a reckless abandon for the darkness of space.
Bruce Greenwood proving once again, that he is an “A” level character actor, who really gives “birth” to James Kirk, by pushing his buttons in an Iowa bar, demanding he grow up and embrace a larger destiny.
Greenwood's expansion of the Captain Christopher Pike role is wonderfully developed and carefully toned, as the senior star fleet officer on deck.
Abrams pays beautiful homage to all the little things we want as original fans. The careful introduction of the TOS crew we've grown to love over 43 years.
I gladly, as a writer, fan and sci-fi geek, extend my hand, along with Abrams; and say to a new generation of fans “Welcome abroad.”

“Words from the Several States” column 022
I will refer to this as the “Kick in the door” column.
Pirates off the horn of Africa took a U.S. Crew hostage, and the rest you know from the headline news coverage.
I'm kind of glad I had to wait a few weeks to write about this. This way I can now comment on the 16 year-old pirate who cried in the NYC court room.
Crying ! What the hell kind of pirate is he?
Crying? I thought he was man enough to take hostages on the high seas?
You see, play a big boys game and you suffer big boy penalties.
I really want to spend some serious ink on the marine snipers.
As a U.S. Citizen, who continues to live in a safe nation, I offer my humble thanks.
How you ever properly and fully, Thank all these Marines, soldiers, Navy, Air Force pilots for all they do, all they sacrifice, all they bleed; for making sure when we go to bed, that our nation's enemies will not slash our throats.
We can never repay the full measure of gratitude and debt we owe.
In a word, we are a fortunate citizenry.
Those three marine snipers, who were the tip of the speer, for rescuing Captain Phillips, are quite simply heroes.
In my book that is. In their book, they are Marines, who are just doing their duty, and carrying out orders of their commanding officers.
I want to walk you through my perception of what the Marines snipers did.
I feel it important and necessary to lay this out.
Marine snipers are the best trained snipers in the world. This type of situation, they've been training for since the early 80's. I doubt if even the NSA, CIA, Mossad or MI-6 have people this good.
It was a three hundred foot shot, on the back deck of a destroyer, in heavy choppy seas, night time, shooting through windows, and you can not miss.
Oh yes, all three shots must happen at once, and all must hit their targets.
The captain's life is at stake.
You must use a night scope, because laser sights are useless for this kind of shot.
Like I said to the Marines this is all in a day's work. For us lay people out here, I term this absolutely amazing.
I really want to focus now on the NATO “non-action” policy.
Everyone has now heard about the Dutch navy ship that stopped a Pirate ship, but could not hold them, because NATO does nit have a detainment policy.
So it leads to the question, how many NATO members does it take to sign off on a piracy detainment mission statement?
If I were President, NATO would have one in about 14 minutes.
Where do we go now?
America alone could easily put together a sufficient air strike, and take out the pirates camps, facilities and mansions they have built.
The pirates have AK-47s, some .50 caliber machine guns and RPGs. This makes them very well armed as compared to commercial cargo ships, which by law, are not armed.
Compare these modern day pirates to the U.S. Militray, and it would be like trying to compare a fire cracker that was sitting out in the rain, to a one megaton nuclear device..
At the end of the day I'm looking around for what i always do, political will.
We could fly B-2 Stealth bombers, use F-22s, fire ship to surface guided missles, and on and on. The purates would never know what hit them.
We coould rescue the 200 plus hostages and suffer very acceptable collateral damage.
I hope ridding the horn of Africa from piracy does not wind up a political hot potato.

“Words from the Several States” column 021
Again I find myself engulfed and embroiled in local politics. There was a constitutionally inspired passionate outburst at tonight's Lincoln Park City Council meeting.
I know the outburst was constitutionally inspired because I was the one doing the “outbursting.”
And it was worth it, considering activists from the Lyndon LaRouche PAC had “invaded” my city council meeting.
I believe in calling a spade a spade, especially when you have genuine communists in your midst, talking about how “structured bankruptcies and bailouts” can “benefit” the citizens of a small town, like Lincoln Park.
Did you hear me, you Lyndon LaRouche PAC activists, I just called you out.
I got right in their faces, as they approached the city council after adjournment. I don't care if it hurt the Constitutional proposal I am trying to submit. No Communist activist comes to my town, thinking they can get away with striking fear into local citizens.
In other words, these two boys picked the wrong city council meeting, because FRN Newsletter was on the scene.
You can never back down from communists, at any level, when you are face to face. You must stare them down, let them know you are a patriot.
I hope the local cable guys recorded all of it.
Sometimes there is heavy lifting when protecting individual rights.
One of them called me a Fascist and proceeded to lecture me on structured bailouts of the 1930s and how they were “good” for America.
Oh! Is that why the recession boom-a-ranged around and we had a mini depression inside the larger depression, soon after that policy was enacted? Comeon you really smart Marxist's activists, give me your answers.
They were promoting the LaRouche “Homeowners and Bank protection act” of 2008.
This is a very nice way of saying they want a special government agency that is going to “revalue” your house at a lower level.
It is not market based, it is not community based economics and benefits only the federal agency. More important howver, it allows for an international PAC to take authority over regulators and whisper sweet nothings in their ears.
It is a structured bankruptcy for homeowners. LaRouche has an international organization now, that cares little for people owning their property and cares less for the Constitution.
These two fine young gentlemen could not even give a straight answer, when asked who pays for their housing, while they stay in Michigan.
Of course they are free to attend Lincoln Park's city council meetings. I hope you come next Monday.
Be fore-warned, I stand on the side of individual liberties, and not for the super-national property rights grab bag plan that you spew.
Come to my town, and you will debate me, in chambers, on the corners or in the press.
Makes no matter to me. Your proposal seeks to take away the value people have in their property.
When I fight for the Constitution, I want to see people have more value not less.
I can spot you Communists a mile away, and I am legally blind.
You're on my battle field.
I know your game, know your tactics and You will lose.
A copy of this column is going to all city council members of Lincoln Park and a copy to the LaRouche website..
Oh by the way, i read your proposal. Its the same old road to serfdom, just with fancy sounding touchy feely words.
Sorry guys, another short column this week, I have Marxists trying to scare my city council and strike fear into the citizens; so I have house cleaning to do.
I can't wait to see you next Monday. Come early and get a good seat.
Oh, LaRouche PAC? Send some smarter activist next week, ones that can actually debate the internals of the 1933 and 1935 banking acts.
These two tonight? were light weights. . .

“Words from the Several States” column 020
There were 700 plus tea parties across the fruited plains and from sea to shining sea this tax day.
What you are reading is the broad Michigan smile of a very pleased political analyst/journalist.
In other words, America I love ya!
I literally stamp my feet in jubilee when the main stream mush media tries to categorize this as a right-wing, conservative movement started by Rush Limbaugh.
When I hear that dribble coming over the radio or from CNN news, I know “they just don't get it.”
If anything I see conservatives like Rush Limbaugh trying to channel this movement into the republican party. Wrong move.
This is a very rare column for me, I get to be a columnist and journalist at the same time.
First, there is no one person in charge of these tea parties, and there is no national organization (like ACORN) behind them. In fact just the opposite is true. These tea parties are pure grass roots, pure frustration of the average citizen realized.
Like I said, beautiful.
This is an actual movement, a political shift of real conviction and legs in this nation. People who have never been politically active, people who have never protested, and now they are so mad and disgusted with leadership and government in general, that they are willing to grab a tea bag, give up an evening, and say “enough.”
Whats next? I don't know.
But I'll give ya'll some pointers out there in tea party heaven.
Think of this as the first step to a much larger world of activism. Lets channel all that wonderful, pure political energy into what is needed most; “Citizen Participation.”
I mean at all levels momma.
Pick the battle and issues that interest you and lights your fire the most.
If you think you want to channel that lovely positive political energy into attending local city council meetings, than have at my friends.
This is where the real hard work of protecting our republic starts. Right here, in each of our towns, with all of us taking one evening a month, or whatever amount of time, making it a family thing, a group thing, a neighborhood or county wide thing.
Make it your own, make it real. Please do not allow anyone, or any group or political party tap you on the shoulder and try to hijack your passion. Don't let them take this grass roots movement and use it for any of their narrow political goals. Do it on your own.
Some people attending these protests will run for office.
I already see conservative talk radio trying to thwart the idea of a major third party forming from the ground swell of these tea parties.
That annoys me no end. Conservative talk radio believes are national third party succeeds at electing their alternative.
The Liberals use tactics like this, when they want to harness a movement for their own political gain. As I warned, do not let anyone modify, manipulate or mess with your grass roots passions.
We need a third major political party in America, and a fourth and a fifth. Can I get an even half dozen parties, please.
What do I want from all these tea parties?
Nothing really, just that all you new protesters don't lose that fire in the belly. Stay involved, stay on top of your game.
Don't let the liberal media beat you down, and don't let conservative talk radio hood wink you into the republican party.
All of you inspire me, and now force me to “bump it up” and stay on top of my political game.
I'll be there, on Monday nights, holding the Lincoln Park City Council's feet to the fire.
Who knows, FRN Newsletter may have to sponsor a tea party here in downriver this summer. Maybe at Wyandotte's Bishop park.
Okay thats it, short column. You tea party protesters are way to busy, to hear me babble on.
Lets take this country back. One tea party, one issue, one movement at a time.
You guys rock !
“Words from the several states” column 019
Below you will find the full text of my proposal to the city of Lincoln Park and the reasons why the City council and mayor should adopt the resolution immediately. I encourage everyone to copy and paste this proposal and take it before your respective city councils.
This is a prime, neon-glowing example of how We the People at a local level, can effect real change nationally, and international as well.
Dig in and break it down for all those wonderful council members and mayors.
I'll see all of you at the very next city council meeting. . .

Subject: A proposal for a city wide resolution
To: The Government of the City of Lincoln Park, Michigan, U.S.A.
Short title: “Say no to global currency”
A proposal:
The government of the City of Lincoln Park, Michigan, United States of America, hereby passes a resolution against the usage of global or supra-national currencies, of any kind, measurement or created value. In accordance with Article One, Section Eight, Clause Four of the U.S. Constitution.
Councilman Murphy,
The reasons why I think the City of Lincoln Park should adopt this resolution:
Reason one:
Is what I call “everything matters” The majority of what city government does, is provide local services and keep the community safe. Many citizens in Lincoln Park probably could care less about such a resolution because they do not see any “direct” connection between the Chinese central bank wanting to dump our Dollar in favor of global notes, and their immediate lives.
This is exactly the kind of large national issue, that must be handled by local governments. When Local governments start passing resolutions to support the Constitution and say no to global currencies, then the federal government will understand they must stand behind each citizen.
This is a case and time, where you stand tall at a local level, to remind everyone at higher levels, that “We the People” is not three small words, they are the three words that made us free. It is in my opinion, the only thing that matters.
Reason two:
As officers in a city government, you are required (under the 10th amendment) to uphold the laws of this land. Which would include Article One, Section Eight, Clause Four.
Reason three:
Here is a realistic breakdown of exactly what will happen under a global currency.
First, the Supreme court and all federal judges would have to find some way to side step the Constitution, if a case was ever brought before them.
Second, The Congress and President would need to pass legislation, allowing circulation of a global currency within our borders. To do this, all banks under the Federal reserve system would have to swap out U.S. Dollars, and all banks would have to meet “reserve requirements” that would be set by an international entity. As a citizen at this point in the game, your voice would not matter one little bit.
Side note: France is already suggesting a “Global financial regulator” when they go to the G20 on Thursday.
Third, The U.S. Dollar would be “re-valued” against a global note, which is a nice way of saying the dollar would lose value. The U.S. Dollar has already lost 27% of it's value from 2000 to present. That was a direct cause of inflation. Our dollar would lose further value against the Euro, the Yen, the Chinese dollar, the Sterling, etc.
Fourth, At some point further mechanics of an international system come to our shores. The hydraulics of the new system take over and we would be forced to accept international regulations on our local, state, regional and national banking system.
Reason Four:
Once we go down the road of global currency, there is very little hope of removing ourselves when it fails. This is the realist in me speaking here. As I look over 10,000 years of human history, once you start using a worthless “debt-based note”, the nation, state, empire will crumble under the weight of inflation.
The same mechanical principle applies to an international currency.
Except that it will be far worse.
You have to really sit back, take in the whole picture at a local level, and ponder if you want Chinese, Russian and/or IMF “bank regulators” coming into the Chase branch at Fort/Southfield and demanding bank records, account information, etc.
This is not an alarmist view, this is a real-world scenario of what will be our daily life under a global currency.
The Federal Reserve factor:
The federal reserve is America's central banking system, creates fiat money, and has given me a wonderful, though fearful story of how “global bank regulations” works.
Back during the IBBC bank scandal and the Iran-Iraq war, a local bank in Atlanta came under the Treasury department's radar.
Treasury officers came to the bank and started investigating, as is their right under proper fe0deral regulations.
The federal reserve (which has no authority under the constitution), they came in, forced the Treasury officers to leave, and did their own investigation. Not one employee was allowed to leave their desk for over two hours.
That is a small, but painfully true example, of what a global currency could become.
I Thank you for consideration of my proposal for a city wide resolution.
I would be happy to answer any questions of the council and the mayor.

Words from the Several States, column 018
I had the strangest nightmare.
I dreamed it was present day Amerika and i was listening to the news on WJR 760am in Detroit. The broadcaster was going on about the governor of the Chinese central bank, and a global currency idea. He said that the U.S. Dollar was coming to a point where lenders around the world may not want to buy it, since it is so worthless and our federal government's debt is so high. He suggested a global currency, where the U.S. Dollar would be just one of the main reserve currencies, but the global currency would reign supreme.
In this dream out current treasury secretary does not dismiss the possibility outright, but reminds us that the U.S. Dollar would have to be the main reserve currency.
I would love to say i woke up terrified and in a cold sweat, but no; this is an actual conversation in financial circles.
So i will ask you one more time Amerika, are you scared yet?
The most significant part about the news story is that now we know for sure, that there are leaders around the world, thinking seriously enough about a global currency, that it was a news report on a 100% credible radio station.
No this wasn't something that was referred to, without being triple sourced on a conspiracy website. It wasn't some half-crazy professor trying to make a name for himself to the “Black Helicopter” crowd.
This was one of the top Chinese central bank officials going on record.
And folks, WJR triple sources and checks the facts of stories before they put it on the airwaves.
If I didn't have every minute of every day spoken for in my life, i would work full-time at getting all of Amerika to understand the significance here, and then people would know how serious the cause is, for returning to a gold/silver standard.
This is not some accidental news story. World leaders and those inside the inner circle of power truly want this. World currency and world government is a “natural evolution” of their own realized power.
Not on my watch it isn't! ! ! the United States Constitution is the only document that America adheres to. If some really smart professor can just show me the section in the constitution where we can usher in a global currency, then I'm on board.
Timothy Geithner should resign or be fired for even commenting on the story. The simple fact that he didn't dismiss it out-right makes him a traitor to his oath and this country,
Oh My GOD, Chris! You can't call the treasury secretary a traitor, thats really strong language and people might tune you out because they think you've gone to far, and are not thinking clearly.
Wrong!!! My thinking has never been more clear and more on target.
I get to kind of pat myself on the back a little here. I've been warning and fighting against global currencies and further freedom erosion for over 25 years. Now it is happening in real time, ripped from the headlines, literally.
But Chris we are all just little nobodies in this huge world, can't you just shut up, stop your website before “somebody” in the federal government gets really mad at you and takes away your house, or does worse?
Now why would anyone in government want to silence a political activist? Huh? If I'm wrong then I'm just spewing political commentary once a week, and I'm a nobody so why would the government try and do anything to me. Especially since the federal government loves all of us so much and wants to take care of us.
I just did a quick google search, to see how many stories and media outlets covered the story, about the Chinese central bank possibly dumping the U.S. Dollar in favor of a global currency. There were a lot of media outlets that picked it up.
Russia is planning an international conference to discuss creation of a global currency, and I bet it will be a topic at the upcoming G20 meeting.
I personally don't know why Russia needs to go through all the trouble of holding a special international meeting. The “Bancor” was suggested by John Maynard Keynes all the way back at the Bretton Woods agreement, as a Supra-national currency, backed by 30 currencies and commodities.
All of this is just another reason why the same group of people cannot continue to rule Amerika.
For those of you upset that i keep spelling Amerika with a “K”, get used to it.
Every column where we have ripped from the headlines news stories, where global leaders casually put it out there, everything that FRN Newsletter has been warning about, I will use the “K.”
I'm trying to make a point.
Keeping America from having its constitution dumped on, by our own leaders, and stopping a global currency, may be a worthy topic, for the one evening a month we start setting aside, for political participation.
I'm sorry i sound like your nanny, big brother and over-bearing aunt. Some of you probably don't want to read my column anymore, because i keep poking all of you right in the political eye with a big fat finger. But it can't bother everyone across Amerika to much. Very few of you replay and tell me to shut up. The last “shut up” I had was over nine months ago, when an Editor from an Alaskan newspaper told me to shut up.
Sorry if your political eye hurts from my finger, I'll be happy to rub it for you..
Nothing changes until people decide to start working as individuals and in groups to change things.
How did the original 13 American colonies of Great Britain get their freedom; and become a sovereign nation?
Simple answer, a small group of people came together and said “enough, we are not going to have our human rights violated and we are not going to be taxed unfairly with no representation.”
The battle for continued freedom never ends.
I've got all of your backs. I'm right here holding the line. I can't wait until lunch-time Monday; when i walk down Metroplex drive and make my routine calls to Senators' Levin and Stabenow, then to Rep. Kilpatrick's office. Where this week i will say “NO” to a global currency. A call to Treasury will also be on my list, just to make sure they know where i stand.
Maybe the next city council meeting i go to, I'll tap out a proposal real quick, submit it to the city council, and ask them to pass a city wide resolution, saying the City of Lincoln Park will not partake in a global currency.
Now some of you are already laughing, thinking that such a “small” resolution is futile. No, it is not. It is how we get things done and how we draw a line at the local level. If any of you disagree with my logic, i sure wish you would send a replay, to start a further debate.
Hey, they may vote it down and i may get some snickers from city residents sitting behind me.
Thats cool, i surely can handle a few snickers at a local city council meeting, in order to do my small part to make sure global currency never touches our shores.
I have to start somewhere, so that everyone across America knows that the publisher of FRN Newsletter is willing to jump in at all levels and do his part.
Like i said, I've got your back.
Fighting the good fight, to protect our constitution is messy work. I surely will get my hands dirty. All the way up to my earlobes if need be, willingly, with a smile on my face.
Shalom and see you on the front lines. I'll be the guy charging head strong.

“Words From The Several States” final chapter
Again I find myself strangely engrossed by local politics.
The recent escapades of the Detroit City council have made national news. For those of you reading this, who are not from Michigan, I will try and put this in the proper context of pettiness. Without blowing a brain gasket.
Her name is Monica Conyers, wife of Congressman John Conyer's, and President of the Detroit city council.
There has to be a journalist-columnist in this country to step forward, and speak the un-varnished truth about Detroit politics and it's failed crumbling government.
Here goes:
The standard media driven line: “Suburbs against the City”
You get it all the time, when you live in south eastern Michigan. Why? Because the suburbs are majority white and Detroit is 80% black White suburbanites are afraid of the inner city, and Black Detroiters don't trust the white suburbs.
There is enough racism on all sides, and it leaves me feeling very angry.
It is Sunday March 9th, 2009 and I still see the ignorance of racism ripping my home community apart.
And where do i see most of it? Coming from elected leaders in the Detroit city government.
Thats right i said it, it's out there and now we can tear into this problem.
There is racism in South eastern Michigan and we either do something to stop it, or we can live our lives afraid to mention it.
Council president Monica Conyers is a racist and she uses that weapon every chance she gets. She does not care about moving her city forward, she cares about looking black enough for the population of Detroit. She cares about having power and living in a stagnated city, as long as she keeps power.
No one will convince me otherwise.
I've followed politics for almost 35 years, I know a demagogue when i see one.
She is loud, she is not smart and she still thinks slavery exists in America. She also believes white people need to pay for her personal slavery. I feel it coming off her.
Several other council members feel almost the same way.
The Cobo hall restructuring plan is just the latest, in a very long line of race driven fiascoes.
Five years this plan has been in the works. I think Conyers is holding it up, because she is finally council president, and she had the chance to grab a national media spotlight and play the race card once again.
Do you hear me Council President, I am calling you out.
My frustration has no limits. I spent ten years plus, working in the city. I live barely a half mile from the south-west side of Detroit.
I have something to say to you, directly Mrs. Conyers. I'm sick to death of political leaders like you, who use skin color, gender, hatred and ignorance as weapons and excuses for not getting the job done.
You are a failure on the grandest scale of public officials.
I know your first response, “Chris, it's a black thing and you wouldn't understand.”
Every other major convention center in America is ran through a regional authority, so that the entire region shares the responsibility of and rewards. It works everywhere and it must happen in south eastern Michigan.
This is NOT a city verses suburbs thing, it is not a white verses black thing, this is “whats best for all of us thing.”
At a certain point in your adult life, you just refuse to accept the media and political crap anymore.
Monica Conyers got the media spot-light, made it all about her; now it's time for her to man up and fix the city.
OR!!! at the very least, stop holding back people who love the city and want to do their part to help turn things around.
This is liberating, calling out a racist. I cannot wait until this column is all nice and edited. I will be e-mailing to the entire Detroit city council. I hope it upsets them enough to actually respond.
Sorry if some of you are dis-appointed by my lack of journalistic skill right now, I am a columnist who is mad as hell, and I'm not going to sit around and let racists destroy what is left of Detroit.
Monica Conyers saying that Detroit is being asked to give up a jewel. Please.
If it were really a jewel to the city, then the council would be busting butt to keep Cobo looking good, expand it's viability and make it a showcase for all of Michigan.
No, all of this has been sacrificed for some cheap political points and a few media stories; elevating her own political interests above those of her constituents.
We've been here before so many times. All of you must be sick and tired of this same old political game.
No more. Monica Conyers? Consider yourself called out by FRNN Newsletter.
I Love the city of Detroit more than you could possibly understand. A dozen of my very closest friends live in Detroit.
By the way I will not tell you their skin color, because quite simply, I've never taken the time to notice.
You see Monica Conyers, there are those of us in metro Detroit that live our lives looking at people as people.
We do not limit our relationships or our love by skin color.
I pray to almighty Jesus Christ, that someday you have a re-birth and can see people as i do. It will liberate your soul and you will be re-born in the spirit of God and his son who died for all our sins.
If not, than i fear a reckoning for you and those who are closed minded like you.
But i still pray for your soul.
I did not intend to preach in this column, but I guess my passions runith over.
Please take my hand Monica Conyers, we can re-build Detroit together.
So America, Where do you stand?

Where do you stand, part 4
Paul Harvey has passed on.
To call him a radio legend is to not even tell part of the story. He was AM radio. Paul Harvey set the tone and poured the foundation, for what would become AM broadcasting and talk radio.
His son has become quite good, and hopefully he can take over his father's broadcast.
For myself, turning on AM radio is now not quite so sweet.
I Love AM radio, love it far more than FM.
I Love the exchange of ideas, the Muse, the intimacy of the relationship between a listener and a broadcaster, who never see each other. To give you an idea of how huge a broadcaster Paul Harvey was. He was on 1380 stations and his audience was 25 million plus. To put that in context, Rush Limbaugh is currently on 600 stations and has an audience of about 21 million. 1380 stations? It is a singular achievement, and could never be duplicated.
AM radio is truly theater of the mind. It forces you to really think and exercise those brain cells, when consuming the news, commentary or broadcast.
T.V. Is nothing more than information through stimulation.
Am era has ended, and the greatest broadcaster in all of radio has left us.
We hope, that there are thoughtful hands out there, to carry his torch and tell us the rest of the story.
Paul Harvey was class and elegance personified.
But that is not what I want to write about, I just needed you to know where my head was.
Lets now talk about something far less thoughtful and far less elegant, than the legend of Paul Harvey. I'm speaking of the Obama administration.
President Obama snubbed British Prime Minister Gordon Brown today, and nearly his entire visit.
President Obama is stuck on stupid. I hate to dumb down my column by using such slang, but it fits.
President Obama is supposed to be Harvard educated, refined and as Sean Penn would classify, an :elegant leader.”
Please! Sean, have you been drinking the kool-aid again? From a fire hose?
No joint press conference, no state dinner, no personal entertaining by Obama and wife, with the first British couple. Don't even get me started on the statue or the gifts.
Where is the president's brilliant staff when I need them most? The chief of staff should have said “Mr. President, Gordon brown is the British Prime Minister and you must show him the proper respect.”
Stuck on stupid I tell ya.
It is embarrassing, for me and for our nation. Great Britain is not just another ally, they are our most important of allies.
But that is not what i want to write about either, my head is exploding, due to bumbling idiots in the white house.
I swear Obama reminds me of Bush more and more, everyday.
I want to talk about the heating of oil, since our entire modern civilization is based on it.
I have been doing some interesting research, on oil.
Did you know the planet can sustain only about three billion people, if we did not use oil, as a staple in daily life?
Yeah, so what Chris, why should I care?
We heat oil. We use it to run our industries, to make fertilizers that grow more food. The heating of oil has allowed for more sustained population than could ever be dreamed of, without oil.
Someday, there will be a cost effective technology that will replace the planet's “need” to heat oil.
I mention this because the use of oil allowed humanity to accomplish many things in a very short period of time. If we were still burning wood, as a main fuel source, we could not sustain even close to the living and population standards we have now.
I use oil in this column because I'm reaching for something higher.
I am trying to force an elevation in how we perceive everything around us.
The world transformed when we switched from using kerosene in the mid 1800's to using oil. Oil was safer, burned hotter and had a thousand yet to be discovered uses.
I look at the collective human intellect the same way, and wonder what will be our next leap forward.
Government leadership leaves me empty, cold and longing for answers outside government systems.
Where do you stand?

“Words from the Several States” column 014
“Where do you stand?” part 03
An 11 year-old boy shot his Father's pregnant girlfriend in Pennsylvania, and the President is giving a state of the economy speech tonight.
To that end, a TV news talking head said that being elected President was a step down for Obama. He “was” the visionary leader of a huge, magnificent movement, then he won the campaign. He was being compared to George Washington in this analogy.
Dr. Alan Greenspan has come out and said it, we should consider nationalizing the banking system.
Greenspan has believed this all along, he just prefers someone else do the dirty work of snuffing out free-market capitalism; as more power is turned over to the federal reserve and federal government.
Dr, Greenspan is a good soldier, in an American power establishment willing to consolidate more power, as the Constitution crumbles.
But thats not what this column is about, I just wanted you to know, what is rumbling, half-hazardly through my brain.
This IS the column, where I lay out the mechanics of what is free-market economics and capitalism. I do this, because my hope is that one elected federal officer will read, and therefore understand that what they are currently doing is wrong wrong wrong.
Free-market systems are based on the ebb and flow of products, services and capital investment.
A business or individual produces a product or a service, the factor of supply and demand will determine a market value for that product or service. This free-market function happens millions of times every day.
Markets work best when they are left to self-regulation. This can never happen, since markets do not operate in a vacuum. Government systems will always have to regulate as far as anti-trust, commerce clauses in the Constitution, and an even flow of goods between the several states. Outside of those parameters, government systems should sit back and let free markets do what free markets do best, which is create general economic opportunity and jobs.
Thats is it, how a free market system operates.
Now lets compare an honest analogy of government control (closed systems) of market inertia, verses free market vibrancy. What follows I must repeat, is not Liberal theory verses Conservative theory. It is functional definitions of how government control works, verses free market economics.
Anytime the government “spends” a dollar in the free market, it has been “created” by the federal reserve, used to buy Treasury bonds, to cover government debt, and the money then can be used to “give” to the people. It costs you to create it, administrate it and pay interest on it. One dollar of government spending costs the citizenry in higher taxes, more inflation and a smaller free market profit.
That is a very simple, though brutally honest look at government spending.
When people are allowed to keep more of their own money, through lower taxes, the free market economy will boom. Jobs are created due to more economic activity, and the government actually brings in more revenue through a larger work force.
You know, I'm going to stop right here, with this painfully honest economics 101 lesson.
You see the nature of money, how it is used, abused, created, destroyed and exchanged will never change. The intrinsic dynamics of debt-based government spending will never change.
The only change is when a citizenry decides to take charge and put a large wasteful government back in it's Constitutional box.
All of this new government spending the Obama administration is heaping on us, plus the health care plan, it will bring America more into the grips of waste, poverty and gloom.
You cannot now, nor will any nation ever be able to have a government system spend it's way out of a recession into prosperity.
It has never worked, it never will work.
Sure temporary work programs will create temporary jobs.
The latest figures i crunch, is that each “job” created by the new government spending will cost the taxpayer $235,000.00
We can recover faster and easier from this recession by letting people create jobs through lower taxes and simple economic activity.
The Obama administration plans will fail, just like the Bush plans.
They will fail because they are flawed.
This time around, all of the spending will take decades for us to pay back to the federal reserve.
But we never do pay it back, do we?
As long as we keep using debt-based money, and paying interest back to the federal reserve, and keep the same group of idiots in Washington, nothing will ever change.
2010 and 2012 elections are woefully far away.
Contact your public officials, tell them to stop this train wreck.
Lets start now, before we need another 30 years to clean up even a bigger mess, dumped on us by Washington.
Government failure or Free market capitalism?
Where do you stand?

“Where do you stand?” part 02
A 93 year old man froze to death in his home, Bay City Michigan. Perhaps you caught the news clip on CNN. I heard about it, quite extensively, on WJR.
There was money paper clipped to his bills on the kitchen table and in his will, he left $600 Large to a hospital in Bay City.
That is a generous thing to do in one's will.
Although I talked to my mom all the time and saw her four or five times a week at the nursing home, I wasn't able to sit by her bedside when she died. I missed her passing by less than 30 minutes.
It has been very hard to accept that, being that I took care of her for 14 years.
My point is, the family of that elderly man, their grief must be tremendous.
I wish them well.
Six days to the Oscars and It is shaping up to be a love-in for “Benjamin Button.” Or as i affectionately have termed the movie “Forrest Gump 2.”
“The Wrestler” and “Milk” are far superior movies, if you were to ask my movie-buff opinion.
But all of that is not what I want to discuss, i just need you to know where my thoughts are right now.
The “Fairness doctrine” has been resurrected in D.C.
Lets break it down:
As much as the huge government spending bill can lead to America's downfall, the fairness doctrine is a hundred times worse.
You can sum it up in two phrases, “Hunting down your detractors” and “Censorship of the media.”
The brutal honest reality:
President Obama and the Democratic party know exactly how many people listen to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Mark Levine everyday. All Three talk-show hosts are true conservatives and draw huge audience shares.
They are targets of this White House and the Liberal congress. Anyone who cannot handle that truth needs to go live in France. Sorry, but we do not have time for hand holding.
This is the most direct federal government violation of the First Amendment,, since President John Adams threw Benjamin Franklin's grandson in prison and shut down his newspaper.
Back term in the 1790's it would've been a conservative government attack on the liberal media.
I cannot make this anymore clear, An attack by the federal government on any media outlet, is a direct attack on the entire media.
I consider this an attack on my small newsletter.
The government seeks to control the ebb and flow of discussion, debate and exchange of information; through an open forum.
I cannot stand for this and I will not let the content or context of FRN Newsletter be affected by government henchmen.
I warned you all about this, Chicago thuggery politics, and how it looks on a national scale.
The Chicago end-game is always to eliminate your enemies from the playing field. David Axelrod and his student, President Obama are very dedicated to this political ideology.
Obama seriously believes that it will help the Liberals in the 2010 mid-terms and the 2012 general election, if he can rip the microphones away from Rush, Sean, Mark and other high profile conservative talk-radio hosts.
I also can say with certainty, that Obama is doing it because he needs to prove himself.
Its funny though, because inside his liberal elitist head, he honestly thinks it can work. Only an elitist thinks in such absolutes.
This makes my blood boil 14 different shades of red.
President Obama, please take the advice of a man who has been listening to news-talk radio for over 30 years, IT WILL NOT WORK! ! !
Why?
Simple, conservatives don't sit around waiting for marching orders from Talk Radio hosts.
Now Mr. President, you can choose to accept that or not. The truth is the truth.
Most conservatives are politically active, because they want to be part of the process, known as the American idea. The great experiment in self-government. The beacon of light ideal, that all citizens can attain whatever they desire to work for.
No one turns on Rush for three hours and suddenly becomes the world's greatest activist.
Mr. President you really do not understand why these talk show hosts draw large audiences, do you?
It is the content. I know that is why I listen.
These guys do mountains of homework, research and put together a fabulous radio product.
I listen Mr. President, because I want to hear a deep probing interviews, I want news given to me straight out, with no Liberal dribble slothing off the edges.
Oh, and in the interest of “fairness”, there are Liberal talk radio hosts who also produce a fabulous show, for those who listen.
Thom Hartmann being chief among them, from the left.
Mr. President, I beg you, as a journalist, columnist, citizen and patriot; do not take America down this path. There is only darkness where you lead.
This is such an obvious hunt down your enemy attack. Only targeting talk radio and only attacking two or three hosts.
I used to listen to the Warren Ballentine show, when it was carried in Detroit, but the radio station dropped that format and went to different stuff.
Sad. Warren Ballentine was the best host on that station. His content was always good, and more times than not, better than good.
I miss the host, I miss the guests he had on.
Though I am still down with his movement for justice, and I still am a truth Fighter. If you ever listened to the show, you would understand.
In my dream-life, inside my head; I meet up with Congress and I am chosen, as an independent political consultant, to make the case against the fairness doctrine.
Inside this dream, I am the only witness congress will hear from.
How would i defend all of conservative talk radio in America?
Simple, I would decline the invitation of Congress to testify. I'll be dammed if I'm going to be part of any congressional hearing, where the government hears the testimony of only one person. That is not a valid Constitutional process.
Congress gonna have to send U.S. Marshals, carrying a big supena, to get me in front of them.
I hope Congress calls dozens, hundreds of witnesses.
But you see, that don't play to the media at large.
They are going sneak this puppy through, but using local content, and local market angles.
The White House and Congress don't have the guts for a real fight. They're going to have the FCC do their dirty work.
What a bunch of cowards.
Hey Congress? Hey White House?
I dare you to supena me.
Come on!
You want to rip the First amendment to shreds, then step outside like a man, and put'em up!
Where do you stand America?

“Words From The Several States” column 012
“Where do you stand ?” part 01
And so begins my new column series on where we stand, as a nation, as a society and as a civilization, when it comes to our economic infrastructure.
I have already hit “delete” four times on this column. I really wish I would've saved the first draft. Maybe I'll put the other three up on the site raw, and let you see how a column looks during the “sausage making process.”
Bummer . . . we move on.
It was a hard week, like I'm sure it was for every American in the working and middle classes.
I lost my better judgment this week and my focus. I let problems at work overwhelm me and tried solving them by literally working myself sick.
Former Detroit mayor Kilpatrick walking out of prison less than two weeks ago, and has now been paid off with a sweetheart executive job with Compuware.
I let that reality consume my own and It made me bitter, angry and full of rage.
My dad pointed out to me that Kilpatrick has no realization that i exist so therefore my anger does nothing but poison my system and take years off my life. Mostly because that is a situation I cannot control, or ever have any control over.
My Dad is right of course, as he always is, when he talks me down on things like this.
I wish I had my father's wisdom and his temperament. But I do not.
It does help to crystallize my self-given task, of promoting serious debate regarding the FED and fiat money, being that President Obama is about to sign the $800 billion stimuli's plan. Now that Bush has already partially nationalized the banks with TARP, I consider this current monster bill, the second step down the road of socialism for America.
Plus the second step down the road of “serfdom” for her people.
I will not download or read even one page of this 1100 page disaster. I don't have the time and i already know what it will do. When you add up debt and interest payments on the $800 Billion, this thing will cost you and me $3.2 Trillion.
That is a level of federal government debt addition that almost goes beyond ones capacity to comprehend.
It does serve to lead me full circle back to “the constants” of political reality:
The majority of people who win a public office have an agenda which involves them owing something to someone. This makes them an already damaged office holder, because they have compromised service to the people and oath,; to make sure political power was theirs. This also makes it far easier for them to run for a higher office and be compromising at that next level. It has gone on here in America for nearly 100 years. Leaving well over 90% of elected state and federal officials happily compromised and in power. Thankfully, this one constant alone, cannot destroy America.
When these people leave their public office, they of course, like Mayor Kilpatrick, are now part of the establishment. They are given special preferred consideration for top-level positions in the world of business, banking, media, academia and think tanks. All very cushy and influential jobs. All part of the establishment. Thankfully, this one constant alone, cannot destroy America.
Every dollar the federal government spends, is a dollar heaped on the backs of working America, that we must now pay for and with interest. That dollar of government spending will freeze out private sector job creation and dampen economic growth. This is a universal constant of economics. It does not change. Thankfully, this one constant alone, cannot destroy America.
Through all of this the Treasury department must finance federal government debt, and the federal reserve will gladly create a sufficient amount of federal reserve notes, to keep the federal government solvent and in control. Every dollar created further erodes the Constitution and our ability to remain free. Thankfully, this one constant alone, cannot destroy America.
I've written all that before, in one form or another. In the above context, it is overwhelming and outside of any individual's ability to make a difference, even if they spent a life-time trying.
Elections have consequences and this one is no different.
Do you remember back when news-talk radio was getting the goods out on the relationship between Michelle Obama and David Axelrod? How, with his political consulting help, she manged to get hospital policy changed where she worked. People who normally came there for medical care, now have to use clinics and medical centers, but not a fully equipped hospital. This of course, increases the number of fully insured patients at the hospital where she worked as a director. This increased the hospital's profit margins. It also allowed Michelle to introduce Axelrod to her hubby, State senator Obama.
Elections have consequences.
One part of this stimuli's bill is the government medical oversight board that will become law in 24 hours. The board will decide on medical payments for senior care. Us simple folk call this rationing of health care.
Oh yes, elections have consequences.
In a matter of hours America will be introduced to what socialized government controlled health care will look like.
If the new oversight board decides a hip replacement is to expensive and a waste of resources for your 82 year-old grand mother, then the payment and treatment will be denied, as the money will be determined better used somewhere else.
If you as an individual citizen think you can stop this board, forget it. Not possible. You are one person and nobody cares what you think or how many calls, e-mails or letters you send to Washington.
Elections have consequences. This is our new reality.
Now i ask the question of this column series, where do you stand?
This new president, like the four before him, will grow government, along with a very willing Congress, and you will have less money to live on, and a far larger government you must support.
Where do you stand?
This is not my conservative or Jeffersonian Liberal spin on the truth, this is the truth.
Friday at work, in the lunch room, I called my Senators and the white house, pleading with them to not vote or sign this bill.
I then called the federal reserve public affairs office and told them they won.
The $3.2 Trillion in debt/interest, plus our current $10.7 Trillion in debt, plus an easy $2 Trillion more of government debt in the next five years; puts America over $15 Trillion in debt. That is just for the federal government.
The federal reserve has won this huge battle, by 2015 the U.S. Dollar will be effectively worthless and de-based as a global currency.
There is nothing you can do about any of this. The plan is in motion, the bill will be signed and your money and freedom is about to be heaved over to the government in bigger portions.
That is why i must know, where do you stand?
The goal of seeing America restored to a free-market system and you in full control of your life, now must look beyond 2015.
A plan of action must embrace concepts and strategy capable of winning back our liberties, understanding the new reality of government control.
I know why America tends to ignore, in whole or in part, political activists like me:
Most people believe that an elected official, because they are elected, are smarter and know what is best for America, and we must trust them, no matter what; because they will do the right thing. Even if it means giving them more control over our lives.
Most people are busy and do not want to invest the time to get involved.
Most people think that all of this has no affect on their daily lives and hope that everything will somehow be okay, if we all just conform.
So i ask again, where do you stand?
There is a method to my column madness. At some point you are simply going to tune me out, for asking the question.
Nothing has changed as far as power structure in America. The FED controls and protects the banks and it creates illegal tender.
My national plan of action, to force the government to uphold the Constitution, and return us to a gold/silver standard, remains the only realistic way all of us can effect American renewal.
The new American reality is that Bush and President Obama have taken us two football sized steps down the road of socialism.
This is not an opinion or my anger coming through.
This is the hard truth of where we are.
Government has won these two huge battles, but the war to restore freedom, through citizen participation rages on.
Where do I stand? You have the right to ask.
I stand where i always have, right next to you my brothers and sisters.
I am ready for round three, lets go out there and take our freedom back.
One hour a month, from all of us.
Yes, it will make the difference. Call, e-mail, write letters, pas on this column to EVERYONE.
Eventually we will turn this ship of state, back into the sun.

And so it begins, my critique of the Obama administration.
16 and ½ days in and here is what I see, oozing out of DC . . .
We have a White House trying to affect significant social and economic policy, with Congress being hesitant to give a President everything he wants. We have multiple cabinet and sub-cabinet nominees having to withdraw or face uphill battles.
We have a new President admitting that he could've done better.
Some foreign nations are wishing things were better over here, and others not giving a dam.
Through all of this, the President's approval ratings are dropping.
And last but certainly least, the party holding current minority status inside DC, is complaining, but not to much.
Well folks, not only did President Obama not bring change to halls of power, I'd say this leaves me bored bored bored.
Just another new prez trying to pass out goodies to his supporters through a stimulus package and the rest of establishment Washington goes on.
Change my ass!
Did Obama appoint even one independent? One Libertarian? One Green party member to his staff or cabinet.
My friends, what you hear coming to you loud and proud from the North side of Lincoln Park, Michigan; is the sound of me yawning.
Obama will bring zero change to Washington. Everything he has done to date, is that of a Democratic caretaker, a party man paying his bar-tab. Leadership? Please.
02/06 6:56pm
The only huge change with this new spending bill is it now becomes a new base-line for government confiscation of dollars and liberties.
In all honest perspective, Former president George W. Bush was the real “change” president. As a Republican, he over saw the first step of nationalizing the banking system and record government spending, above and beyond his Democratic predecessor.
Obama is merely “FDR 2.0”
Change . . . .
Lincoln issued an emancipation proclamation which changed the very fabric of American and human society.
Change . . .
Jefferson signed the Louisiana purchase from France.
John Adams sacrificed his standing in history, for a lasting peace with France.
This current government, made up of exactly the same people as before, is trying to fix a free market economy, by increasing government.
Change? Come on folks, we are all way smarter than this.
Only a few hours until Battle Star Galactica comes on. Think I'll play with my cat and kick back with “The Watchmen.”
Someone nudge me when this “brave new administration” does something worthy of my quill.

“Words from the Several States” column 010
Lets go outside the world of politics and muse something far more important, Humanity's place within the universe.
At least the universe as we perceive it.
My brother's spiritual master, Adi Da, passed away Mid November 2008.
It is hard for me to make a comparison, considering that Adi Da was a conduit and extension for the Divine power. A “transmitter” if you will.
If you are Catholic, this would be the equivalent of Jesus Christ dying on the cross.
The teachings and and ideas of Adi Da are something that I have only a thumb-nail impression about. As my brother has been very thoughtful in tutoring me over the past 20 years.
Adi Da's teachings, books and perceptions on the divine power of the universe are quite literally, something that could change the very essence of what we consider “living.”
To call it fascinating is a tremendous understatement.
His final book “Not Two is Peace” is a work I cannot recommend enough. Even with my limited free reading time, I continue to plug away at it, and release myself to it's teachings.
This, in my opinion is the difference between my brother's spiritual community and the “Monotheism” of the major religions, is that major religions seek conversion and to grow. Major religions demand, in a sense, obedience to structure and a hierarchy of authority within that religion.
Adi Da's teachings see humanity and spirituality as something far more “organic”
Organic, that is a word that has lost so much meaning.
We lose ourselves in the daily grind of trying to get by and survive and plan and plot and move up the ladder.
We, as a species, have lost our ability to be organic, and truly meld with the very earth and universe that sustains us.
I'm not talking about taking time to enjoy a sunset or smell the roses. Those are important things to do, but walk with me further.
I am referring to actually opening up your senses, your mind, your “soul” to the concept of energy.
Everything in this universe is made up of energy, be it inert or in some state of flux or motion.
Furthermore everything in this universe has the capability and ability to “transfer” energy in one form or another At one level or another..
You open a door for an elderly couple, so they can walk into a restaurant. You have transferred energy.
Your arm transferred energy to the door, so it would move and open.
Far more important, you reached out and connected with two other human beings, and “transfered energy” into their day, by being thoughtful enough to allow them a chance to easily enter the restaurant. It is not just a “good deed” you did, it was connecting with people around you.
It then goes beyond that. You see something on the evening news that you decide cannot go on. You decide to get a bunch of people together, go to a city council meeting, and firmly but through positive energy, transform a stagnant situation, into a opportunity for change. Change that now benefits an entire community. That energy transfer has now “elevated” hundreds or thousands of people. Now take it many levels higher.
Consider this.
The life force within your body is energy, connected to everything, including the larger energy of the universe and a divine power.
If you open yourself up to the reality of this, it becomes possible for you to connect to that divine power and/or the universe by a transfer of energy, or through a conduit and a ”transmitter.”
The transmitter would be a person or being of sufficient ability to connect you.
I fully believe this is what Adi Da was able to accomplish during his time on Earth. At some point he had a life and body changing experience, where he became more than what he was, and fully aware of this change.
With this new awareness also came the “truth” that he now had a far larger destiny on this planet. A destiny that included teaching all of us about the organic nature of our world, about the need for positive energy transference and usage. The need to accept the a new reality once these teachings became apparent to his community.
I may have mentioned this once or twice before in an un-related column, but I will re-tell here because of the tangent quality.
In 1986 I worked briefly for a company in Livonia called Circuits DMA.
Driving home down I-96 freeway about 1:15am, coming up on the Telegraph road exit sign. “New World Man” by RUSH was on the radio. One of my favorite RUSH songs and I believe that is important to my mindset at that moment in time.
As I came up on the sign I was suddenly thinking about the endless possibilities of this “new world man”, which made me aware of countless other possibilities. I them realized that I was aware of my entire brain.
Then came the next two levels, where being aware of my full brain functions, i was aware and “connected” if you will, to the universe. Not just in a sense of energy or understanding, but a real organic connection. Finally I was aware that the entire universe was in order, as if all the tumblers had come together, and it made sense.
I understood, if you will.
And then it was gone.
As I think back on that split second, because I could still see the Telegraph exit sign, it was a moment of pure energy transference. From me to the universe and the universe back to me.
To this day I am smart enough to know when I have been given a “gift.”
For that 1/10 of a second I allowed myself to consider endless possibilities of everything and open myself up to the reality that we are all part of this life-force energy.
It was not an out of body experience, nor did I see”God.”
What I did do, was connect.
Adi Da spent the better part of 40 years, teaching people around the world about a divine power and the conduit reality of connection.
I feel it is incumbent upon all of us, to absorb his lessons and live inside that energy.

My apologies for the delay in this weekly column. I literally have seven other writing dead-lines the next three weeks.
I believe no sitting President should ever be given a honeymoon, especially from the independent and alternative media, such as myself.
I've never done it for any other president, but i will do it now, for one column only; in the interest of pointing this nation towards higher ground.
President Obama mentioned in his speech that we need to “pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and get back to the work of making our nation great once again . . .”
I refuse to over analyze this, like all other columnists, talk show hosts, commentators and anchors have already.
I mean to take the new President at his word.
“We The People” have allowed, through many different avenues, this nation to be where it is.
Well the finger pointing, name calling and blame game is over. Over and done with, got it?
We The People . . .
That means you, sitting there at home, watching the news, crossing your fingers that everything will be okay, hoping everything will work out. You the one who just spent nearly two years of your life bitching about the previous President and his advisors.
Time for you to un-cross those fingers, turn off the boob tube and write your Congressman or Senator a letter. Time to stop hoping that things will get better and get out there, attend a city council meeting and make it better. Time to go to a political party meeting and take that meeting over. Hoping things will get better is nice, safe and useless.
Putting on your shoes, grabbing the kids and working for a bond issue is making it better.
We The People . . .
That means you, the media, including FRN Newsletter.
Time for all of us to once again look to the five pillars of journalism and make them matter.
I pledge right here, right now, that FRN Newsletter will publish no fact, no context and no material that has not been triple sourced for accuracy.
It means a lot of back ground work and running down stories, but that is what a journalist does.
It takes more than a Google and Yahoo search to be a journalist.
We The People . . .
The Liberal elitist perception of how America should be engineered, shall never cross paths with the conservative, independent spirit of the “go getter” majority.
So why can't we all get along?
A function, dare i say, vibrant America can set the world a-fire, even if liberals and conservatives don't see anything eye to eye.
In other words, its a plenty big country.
Come on folks, we are Americans.
Pick yourself up, dust off the negative news stories of the past 24 months, and lets get down to getting down.

A brand new year starting off with some random thoughts.
Obama n company are vacationing at this $30 million three 5000 square foot mansions, with waterfalls and ponds. You mean the architect didn't consider a utility building, on the back of the property, with a self-starting natural gas generator?
For those of you serious minded Science fiction geeks, of all ages, creed, color and orientation. We are now Four months and four days away from the re-birth of Star Trek. All those geeks who have not seen the new trailer at least five times, you must stop reading now and do so. I'm not kidding, from this point forward there will be a certain minimum requirement of time all sci-fi geeks who read this column, must put into being a geek. I personally have enough movie money saved up to see it twice now.
Okay all you non sci-fi geeks, its over, I'm done talking about Star Trek, you can open your eyes.
Today, when I meet my friend Laurie for lunch, I am going to have to decide between the restaurants huge pasta dinner or trying their Reuben. I have never tried the Reuben there, and I am always on the look out for a good Reuben sandwich.
Okay, so you would rather have me tap out random thoughts on sci-fi stuff? You must decide how you want to be tortured in these random thought columns. Torture by my ramblings of sci-fi, or ramblings of a lunch order. Its totally up to you my readers, on how i torture you with my sense of humor and singular wit. This is the part where you laugh and share this with a friend or loved one. Those of you opening up another session and surfing the net are not playing nice.
Do you ever wonder why we don't have more broken eggs in those cartons? You think about how fragile they are, and how many are placed in cartons on automated production lines. So if you get one broken egg every three months, you are doing pretty good, in my book.
The 2009 Ford F-450 has a cargo bed capacity of 6140Ibs. Isn't that just music to your ears?
I finally upgraded to a Blackberry and I think everyone who has a regular cell phone should have one. They are very cool. If only I could figure out my text messaging on the new thing. I can build computers, but still need a 19 year old tutor for portable communication devices. Go figure.
I was listening to a news-talk show the other day, and the host was mentioning a department of labor form, his assistant had to fill out. Question 13 was “Do you or anyone within your company handle uranium?” I would like to know how many forms they get back where people give a ”yes” answer to that question. Even if you do handle uranium, as part of research or defense contracting, why would you tell the labor dept. and have your name on a list. How many government officials are we paying to make up questions and forms like this?
Did you know there were literally thousands of different kinds of apples back in the 1880s? This is actually a quiz, being that I mentioned it over three years ago, and i expect all of you to remember such things. In three years we will have another quiz on this, so you better start boning up.
Some group in America decides on what words should be taken out of daily language. “Green” is this year's candidate, amongst others. Apparently we are using the word way to much. I agree. Still the word must stay around, because there are many cool 60's and 70's songs with the word green. Plus pre-school and kinder-garden teachers have to be able to teach colors. Right? Green stays.
Thats it, I am on to the next big thought and crafting a heavy duty column for next week.
I leave you with this last random thought.
It has always been my belief that Russian dressing makes for a better Reuben sandwich than trying to slide by with thousand island.
I have to lose 11 pounds to get back to my target weight of 177.
I guess you could say food references win out over sci-fi geekness for this collection of random thoughts.

Senator Obama vs Former President Lincoln
In a head to head match up, according to the main0stream mush media, it is a near dead heat.
How utterly sad, the level of education amongst today's media elites.
My nice way of saying how sick and tired I am of the Lincoln/Obama comparisons.
Lets set the record straight:
Lincoln came from Illinois, Obama was born either in Kansas or Kenya, depending on how the birth certificate thing plays out.
I will grant that both men came to power during times of great turmoil in America. The difference being, Lincoln came to power when America was literally tearing itself apart. Today America is being torn apart by largely external forces.
I do believe President-elect Obama is a very smart person. He also has very good tele-prompter skills and can work a room.
President Lincoln was an intellectual giant for the ages. Beyond smart, beyond brilliant. Lincoln saw the very destiny of mankind and sacrificed everything to help edge America towards the brighter part of human inspiration. Lincoln had wisdom and a deep understanding of the human condition. Obama has many good advisors.
Obama is a politician through and through, who fully embraces the thuggery darkness of Chicago machine politics.
Lincoln will go down in world history, as one of America's great statesmen of all time. The American President who understood, duty, personal sacrifice and love for America's Constitution.
I'm not trying to be cranky. I understand that in the absence of real leadership people will follow any person who knows how to work a room.
People fall in love with a young warrior prince leader. It is very much what we do. And all this talk about the power house cabinet he is putting together, of experienced talented people. That's a bunch of crap. Except for a few smaller cabinet posts, all Obama has done is pick “Washing-tonians.” Hillary, Gates, Emanuele, Richardson and other top advisors. All insiders.
This is where i must inject my own experiences again. It really is different, after you have been to D.C. Multiple times, to work as an independent political consultant, trying to do the hard work of the constitution. Washington, D.C. Has it's very own “culture”, it's own system of hierarchy. It is proof positive that the entire “Washin-tonian class” must be swept away. When you walk the halls of congress, doing your best to open doors and minds to your legislative proposals, you feel utterly small and very much “un-wanted.”
I am not being a downer, I know when fellow adults are trying their best to tolerate me for 45 minutes, and then move on to a “real” meeting, with a lobbyist bearing tidings of big checks with at least one comma.
America will suffer these next four to eight years, with this near death experience of Socialism.
President-elect Obama is one of those very lucky politicians, who happens to be educated at the proper age, and living in a time of great change within the world. A time that allows for a David Axelrod to enter his universe and elevate him to “Savior” status.
Sure there was plenty of back room politics in the era of Lincoln, but seriously folks, I remind you of the time. Members of congress were not permitted a staff until 1880, when they were allowed to hire one person.
Even the “politicians” of that era were more capable people, than today's best and brightest.
Lincoln grew up in Illinois, long before there was even the hint of “The Chicago machine.”
The Chicago machine style politics came about from prohibition and the mid-wife of Alphonse Capone. Capone controlled every layer and level of Chicago politics. He controlled the mayor. Today, all of Chicago and by extension Illinois politics, are held captive by the children and grand children of that Capone era. Obama very early on, knew he wanted and had to be wired into that Chicago machine.
Obama may just be the luckiest politician in American history. He is now only 47 and coming into office after one of the five worst presidents ever to hold the office. He has a wonderful speaking voice, is very smart, well educated, well connected and understood by young people. He is handsome, tall and has a “likable” air he projects. He has a beautiful wife, beautiful daughters, who are kids, and he is getting them a long promised dog.
Lincoln had none of this. The only real thing Lincoln and Obama have in common, is that they were both one-term federal legislators. Outside of this, they have nothing in common

12/17 6:44pm
I started to write about “soft targets” and a brewing cyber attack on America, but then the FOMC lowered the federal funds rate to 0.00% to 0.25%
In all honesty I don't know which is worse for America long term.
Sad commentary on our future economic outlook, when a political analyst considers soft targets and cyber attacks “less immediate” than our impending dance of destruction with a de-based dollar.
I often wish I were only being mellow-dramatic at times like these, instead of deadly serious.
Remember back in the good old days of September 2008, when I told all of you we needed Treasury to issue $1.5 billion in Silver certificates by May of 2009? You remember those bright economic days of three months ago?
The “Federal Government debt clock” that I have on FRN's homepage, barely fits, now that another digit has been added.
A Trillion dollar deficit this year, and maybe a Trillion dollar deficit next year.
Those deficits are so large, i don't even feel like making a joke about it.
In 1991 the federal budget was $1.4 Trillion, if that gives you a base reference as to where we are now.
The FED has never had their rates this low, ever. The FED has floated the idea, that if it doesn't work, they will just print enough cash and dump it in the system.
As I have said before and i will hammer on again, this is EXACTLY the opposite of what must be done.
Current “economic policy” leads me to believe that the previous sentence is the only thing my keyboard is capable of writing, when ranting/raving on FED policy.
The federal government's debt obligation are now at $10.634 Trillion dollars, or 70.8% of GDP.
So what does that mean to you and me? At the pump? At the grocery store? Mortgage? Rent? Everything we buy and/or consume?
There is no way to put this gently, which is good, because this column is about hard edges truth.
Our currency has entered into a stage where it is essentially de-based.
The U.S. Dollar is worthless. The Federal Reserve and Federal Government are issuing Treasury Bills and federal reserve notes and only charging up to 0.25% for banks and other creditors to barrow them. It is “free money.” Literally not worth the fabric-paper it is printed on. Literally it is costing us money just to print it, let alone transport it from Federal Reserve banks to local bank branches.
Every fear I have ever had, regarding debt-based currency has been realized in the last 24 months.
These are the things that will happen:
OPEC is dropping oil production by 2.2 billion barrels a day. Gasoline will hit $2.5 to $3.25/gallon by August 2009. You will be buying that gas with money that is losing value at at least 12% a year. So a dollar in January of 2009 will buy 98 cents of goods/services in March of 2009.
Are you scared yet?
Inflation, including fuel and groceries will be at an adjusted rate of 12% to 15% for 2009. Even if by a twist of fate, the Treasury department were convinced to issue $1.5 Trillion in silver certificates by may 2009, it would barely matter. That is how much new debt has been dumbed on you lap in the last 14 months by the FED and Congress.
You think they would have kissed us first and bought a round of drinks.
The Trillion dollars that baby boomers will dump into he economy in 2010/2011 will buy us 2% of GDP stability. Might be enough to keep the Dollar afloat until 2015. This becomes less of a certainty as deficits climb towards the stratosphere.
Thats enough, more than enough for anyone to digest in one week.
I don't know where America is economically or financially anymore. I simply do not have access to the level of FED and Treasury data, that i would need to analyze this mess anymore in-depth.
I honestly would be throwing limited darts at a dart board to guess where the next disaster will be created or sold to us.
The U.S. Banking system has become one extended, real-time bailout.
Those bullet-points will happen, the hydraulics that govern money and inflation are at work. Nothing can stop it.
Thats all pretty dark and I wish there were an easier way to write what is next, but there never is.
We have now allowed the FED and Treasury to dump so much debt on us, that the next generation (current age 2 to 26) will grow up with less economic opportunity than we have right now.
Again this is a matter of hydraulics.
We have to mobilize at all levels, using every means of communication at our disposal to get FRN Newsletter's national plan of action in high gear.
Spread the word and forward those e-mails.
Signatures and a national referendum, forcing Congress to obey the people is out only hope.
Freedom has become an endangered species. Lets bring it back to life.

“Words from the Several States” column 005
:The Big Picture” part two
I'm trying to be a good and patient political analyst. Give the President-elect time to impress me.
That of course cannot be done.
Here is the big picture on Obama's administration so far.
All are former or current DC and Wall-street insiders.
Bet you're glad you didn't waste a google search on that!
Seriously, where is the change?
Obama is not appointing Democrats or Republicans. He is appointing people who are of the Washington power structure. Bob Gates and HRC as the most glaring of choices.
I've seen better change from the A side of a 45. to the B side.
Change, Dardzinski style . . . .
Ambassador Alan Keyes tapped to be Secretary of State. That would be a whole ball game right there. A man with deep state department credentials and deep understanding of the world, who happens to be a true conservative and patriot.
Change, Dardzinski style . . . .
Robert Bear as new Director of Central Intelligence. This is the guy currently hawking a book on Iran, and maybe one of the best retired CIA spooks this nation ever had. “Bob” knows Iran, knows the middle east, understands what the CIA really should be focusing on and I'd like to see him in the top job. The guy is the real deal. Station chief or division chief is not good enough. The guy has real vision and a point of fact understanding of the dark forces coming towards America. “Bob” is the kind of retired spook who simply got things done, even if it meant getting messy.
The whole picture:
America's whole political culture is about to be delivered into the hands of furthered Chicago thuggery. You would think Daley jr. of Chicago would put down his foot and force the Governor to resign. After all, in Illinois, the mayor of Chicago runs the state. It is the way the Chicago machine has worked for over 80 years now, and it shows no sign of letting up.
Senate seat for sale? What a wonderful way to show the big picture of just how corrupt all of American politics is. This scandal combines local, county, state and federal politics together in one nice big present.
The governor of New York resigned because he was sleeping with prostitutes and was married. Granted that is a moral crisis and very wrong, but he did not violate his oath of office.
The Governor of Illinois was going to auction off a senate seat. That is huge.
The big picture is why Americans allow this to happen. Something of this magnitude should stick in every voter's head from this point on, as a constant reminder. It is time to remove both major parties of all their political power, truly they have proven they cannot handle it.
The big picture continues . . . .
Every now and then, say 14 times a day, the main-stream mush media does something that makes my mad, or does something irresponsible and stupid.
Yesterday was no exception. The media launch into a story on ABC about how the low gas prices of $1.47 are bad for consumers and bad for America.
So lets first take the media through the economics 101 of a man living on survival money, namely me. Namely all of us who are working class/middle-class.
When gas was at $4.25 a gallon, I was spending $55 a week, just to get to work and run a few errands. Leaving literally $10 for my wallet, just in case I needed to buy lunch throughout the week. No spending money at all, unless i picked up O/T.
Right now I spend $22 a week, put $80 - $100 extra in the bank every month, and have $25 for my wallet. Allows me a movie and some spending cash and still a few bucks for the occasional lunch at work. This benefits me, my bank and the local economy.
Of course the media remains hopelessly ignorant of such basic life realities. It was not their intention to do a piece on how lower has prices has benefited people, they wanted to bend the story, slant it, to show how cheap gas does not allow for hybrids and alternative fuel cars to hit the market faster.
I gate the media . . . .

“The Big Picture” part 001
12/06 10:18pm
Thought 01
I don't believe I have ever started a “Sunday Morning deadline” column this late in the week.
Interesting how when you're a journalist you adhere to your “original deadline.”
My column started off in the Wyandotte Echo (small-town 3000 circulation newspaper). My deadline was Sunday 5pm.
That was three years ago now, the newspaper folded up shop, sad to say.
I can never truly express my gratitude to William Kyle, Editor n Chief of that 12 page weekly newspaper.
What does that have to do with “The Big Picture?” Everything folks, hang in there with me, we are swinging towards the fences on this one.
Thought 02
In 1995 one of my mother's specialists told me my mom had to go into a nursing home, because she needed full-time medical care and nursing aid.
At that point I had taken care of my mentally ill mother for six years and i wasn't about to turn her daily care over to a bunch of “professionals.”
Head-strong sons are like that at times, can't tell us anything when in comes to caring for our moms.
Three years later I had to put mom into a nursing home because it was way beyond what i could do as far as care.
My mom, like many residents of nursing homes, was excellent at bingo. At the first nursing home they won a quarter per game and mom would save them up and buy things for my twin sister. My sister had her own problems with depression and emotional issues.
One plaque my mom bought for Carla was a little butterfly and a saying “Life is fragile, handle with prayer.” Placed on top of a cross section of tree.
I just found it downstairs, I had put it down with a bunch of stuff, when we were hanging up different things in the kitchen.
I have a $4000 Howard-Miller grand father clock, limited edition for it's year and can not be replaced.
If my house burned to the ground, all I want is that plaque.
There is so much more to this particular thought but columns are just that, columns, not books.
Hang in folks because we're still talking about the big picture.
Thought 03
Mu neighbor had a 52nd birthday party this summer and he has a good group of friends. Ray is different though, he pays attention to the big picture more than most of his friends and family. He was trying to explain something to a friend about how we are not in global warming and his friend was just teasing him. Burned me up big time.
The big picture is this. I love what this nation was just a few months ago, before “TARP” changed us officially to a socialist nation.
I pick those random thoughts because they are all “pure.” Whether thoughts of love or conviction, they remain purely my own experience.
The American idea is much the same to me. Now it has been altered in a way that leaves a permanent darkness across the land.
How do we lift it? Change it?
Part two, we dig deeper and re-discover the American fire, its quest for independence once again. Thank you all for tolerating this violation of the column deadline.

“Words From The Several States” column 003
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Treasury Chief Timothy Geithner? Hmmm. It really is not such a bad idea, on many levels.
More important is the possibility of former President Clinton being appointed special envoy to the middle east. Regardless of CGI funding matters and other assets the Clintons have in UAE, its a very good idea.
Lets explore why.
President Clinton is just that, A former, mostly successful, President of the USA. Clinton has many personal relationships in the middle east. Clinton is also a very patient and methodical listener. Far more than I can say for the current Oval office desk jockey.
President Clinton also has a very good working relationship with Prime Minister Tony Blair, currently on assignment as Ambassador at large for the United Kingdom. Blair is held partially responsible for providing MI-6 Intel that allowed Bush to go to war; and he sent British troops. He is also a dogged and tough enough personality, to barter any deal with any cast of leaders. Tony Blair grew in stature, and he holds a place of good standing with me. I don't say that about many ex-British heads of state.
I think the combined star power, and huge political persona of Clinton-Blair is just what may be needed, to really bring peace to the middle eastern region.
11/23 8:16am
Looks like Hillary will be America's next top diplomat at State. If she can get through the Senate confirmation process.
Back to our analysis: Hey Timmy? Can you spare $7 Trillion?
11/24 10:02pm
His name is Timothy Geithner, current appointment, President, New York Federal Reserve Bank. Folks this is one of the nine or ten best jobs in all of politics.
Please let me know I'm being cynical here, or if If you think I'm hitting it right on the bulls-eye?
Following the careers and analysing FED movers and shakers, this is what we do here at FRN.
Lets talk about Timmy G. because this guy is what I like to call a political hybrid. He is both an insider and the guy who serves and protects the insiders. Kind of like the Karl Rove of the federal reserve for Greenspan and Volker.
Over the 26 year period that Volker and Greenspan controlled the FED and ruled the world, they appointed, recommended, tutored several generations of analysts, bankers, policy wonks and economic theorists.
Timmy G. has served his time and was appointed to a plum position, President of the New York FED.
The President of the New York FED over-sees about 70% of the nation's banking activity. Timmy G. has over seen about 70% of the nation's banking disasters since 2003. He is only 47 and already a keeper of the keys. You really do get no further inside the power establishment than President of the New York FED. The next highest position is Chairman of the FED in my opinion.
Timmy G. was gently whispered into Obama's ear by his Financial advisors. Paul Volker being the guru of that role. None of this surprises me.
I'm telling all of you, there is something very dark here, and it centers on an un-holy cabal between Treasury, The FED, AIG, J.P. Morgan Chase bank, Citigroup, Bank of America and the Senate banking committee.
I am not suggesting black helicopter stuff here. I wish it were something that small/
I firmly believe the FED and Wall street banks want their man, Timmy G., to be the Treasury secretary at this point and time, to keep certain banking relationships secret and to help facilitate the beginning structure of a global banking co-operative.
President-elect Obama may be smart enough to understand the lower level fringe, but I doubt he understands the mechanics of how this really affects every man, woman and child on the planet.
The first time I saw Timmy G. give testimony before the Senate, it was like the first time i saw Valdimir Putin. I see nothing behind the man;s eyes. Zilch, zero, nothing.
The advisors to Obama know exactly what and who they want at this critical point in human history, as we are pushed further towards the goal of global nation-states.
I say this with conviction because I've followed all these people for so long
It is a good trade on Obama's part, in his own mind. He is allowed to remove his largest internal party threat, by appointing Hillary to head State, and the international bankers get their inside man at treasury.
Everyone inside gets exactly what they want.
Next column we travel deeper inside the “dark money” sloshing around this world.
Watch out Timmy, now that you're Treasury chief, you become prime target for critical thinking of FRN. We never rest.....

“Words from the Several States” column 002
AIG is getting another $40 Billion from the FED and China introduces their own $600 Billion domestic stimulus package.
The China domestic stimulus package first.
This is cash by the way. When you run a country that has 9% to 12% growth in GDP annual, you can spend cash. Usually it's foreign cash that you are holding. Say U.S. Dollars.
China's cash stimulus package is centered around accelerating infrastructure and modernization projects, as more Chinese migrate from rural to coastal industrial living. China will see the upside on this $600 Billion through job programs, new skills being taught, improved infrastructure that will carry them mid-way through this century. I've said it before and I'll say it again, China has a plan. By the time China is done with all this infrastructure upgrades, their exports should rebound and they will see consistent 9% to 12% growth. A 9% annual bump in GDP. And that is a communist nation. Real quick, America could do the same, simply by eliminating capital gains tax.
This will allow China to keep on saving cash, extend lines of credit to other nations and use their export surplus to modernize their military and space industries.
Have I mentioned that China has a plan?
I pay very close attention to foreign policy surrounding China and the region.
AIG. I get a bad feeling here. Many millions of us probably do. $150 Billion, just like that. All of it in “OH MY GOSH” over night decisions. Even with the China element there is still something dark here.
My bet is several things are going on:
I think there are some deep personal relationships between AIG, Treasury and some folks in China. It may be months or years before newsletters like mine can bring that to surface, but trust me, we are looking.
Treasury knows that keeping AIG afloat is their key to Chinese credit. It seems almost every facet of foreign or economic policy has some level of Chinese consideration these last 10 years. Man, thats scares me.
and last, I think AIG has got a huge amount of insurance portfolios tied to a hedge fund and Treasury is deeply concerned about that. If Treasury is not concerned they should be. Pension, insurance, state bonds and oil futures invested in Hedge funds will be our next great bailout scenario.
Now lets take all that to the next level. Bush n crew are hosting the top 20 global economic players at an economic summit. I find this disturbing since Bush has about a C- average in economics. The meeting is being held as I type and will last less than a day. Sounds like a hug n kiss iss meeting and then they will have a more substantial meeting after Obama takes the oath.
If they all wanted to save the world from melt-down, they would agree to scrap the WTO and current trade deals and go back to straight tariffs.
The trans-national corporations and international banks would not like it, nor would the IMF, Federal Reserve or the Euro-central bank.
Tough.
The waning hours of a deeply failed presidency and he decides to host a summit where anything they truly discuss will be heaped out on us in two years as the “bright new idea.”
I don't trust this president or any of his advisors.
Now lets take it to the next level. The last five presidents have been nothing but disappointments.
Some will argue that Reagan brought down the Berlin wall. No! The 65% GDP spending done by the USSR on their military did that. Not to mention east Germans really wanted bananas.
The last four presidents have failed to be good people and their policies reflect that.
Though the oval office is very large, the people occupying it have grown very small.
No vision, no philosophy and no “Jeffersonian Liberal grasp” on the Constitution.
President-elect Obama has a chance to be different. 16 of his 19 person core transition team are former Clinton advisors and aids. Some change.
I see more AIGs and automotive bailouts. I see an endless army of U.S. Corporations sticking their hand out to the government and saying where is mine?
Lets take it one more level.
How far is down? A question you may be tired of me asking.
How far down will American leaders go, before we vote ourselves real leadership,
This president and the one about to take office, have literally become check writers and grocery clerks for corporate America.
That is how far down can be.
This column will get e-mailed to my local city government. I would ask you to do the same.

“Words From The Several States” column 001
That is the new name for FRN Newsletter's weekly economic/political column. It is the nature of everything to evolve. I want the column to focus in on the core economics, politics and hard news of the day. Even if that means, as a small newsletter that i continue to drop in hard news that I have triple sourced myself. It all matters.
The 26 months of this extended Presidential race has left me searching for some higher political ground.
I remain bitterly disappointed that we have again, elected a candidate from the establishment party. This time we elected President elect Obama, from the left wing of that party. It marks the first time I've predicted a presidential contest wrong. I honestly thought the Rove/Schmidt machine would over-come young voters swinging for Obama. I was wrong. David Axelrod has come into his own, as one of America's truly great political consultants.
How depressing that we live in an age of mediocre candidates who hire very powerful and brilliant campaign advisors, to sway voters to the left wing or the right. Truly a process that needs to be purged.
I dare say that process starts right here, right now.
FOX news just referred to it as “The winds of change”
Thats nice and it sounds quaint.
Some real news. What follows has been triple sourced.
While all this kissing and hugging and heavy breathing, between the President-elect and liberal media coverage, some old turf wars have broken out in Congress. I Love this stuff. It is a testament to how far change really needs to go.
Representative John Dingell (D-Michigan) is battling with Henry Waxman (D-California) for who will control the CAFE and environmental legislation. This is a battle that has been at a cold war status since 1998. It has become hot again, now that Speaker Pelosi is sowing some oats and may strip it away and place it under the committee that Waxman chairs. Also that Waxman may be picked to chair energy/commerce and Dingell my have to be the number two on the committee he has controlled for so many years.
Dingell is lining up his supporters and Waxman is ringing up his cartel. Everyone inside the beltway is wondering if the President-elect will stick his nose into this committee turf war.
In the Senate and far more publicized, for reasons that I don't understand. Lieberman is battling with Majority leader Harry Reed. Reed wants to punish Lieberman and strip him of his domestic homeland security chair and put him as chair of veteran's affairs ( the hind end of chairmanships in the senate).
Lieberman, to his credit, essentially told Reed to go walk himself off a peer.
Those are the kind of beltway battles i like during a congressional overhaul.
A word of advice to the newly minted President-elect, stay out of this turf battle stuff. Don't even work it through back channels or using one of your staff to pass messages.
Better for America to watch Congress act like fools during this economic hardship, than to swing at a pitch in the dirt as a new president. Don't let yourself be dragged into congressional in fighting, which has no upside and makes you look small on the world stage for caring in the first place.
Why do I offer advice to a president-elect whom i hold in the same low regard as a former six-year lack luster governor of Texas?
Because i need him to focus.
I already know he picked a throat cutter like Congressman Emanuele, because he wants a strong arm to ram his socialist policies through Congress. I already Know Axelrod will accept a “special advisor to president” type position, so that Axelrod can manage an “Obama image” over the next four years. I already know Obama will use the Government as end all and be all to “solve” our economic woes.
But at the very least, I need Obama to not care what Congressional assignment goes to whom, so that he can focus on the far bigger role of commander n chief, in a world full of delicate and complex relationships, all going sour.
I need him focused so that when Colin Powell whispers the right answer ( the opposite of Biden's) in his ear; Obama will be clear headed enough to hear the former Secretary and retired general, and know “what” to do.
Why am i calling the column “Words from the Several States?”
“The Several States” is a phrase used quite often in the Constitution, to describe what powers are left to the states and to describe what the states have as responsibility to the people.
As an independent voter and political analyst who is a self-described “Jeffersonian Liberal.” I consider myself in political exile right now. America has elected a socialist, so I choose to use terminology from the days of when our scared document was written.
Everything does evolve, even during periods of extreme set-back, like the last 28 years of federal government history.
I choose the hard path for this Newsletter, the column and my work for restoring America to a gold standard. I choose the hard path because hard work means a solid foundation for building a re-birthed American idea.
True conservatism has lost this round, true constructionists must now step forward and begin the work.
The Presidential race is over and the headline newspapers are now available on ebay for $90 a pop ( that is what the New York Times November 5th edition was bringing in).
The path is lit and I ask you to take my hand, as we etch out a hopeful America, and not allow erosion during these dark times.
A matter of intellectual and economic consistency:
As a note here, I do not support any type of government bailout for the auto industry. The federal government needs to do the right thing here. Which is go back to straight tariffs, proper trade policies, eliminate capital gains taxes and eliminate the federal income tax. Those moves alone would save every industry in America, not just auto and auto suppliers. This stuff is not complicated. A bailout is just more debt and more of the same.
Everything evolves and it all matters.

“People, Places and Things” column 029a
10/24 8:36pm
The “Person”: Dr. Alan Greenspan
The “Place”: Congressional hearing room
The “Thing”: Confessions of a fiat-money central banker
All of you may want to make sure the Dog has been let out, the stove is turned off and the kids are tucked in or playing video games for while.
I'm going to take my time, enjoy every key stroke of this column and tell you a story about Dr. Greenspan and his central banking “style.”
He will be referred to as “Dr. Greenspan” through this entire column, so that the reader may know this man holds a PHD in economics and is one of the world's three or four leading economic theorists.
Its a joke referenced in several previous columns, but here and now I give you the true meaning of Christmas and a guy named Dr. Greenspan.
I wish i had a dvd-cam, so I could tape all of this
Dr. Greenspan is the ultimate political turncoat, the global power broker, the ultimate central banker and responsible for creating this global banking crisis. He designed it, allowed it to grow and will now watch his offspring bring global banking socialism for all 6.4 billion people on this planet.
Now i know what you're thinking, what are Dr. Greenspan's bad points?
Dr. Greenspan got up there and said that he did not foresee this banking crisis.
Wait right there! You are the most powerful person on the planet for 18 years, as FED chairman, and you didn't see it coming. Dr. Greenspan thought the mortgage lenders would be more prudent in protecting their portfolios of loans.
No, not buying it. I've followed Dr. Greenspan's career since the mid 70's, i know what he knows, I lived through the global banking derivative market he created, and I'm not buying what he is selling.
It is now and always has been the natural order of how you consolidate power. You have a very small group of people controlling the political power, a very small group controlling the corporations (everyone sits on everyone else's board), and even a smaller group controlling the banks.
This has always been the way that nations and empires have maintained their power. Now it will be used to usher in a global banking and government cartel.
Very sad actually, Dr. Greenspan wrote an incredible essay back in the mid 60's about how the gold standard was the only safe haven for the citizenry and a free nation. The only way to protect against robber baron governments and inflation. Like i said the ultimate political turncoat.
Take a look at where we are right now, the bankers of the world are calling all the shots. All powerful leaders are following their advice, because they figure the bankers know what they are doing. That much i agree on, the bankers do know what they are doing to you and me.
Dr. Greenspan knew an un-regulated derivatives market would lead to a global financial system leveraged 17 times the actual GNP. Global economic GNP is $62 Trillion a year. There are 1000 trillion dollars in derivatives in the world markets, or approximately 17 times global GNP. No market place can sustain that level of leveraged buying, selling and debt-based currency. There must be one dollar in the market place for every dollar leveraged.
Where we are and how we got here so quickly, an overview:
The 1990's. Brought us an entire world switching to a technology based manufacturing and banking system. Banks start consolidating at the same rate as large corporations. Dr. Greenspan ushers in the derivatives market. With new computer technology, in the 90's, it became possible for a very small group of people to effectively manage the global banking system.
Dr. Greenspan keeps rates way to low, way to long, government spending spirals out of control and both political parties sit back and do nothing. Cowards. Yes you, both major political party leaders, cowards. Can you hear me?
If it had not been the mortgage and lending industry, it would've been another segment of the global market place. Dr. Greenspan sat back, and let these bad mortgage loans be sold as investment vehicles, as part of hedge funds around the world. He knew what would happen, if an economic downturn came, which it always will when you have debt-based currency. The Boom-Bust cycle is part of the definition of fiat money.
Then comes the bailout and the new system of powers delegated to government. Because only government and international bankers can now save the day.
You notice how quickly all the world wants to have this global economic summit, while the world's population is being scared to death by a complacent media?
10/25 7:36pm. The IMF has been touted at the recent Asian economic summit, to take the lead on bailing out nations in trouble. Bet you one federal reserve note this will be one of the talking points when world leaders descend on D.C. To discuss restructuring of global banks and credit policy. It would not surprise me, if after that meeting, the IMF was given authority to work “cooperatively” with central banks around the world.
Senator Kennedy is pushing hard, bringing the lobbyists together with politicians, to get the ground work done on national health care. Quick note here, Hawaii just stopped their socialized health-care for the 2000 children it was covering. The system was going bankrupt after only seven months. It seems one of the un-intended consequences was people were dumping their current coverage to get the government coverage. Everyone should take a deep breath and absorb this. Imagine how quickly our entire nation will go bankrupt with national health-care and more un-intended consequences. That is the problem with elitists, they never think people will stray from the socially engineered plans they lay down. Then when it happens and people do what people do, the elitists is left to say “Huh?” This would be reason number one why I am opposed to having anymore ivy league or establishment leaders for a few generations.
The Treasury dept. is now talking about taking partial ownership in selected insurance companies the way they did the nine largest banks three weeks ago.
ARE YOU SCARED YET?
Mid sized banks are buying each other, using the bailout money as down payment. Large banks are bottom feeding, buying up assets across the board. Word from inside DC is that up to 10% of the bailout money will go towards Wall Street bonuses, parachutes et-al. At some point doesn't this all sound like a very sad country-western song?
Hedge funds are selling stock like there is no tomorrow (in the dark money world of hedge funds, there is no tomorrow, only a margin call), because they want their assets in cash to cover their bottom line. I'll swing back around to the inherent global dangers of hedge funds later in the column.
A girl i know works at a credit union and she tells me people call in all day, asking if their money is safe. They are directed to the credit union president to answer the questions. She also told me a lady came in, who went to her bank earlier that day, and they would not let her take out $600 cash. Only $600! I do wonder exactly what corporate line that credit union president has been given, to calm the nerves of would be callers. Credit Unions usually have one large bank they do business with. I'll bet you one more worthless federal reserve note that credit union president's hands are tied and he or she just tells the customer “your money is safe.”
ARE YOU SCARED YET?
My predictions about state and local governments wanting the federal government to cover their bonds, is coming true in real time I'm sad to say.
GM wants Treasury to write them a $10 billion check so they can use it to buy parts of Chrysler. If I were Chrysler I'd feel like someone's second choice for a Tuesday night cheap date. GM even thinking of going to Toyota for some green. I believe I put that in my book. Nissan may step in and buy parts of Chrysler. GMAC wants Treasury and the FED to recognise and regulate it as a bank holding group.
Nations around the world have started monetizing their commodities in Euros, Yen and Chinese dollars. The thought being that the U.S. Dollar is going into complete bankruptcy and no one wants to stick around for the after glow party.
I see no realistic way, America can survive another round of federal government bailouts, without surrendering more freedom. It is truly mind numbing how much was taken from us in the last five weeks. It is a very straight line of cause and effect. Anytime you allow any government authority more power over anything, you give up a little more freedom.
Dr. Greenspan said “ooops.”
I could do this all night, but I believe this here, gives a thumb nail impression. I could do this day and night. There is simply no way to fully convey the global debt structure that Dr. Greenspan has laid upon the world and now sits their on the hill and says “ooops.”
I studied political science and economic theory for three years in college. Before that however, I studied engineering and architecture in high school and my first two years in college,
I think every student majoring in economics should be required to take a basic architecture and engineering course.
In classes like that, you learn about pressures, elasticity, freezing points, melting points, R-factors of heat reflection and the properties of materials you are working with. You learn when something will bend and break. You learn this because when you design a “load bearing wall” for a three story building, man your figures need to be perfect. There is zero margin for error.
I absorb everything Dr. Greenspan did as FED chairman, and how it affects the world's “hydraulics and pressure points.”
I apply engineering principles to what is happening on every level in this global economic mess. Imagine my surprise when I bought 10W / 40 oil today and the price per quart was nearly double what it was last year. Thats the futures speculators and Hedge funds at work for you.
Dr. Greenspan knows all of this, yet he had enough gumption to go up the hill and say “ooops.”
Back to hedge funds. The truly sinister world of “dark money.”
An ex-CIA agent is hawking a new book, involving shifting middle eastern policy and shifting power. This guy is a real authority on Iran and I've come to trust his judgment and critical thinking over the last five years.
One “plan” Iran has for causing global chaos, involves setting off a nuclear device that would destroy huge refinery platforms in the middle east. My best guess would be one of the main refineries in Saudi Arabia.
Such an attack would cause global collapse of middle eastern oil supply, and cause an economic mushroom could for the hedge funds that control oil futures. In fact that is the real target, to instantly devalue those hedge funds. This would cause an economic collapse in America. It would bring Iran to the for front as a global power and truly bring us closer to a “Blade Runner” society of fighting for scraps in the streets.
I wonder If Senator Obama has any pre-packaged sound bites on that scenario.
That is the danger level of the world we live in.
I mention this one Iranian threat here, because it crystallizes the need for action and participation in a political process, so that our leaders do something. I hope the NSA and CIA are modeling response scenarios for such a situation.
I wonder, since he has top secret clearance, if Dr, Greenspan considers and considered such perils, as he was allowing derivatives and hedge funds to borrow and borrow and leverage and spend and create an un-sustainable level of global debt.
My guess is Dr, Greenspan did not consider this real world scenario. My guess is he wouldn't care about un-intended consequences to little people if he did. he did.

I think what has been lost in all of this is the context of power. I bring this up as a recap from many previous FED columns. There are twelve people who make up up the FOMC, the decision making body of the federal reserve.
Put that into context. Think about how many people it takes to manage and supervise the company you work for. The power to control the world's banking system, in the hands of twelve people, with the FED chairman calling most of the shots.
Set aside for a second, that the federal reserve in not constitutional, think about only twelve people with all that power.

This is why i am so fearful of Senator Obama becoming President. Former FED chairman Paul Volker has endorsed this junior senator. I think someone with the global influence of Paul Volker endorses someone like Obama, because he knows Obama will be on-board with whatever global-banking-economic structure Paul Volker-Alan Greenspan n friends have brewing.
This is not black helicopter stuff, this is right here, right now, ripped from the headlines.

Random Thoughts from inside my little brain and out into the big bad world. And all of it, for the price of a paper-clip.
Speaking of paper clips, I like the kind that have the little grooves cut into them, so they grab the paper real good. I have a lot of paper clips in my office/computer room. Which is strange now that I think of it, since almost everything i do is online, saved on a floppy or disk. Weird, huh?
I have a rust spot I was repairing on one side of my truck. The other side, exact same spot is completely fine. I hate that.
We are now only three weeks away from the new James Bond movie. I hoping there is a long set-up to that one trailer line “MI-6 says he is nearly un-controllable.” Is that a cool line or what???
Since you are movie-geeking with me right now, if you go to yahoo movies, they have photos for the new Starr Trek movie due for May 2009 release. We will stop the column here for several minutes, because i know you feel the over-whelming urge to click on those pictures. Please, take your time . . .
That was great, wasn't it?
I am not a huge football fan, but do try and follow my Detroit Lions; as painful as that can be at times. Today they were losing to the Houston Texans ( 6 season expansion team). Come on guys.
Two weeks until my 41st birthday. I miss my twin sister, Carla Frances. She died of mental illness when she was 39. I don't talk about it much and don't know why i mention it now. Random thoughts are just that gladly sacrifice 20 years off my life, if I could spend this birthday with my twin sister, have her here so we could hit the Old Country buffet in Southgate.
Random Thoughts on the Powell endorsement of Senator Obama.
This is big, huge, a monster. Big enough that I am breaking my general rule, and writing about the election again. I have many thoughts on this topic. I have been following Secretary Powell's career ever since President Carter pulled him out of relative obscurity at the pentagon, back in the late 70's. Sec. Powell to me is truly a transcendent American leader. The only American leader left, who's international reputation precedes that of himself, any president or cabinet officer. Colin Powell is larger than life, more popular by far, than President Clinton. With the possible exception of Henry Kissinger, no American understands the entire world better than Powell. Which is why he should've been Secretary of State for a President who respects the very complex affairs of foreign diplomacy. Instead he got tapped to serve George W., whose understanding of foreign policy is that of Taco Bell being considered top notch Mexican food.
If Powell would've formed an independent party with say Mayor Bloomberg, then this entire presidential race would have been finished two weeks after the conventions.
Let me toss these out there:
My inner core tells me that Powell is still a true Jeffersonian Liberal or a Madisonian conservative. I think Powell is looking at the whole global picture and thinking what will it take to force the republican party back to real honest Lincoln styled conservatism. Powell probably foresees American politics stuck in the mud for another four decades if a lack-luster moderate like McCain wins. Then Palin loses and liberals get back in, and so forth and so on. You can write this narrative just by looking at the last 40 years of American political down slide. Powell is looking beyond all that and thinking he will burn down the village of the current republican despots and deliver unto America a re-birthed party, after four years of near death socialism, Obama style. Powell knows the world will crumble over the next four years, economically at home and foreign policy abroad. Maybe Powell is the only conservative in America of singular stature, to force one party back to it's roots by scaring the life out of them. Which is why he would wait until his endorsement would have maximum damage on McCain. It also forces the Democratic party, in four years to return to the party of Jefferson.
Second angle. Powell fell on his sword for Bush, when he was ordered to go sell the Iraq war to the U.N. Security council. Even the most principled man would be wanting some payback, after doing such a thing. Especially since Powell knew the Intel gathered was not worthy to make the WMD case. Powell should want to stick it to Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice. All of them combined are not 1/100th the public servant that Powell was and still is.
Third: I take Senator Obama at his word, that he would want Powell to serve in some kind of un-official advisory position. A cabinet position is to small for Powell at this point. Powell, if Obama would be so lucky, needs to feel free to come and go at the white house and roam the world for that matter, advising the junior senator from Illinois.
Fourth, McCain should take comfort. This endorsement shows how weak Obama really is on everything. If Obama were a real global transformational leader, then he wouldn't be playing Chicago thuggery politics and slamming Joe the plumber.
Finally: There are many stunned republicans and conservatives in America this week. All wondering as I have, many are pretty mad. Powell is counting on that, to make sure they are the new foot soldiers in this “Powell philosophical Army” to rid the party of robber barons and demagogues, starting with his last boss.
I'm putting my trust in General Powell's hands, that he will see this nation through a period of real darkness. Real generals, like real leaders, never retire.

I am a huge critic of nearly every aspect of the Federal government.
WOW! ! ! really knocked my readers over with that revelation . . .
Yes, I firmly believe 80% of what DC is doing should be returned to the states or to the people.
I set it up like that, because i want to give credit when government does something positive, such as facilitate the opening of actual dialog. Especially when it involves our biggest problem, the federal reserve.
A staffer in one of Senator Debbie Stabenow's Michigan offices, returned my call.
She gave me the bill number HR 2755, introduced by Texas Congressman Ron Paul. It is a Federal Reserve abolition bill. I expect nothing less from Rep. Paul, who has been my hero, mentor and champion of this issue for over 25 years.
I knew the bill was out there, but never had the bill number. I have attached it with this column, so that we may all share in spreading it around, for discussion.
This bill is exactly what we need to help with the National Plan of Action, i propose.
Many detractors think such a national referendum is a waste of time and cannot force Congress to uphold their oaths.
Rep. Paul's four page bill lays out an explicit road-map for how the federal reserve board and federal reserve banks can wrap up their affairs in 18 months. Plenty of time during that period to start phasing in silver and gold certificates, as actual legal U.S. Currency.
I read the entire bill in under 10 minutes.
Give yourself that one hour a month four participation. Contact your congressional delegation and ask them to support H R 2755. Short and sweet.
But enough of me tapping on the keyboard, here it is cut n pasted for you:

“People, Places and Things” column 026b
10/10/08 11:43pm
I'll start with these two thoughts:
I could quit my job this minute and do nothing but update my newsletter website and write economic columns, and i would still be way behind the curve.
How far is down?
I am mystified that only seven days have passed since President Bush signed HR 1424 into law. Better know as “TARP.”
I plan on reading every page of it over the next few months. I want to be the only independent economic theorist who does, so I can be sure I fully understand the TARP that has now become America's economic road-map.
As of right now, I've read a good 80 pages, enough to see the huge power grab that has taken place. The $850 Billion is just a nice payoff for certain troubled assets of certain troubled banks. By the way, there are 8500 small banks in America that were not involved with these complex financial vehicles and derivatives. But TARP is not about that, its about taking care of a select few banks, just like the federal reserve wants things done. This entire situation shows how certain large banks are protected by the FED and government and the rest of the country be dammed.
Effectively inside of three weeks we have allowed the federal government to socialize the mortgage and banking industries.
The most important and under reported part of TARP, is the section giving authority to the Treasury secretary to buy shares in any bank and hold them for whatever period of time deemed necessary. Yes there is an over-sight board, but trust me, when you read and see who comprises that board, it will be a rubber stamp process.
G-7 leaders and finance ministers are meeting as i write. Discussing which components of which banks they “cooperatively” want to buy up. As the IMF and World Bank presidents talk about working through a global recession “cooperatively.”
Folks, the amount of debt-based worthless currency that has been created so far, will cause hyper inflation. We will pay for all of this three times, the initial bailout cost, then through inflation and then through interest payments back to the federal reserve. This bailout is like adding gasoline to a house fire. The economists on CNN, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, etc., know this, they know I know this. They also know the root cause is debt-based currency. Debt-based currency has an intrinsic value of ZERO, and only gains “value” through government authority. ALL debt-based currency will eventually return to zero value. You cannot change the nature of debt-based currency. Something either has value or is does not. Gold, Silver, Platinum, Labor all have intrinsic value. They always have and they always will. You cannot change the nature of something that has value.
I have been waiting for one of these really smart ivy league economists to come on TV and say this. But they won't. That is not fine with me, but I'm beginning to see that FRN Newsletter and hundreds of other small economic newsletters will need to do the heavy lifting on this issue of debt-based currency.
Those ivy league economists also know a gold/silver standard is the real solution, but it would force the FED and federal government to give up their control of our free-market system and put it back in the hands of regular people. Imagine 1% inflation every ten years under a gold/silver standard, instead of 10% to 12% per year like we have right now..
So ask yourself, what benefits you more when shopping, buying groceries and filling the gas tank. Using lawful U.S. Money, backed gold and silver, that retains its value or worthless federal reserve notes that cost you buying power every second of every day?
It happened just like this in Czarist Russia, when the Bolsheviks took power. Quietly, without guns and ammo. By force of will alone.
Now there i go again. Comparing what is happening in modern day America, to a past example of when socialism began in another part of the world.
Economists on TV don't want to call it that. The federal government will probably take my house away for writing such things and accuse me of being against the norm for suggesting it in the first place.
Another point of history, we already tried all of these “fixes” before the great depression. The only difference is now we're doing it world wide.
By The Way, just so everyone is on the same page as to how real, and how dangerous this government power grab is. I received a letter from Treasury several days ago, about a possibly levy against my house.
Do I have your attention now?
Protection for real “Political speech” is all but dead in America, and we are heavily watched without knowing it. I can make that clear and present statement now, because i have an actual letter from Treasury to back up my words. And I am just a small time guy with a little website. They're not taking my house and they are not shutting me up. The Federal Reserve is un-constitutional and it must go.
I wonder how many people will stand by my side now. Or will Americans run for their houses, close the door, pull the drapes and just hope they won't be next, as their neighbors are taken away.
I knew this day would come, and I am afraid for our freedom.
How far is down? This does not refer to the Dow Jones Industrial average, but to how far will we allow our freedoms to whittled away in back rooms of federal government offices.
I have a good mind to send copies of this column and the Treasury letter to my Senators and Representative. Do you think they will lift a finger to help a citizen who is being targeted for political purposes?
Do I have your attention now?
The bailout will do nothing to stop the mortgage crisis. I think everyone already knows that. There will still be foreclosures and America will suffer severe economic times for seven to nine more years. According to my numbers.
Saturday, October 11, 2008. The G-7 will issue something of the following. They will be a general agreement to buy, partially buy or guarantee directly, major banks around the world. It will be done cooperatively. They may even decide to set up some kind of international oversight board to handle this cooperative global rescue, which is of course designed to make us all feel safe and thank the world leaders for doing it. Can you feel the Constitution being whittled further away?
Many times over the last 25 years or so, I've over heard some refer jokingly to me as one of “those people.” The ones others laugh at, because we think the government is conspiring against freedom.
I don't think the government is conspiring to take our freedoms away. I don't believe that and i never have.
Why does the government need to conspire? They just simply pass laws, written by lobbyists and lawyers, that gives more power to the government and a select group of banks and corporations.
I have been trying very hard the last three years to get my latest legislative proposal reviewed by Congress, the White House and Treasury. I guess i got my answer.
I get to write these things because i truly believe it is time to sound an alarm.
It is the perfect way to do a huge power grab. The economy has been tanking for 18 months, secretary Paulsen was working on this bailout bill several months ago, and we have a Presidential race happening.
Well, I will be sending this column out, along with my National Plan of Action, for restoring America to a gold/silver standard.
I don't do this for money, fame or glory. I do it because someone has to start something somewhere, if we are to return all of America's freedom.
I really am afraid of this levy on my house, I've never been here before, looking over my shoulder. It really is different when you have a letter stating their intentions.
You see this time, the powers that be are not just interested in one nation. They will surely use the current global credit crisis to slowly move us toward accepting a global currency. As I have mentioned in previous columns, the United Nations already has the plates on file, its called the Bancor note. They've has these plates ready to go for over 25 years.
This is not Black helicopter stuff. This is real-time and right here.
This changes nothing, it stops nothing. I haven't come this far, to do my small part for American freedom, to be scared into silence.
I'll continue to work hard and stand by you, if you will all do your small part and stand together with me. Nothing can stoop a citizenry united.
I wonder if my particular situation will be noticed by the main-stream mush media? Probably not, they're busy spinning the election coverage in 14 different directions.
Like i said, its different when you have a letter to back all this up.
I guess this is all very different for all of you as well. Now its not just a story on TV or Radio news, about someone who was leaned on by dark government officials. Now its actually someone you know. My eyesight may not be very good, but I sure know how to read the words “lien on your house.”
Anyways, i kind of broke a rule of journalism, by using my own horror story to prove just where America stands, but I can only write the truth There are elements of this column that people will think i went to far in my characterization of what is happening to America. No. The definition of socialism does not change over the centuries. I see a “BLade Runner” society coming into fruition.
Do I have your attention now?
One hour a month folks, pass it along. Please keep this national movement going. At the end of the day there is no substitute for citizen participation.

“People, Places and Things” Column 026
“Conservative philosophy trumps Liberal elitism”
My final thoughts on the 2008 prez-wannabe race. I want to throw out for discussion the much larger premise, regarding the war in America. The war for seeing the Constitution restored verses dark forces who seek an America divided.
There in lies the crucible. Conservative belief structure is centered around individuals united behind the idea that a limited republic requires action, responsibility and one person saying to another “You are my brother and I stand behind you, beside you but will never stand in your way.” Conservative beliefs recognize America is an unfinished idea, craving the inclusion of all seeking to complete that idea and reap the bounty of it's fruition.
Liberal elitism stands above society, looking down into a nation divided into “groups.”
Liberals do not like individuals because in an elitist mindset, the individual holds no power. Only groups matter, because a group can be rallied, angered, exploited and used as foot soldiers to promoted narrow interests of the elitist. Liberal Elitists have goals to see America made into their particular image. Liberals believe a society should be engineered and conformed for our own good. Liberal elitism never even allows for the consideration that an individual may have an idea. An idea on anything, that may shed light on a theory or scenario that runs contrary to what the elitist has laid down as engineered dogmatic truth.
On almost every level, liberal elitism is far more hideous than communism, socialism and fascism. Those three political theories are upfront and brutally honest about how a society should be ordered under a central government. Liberal elitist will gladly use the aspects, perceptions and tools of those three systems to their endgame, but will look you right in the face and tell you “its all for the common good.”
What fuels the fire of this commentary are the latest rounds of homeless voter registrations now in full swing. Liberals are rounding up homeless, driving them to shelters, registering them, shoving democratic ballots in their faces, and then dumping them back onto the street. You can set your watch to how precise and accurate liberal elitists are at “pimping out the homeless.”
This is not a difference of a hand-up verses and handout. The difference in these political theories is far greater. Liberal elitism believes in creating theories, study groups, plans, doctrines and marshaling groups to shoe horn their very souls into the cookie cutter of pre-programmed social die-cast.
Conservative philosophy is far to busy allowing the individual to grow and evolve within a free America, to worry about cookie cutters, die-casting and labeling of a “problem”, so a “government funded solution” can be hammered in to place.
Conservatism places no limits on individual success and celebrates your ability to achieve any dream. Liberal elitism sits around talking about ways to solve problems and finding a government program that will increase the problem.
The Democratic Party used to be the party of Jefferson, but it has been hijacked by ideologues who refuse to see beyond the next government grant and will not birth the dream, of a society united.
The GOP used to be the party of Lincoln, but was to hijacked, by robber barons and ideologues of their own.
I see no hope for the Democratic party future, as they further become torn us-under into empty spheres of blameless conditions, exacting zero atonement for failed policies and demanding we accept Chicago style thuggery as the “agent of Change.”
I see a small ray of light coming from the Republican party inner core, in the form of a 44 year old Alaskan governor. I woman who got involved because her kid's school was broken and she wanted to do something about it. She didn't want or need a liberal elitist to tell her this or how to swindle money from millions of taxpayers. She jumped in and fixed it herself.
Liberal elitism builds huge temples to shelter society from one harmless raindrop. Conservatism grabs an umbrella in the worst of storms and heads off to work.

“People, Places and Things” Column 025 (I hit “delete twice this time)
Anytime you have lobbyists, Treasury, Wall Street, Congress, the president and federal reserve all working together; you can bet your last worthless dollar, that it will become law.
They are calling it “TARP” and I have a link on my “Columns OP/ED” page.
This Trillion dollar bailout will happen, so lets talk about the next big thing that will destroy more of America's free-market.
I think it will be local/county/state government bonds, pension funds or Bank of America that will be the next big bailout the federal reserve and federal government will try to heap on our backs. This will happen in the next five to eight years. If it is Bank of America it may cost $1.2 Trillion alone. Out of the three scenarios I'm listing, bailing out Bank of America is by far the cheapest. It would de-base our currency (de-value) by 4% over night.
Are you scared yet?
I see America in 12 years with our dollar completely debased after the next big bailout. I see the Euro, Yen or some combination thereof being the new benchmark of fluctuating interest rates.
I see $2 loaf of bread at $4, I see fist fights in gas lines.
Remember the “Hoovervilles?” For those of you to young, please google it.
We are already there now. A city of RV's and campers is in the south west, people displaced and mobile, living day to day, looking for jobs.
Are you scared yet?
I see Kroger's, Farmer Jacks and other grocery stores getting broken into for the food and water, not the cash.
I see pawn shops making a killing. I see real inflation going over 12% a year. I see federal deficits over $500 Billion (all funded by even more debt, and so forth and so on).
Are you scared yet?
No, I'm not a skipping record player or CD player for you younger readers.
I see Talk about Americans standing in long lines to buy groceries and wondering how the hell they can make the next mortgage note or rent payment. I see gas at $5 a gallon and i see that one happening very soon.
The people that put our Constitution together were not dumb. They saw almost everything that was NOT working and made sure it was kept out of the new Constitution for the brand new United States.
They had seen how inflation with a debt-based currency had caused havoc everywhere it was used during the revolution. When they voted to strike the words “emit bills of credit” from the text, and stick with a gold/silver backed money system; they knew it was the only way for a nation to be free and have sound money.
Are you willing to spend one hour a month, to stop this madness of debt-based dollars?
This current bailout does nothing to solve the problem, it only contains the current situation.
Ridding ourselves of the federal reserve and worthless money, is our only hope. It is why i write this column, why I promote a national dialog with my website and why I've written my books.
I do this not to become wealthy off my books. I fight this fight because the FED has broken this nation in two and i will not sit back and let it happen any longer. I will not sit around waiting for someone else to do what must be done.
I know why people tend to not get involved in this issue. Its to big, the government should handle it, how can i make a difference?, I don't have time, i don't understand it, etc.
The government will never eliminate the FED and go back to a gold standard unless we the people make them adhere to their Constitutional obligations.
Give me one hour a month on this. . . .
Click on my website, read my “National Plan of Action” Get the five signatures after you print the petition page and mail them into me.
Then tell all your friends to do the same, e-mail my national plan of action to everyone you know.
Then once a month, call your Senators, Representative, state officials, local officials and tell them to support my plan and tell them to support a new gold/silver standard.
Then do the same thing next month. Just one hour.
Constant pressure on our officials, while gathering signatures nationwide for a petition to send to Congress.
If everyone does just an hour a month, we can get this done.
Just set aside that one hour, say right after you write out your mortgage or rent payment. Let it be your constant reminder, as your buying power shrinks, due to the FED and their cronies.
If we keep doing what we've always done, which is elect leaders who promise change, then we will never see change.
I asked you if you were scared, because i don't want to live in an America filled with fear.
I want this nation to be free, and i want to keep it free.
Decisions are made by the people who show up. Lets kick in the doors of illegal power, and rid ourselves of servitude to the FED.

“People, Places and Things” Column 024
The main reason I spent two weeks on the last column, is I didn't want to give myself a chance to write about the 7th anniversary of 9/11. Al-Qaida is still a deadly threat and our federal public officers have zero political will. Enough on that.
Back to the egg . . .the federal reserve and their many crimes against the United States and her citizenry.
When I e-mail this column to my eight contacts at the FED, do you think they will take that opening line to heart? A Political analyst can only dream.
Chairman Ben and his co-conspirators at the FED have decided not to raise federal fund's rates this time around at the FOMC meeting.
Hedging their bet if you ask me.
I think all the really smart people at the FED want to sit out a few months and see what happens next in the markets and with the economy in general.
In other words, they are fully aware of the amount of cash they have dumped into the system during the last 18 months, inflation is on the rise and how the hell do we shore up the dollar?
The entire FOMC and senior FED advisors should guest star on the T.V. drama “Lost.”
Okay, that satisfies my opening rank n rave on economics, now it's time to do what we do at FRN Newsletter; offer up detailed real-time solutions and send them out into the Ethernet.
09/07 10:08am
So Freddie Mac and Fannie May have new parents. Yes, I have triple sourced my information on this one. Again, doing the main-stream media's job for them.
Before you even read this column the FED and Treasury will be taking at least partial conservator ship of both mortgage houses. Effectively placing 45% of U.S. Residential sub-prime mortgages under FED control. Approximately $3 trillion in mortgages.
This should be New York Times front-page, CNN hour-long coverage, FOX news day-long coverage.
But Nooooo, barely touched, just a quick 20 second piece on CNN radio, and 15 second clip on the major networks.
You see how this grew? First it was just a $25 billion bailout, then a $300 billion open line of credit from the FED and Treasury. Now, two months later the FED and Treasury are signing adoption paperwork and using our wallet to pay for it.
I don't know about you, but I prefer a movie, dinner and drinks before someone gives me the shaft.
Obama and McCain camps have both asked Secretary Paulsen to hang around past January 20. Paulsen said no, to both candidates.
This is a big story for two reasons. One, the media has passed over it, giving it 30 second clips. Two, I think McCain and Obama want Paulsen, because they cannot find someone willing to take over the mess, that has been dropped on the doorstep of Treasury. I'd take over at Treasury but I'm busy right now, trying to run a write-in campaign, and instruct Americans on how to undo everything Paulsen, Ben & crew have done.
09/15 10:26pm
The part of the story that no economist is going to go on T.V. And discuss:
The New York federal reserve bank tried to sell Lehman Bros over the weekend. Pawn them off on any takers around the world, because Sec. Paulsen showed me a little something by saying “No, the government is not buying them.”
That does not make sec. Paulsen a hero, it just means he did his job for one brief moment.
So the New York FED couldn't even sell Lehman Bros to the Chinese or Middle Eastern interests.
So China, who could've owned Lehman for pennies on the dollar, and then held them up as a great “trophy” of how China is better the the United States, put their check book away.
The Middle Eastern interests, which have all of our gas-pump dollars, could've bought even more control of our wall street, and been given deep interests into how investment houses work in the U.S. They put their debit card in a wallet, and so thanks but no thanks.
Why?
Lehman Bros. Portfolio must be laden with sub-prime mortgage vehicles that are nothing but downside and debt.
If the Federal Reserve is trying to sell something that the Treasury department won't bank-roll, then why should anyone bank-roll it?
I'm willing to bet that some folks high up at Lehman are on the take. Treasury can only back one of their own so far. There will have to be some criminal convictions out of this.
The stock market was only down about 360 points today and even talk radio passed it off as not that bad. That it really shows how strong America's economic base is.
Wrong and here is why.
We just had one global brokerage house go under, and Bank of America bought Merrill Lynch. BofA stock was down 15% today, and Merrill was up 20$. Take about day-traders making a buck off a bad situation.
This going to continue and go on and on. Slowly over the next five years, the entire economic structure of the U.S. Marketplace will change.
Mark my words, in another 7 – 12 years, the federal government is going to start rolling out the concept of a regional currency between, us, Mexico and Canada. As I have ranted and raved about before, it is the only way the federal reserve can hide the inflation from the general public and keep their power over the banking system.
10:47pm
I just clicked on the “legislative proposal” page of the FRN Newsletter website. Our proposal submitted to Congress and the white back on November 7, 2005. Even if Congress had adopted our proposal a year later, we would be two year into a new gold/silver standard.
So let me break that down into real dollars and real cents. It means we would've saved the American taxpayers at least $700 billion dollars in interest payments back to FED. It means Bear-Sterns, Lehman and Merrill all would've actual hard money capital to restructure and save themselves.
I don't want to go any further on this point, it literally breaks my political heart.
Within the nest 14 months, the white house or Congress must take the lead on silver certificates. By 2010 we need $1 trillion in silver certificates into the market, as we phase out the same amount in federal reserve notes. This will buy us two years time, while the baby boomers spend their first trillion in IRA money.
Over the next four years we must get at least 50% of the M0 and M1 monetary components using silver and gold certificates. It is a matter of our financial survival and our freedom.
I'll buy dinner and drinks for any economist in America that will go on CNN and speak the truth as i just did.
09/17 10:38pm,
Sometimes the FED (especially these days) is not very suttle about doing what they do, to control the world's banking system.
They bought AIG for $85 billion at 9pm Tuesday eastern standard times. Just in time for the Asian markets to open at 9am Wednesday, and for China to keep financing our federal debt at $200 billion a year.
AIG has many financial interests in China.
A very obvious pattern has developed as the FED bails out this bank or that brokerage, but lets some resolve into nothing. I'd say the FED bails out who they want, to keep foreign dollars flowing to the Treasury department, at the same time they are restructuring the global banking landscape to their wishes.
I'm going to thoroughly enjoy sending this particular column to my eight contacts inside the FED.
Tomorrow at lunch I'll make another round of calls to my congressional delegation and tell them to please stop the Fed from this madness.
Looks like Morgan Stanley is about to shack up with a big bank.
For my money the federal reserve bank presidents and board governors are completely scared and dumb struck. They are reacting to a global debt meltdown that they have been instrumental in creating, and they simply cannot react fast enough to bottle up a world full of loose ends.
Thankfully for them, the regular citizens have very little power and the FED remains an independent yet un-constitutional authority.
I mean we all see where this is heading now, right?
Everyone realizes we must stop the FED right now, right?
I'd be real surprised to see Ben stay around for three terms as FED chief.
09/18 11:10pm
Chairman Ben, Secretary Paulsen and top government officials met in DC tonight.
Everyone sitting around and waiting for the other guy to come up with a brilliant way to solves our economic meltdown, and still look good to the voters.
My best guess:
The Federal Reserve and Treasury will put forth a plan to create a new government entity that will act as a lender/gate-keeper/hockey goalie to the mortgage industry and banking industry.
The new entity will be given at least $1 Trillion line of credit from Treasury and the FED, and have the president's ear anytime it needs it.
Essentially an S&L styled bailout times a factor of 15.
This would be again, the exact opposite course of action. A course that takes us further down the road of debt-based currency insanity.
The economists on T.V. Even have a catchy phrase for this. They call it privatising the profits and socializing the risk. The risk of course, being passed off to us working and middle class folk.
This is why I fight this fight and will never stop. The Federal Reserve System has broken my nation and my Constitution. I will not sit around and wait for “someone else” to fix it. I'll fix it myself, but I need a whole lot of help.

People, Places and Things, column 023
09/05 7:43pm
I won. As a voter that is.
Gov. Sarah Palin has made this happen for me. There actually will be some kind of defined change in D.C. Good change, bad change, excellent change or horrible change. One of these scenarios will play out.
Provided I don't receive 55 million write-in votes come November, we will either elect the first socialist president, or the first woman vice-president.
Now don't be getting all mad at me for calling Senator Obama a socialist, it simply happens to be categorically true. I have read the communist manifesto and I have researched/studied Vladimir Lenin's theory on equality and collectivism. Not to mention real-time observation of 30 or so socialist industrial nations in the world.
At the end of the day Senator Obama wants to further redistribute wealth from the owner and middle classes to the non-producing class. Not the poor or lower-class, the non-producing. Every time this has been done throughout human history, it has failed. Social elitists who want to engineer society at any level forget the most fundamental definition surrounding the human condition. We are not equal, and we strive as individuals, to to build or destroy our own lives. Having a basic social safety net is one thing, telling people which doctor they can see, or how much saving power they must surrender to the state is quite another.
But Chris! Don't you know that McCain is using Palin as a pretty skirt for pandering to women, conservatives and the religious right?
Yes, I do know that.
In fact How Palin was chosen is pretty scary, and speaks volumes as to how the next republican administration will be run.
A little history, things that are barely touched on by the Main-stream mush media, and some things that are just now coming out.
First: several days after Clinton was sworn in, Wall-Street insider Robert Rubin and FED chairman Alan Greenspan sat the new president down, and taught him the true meaning of Christmas. To this day, I think they scared Clinton straight because they knew he wanted to create a federal banking board, which would've been inside the Treasury, and therefore controlled by the president. That banking board would've stripped away about 80% of the federal reserves power. I can't make this up folks, its all true and a matter of record.
Did you ever notice for eight straight Clinton years their official policy was, the white house does not comment on federal reserve policy. Again, it is a matter of public record.
Second: When George W, Bush became president, I think it was obvious to the entire planet that this man would surround himself with the proper staff, to run the federal government and run the country.
Just a small break here, to remind CNN journalists of something, the federal government's job is not to run the country. I am specifically calling out CNN, of all the networks, because they are, by far, the largest abusers of this truism. I'm starting to believe that they actually believe inside their biased elitist hearts.
Back to George W. This has been a miserable eight years to suffer through. An entire executive branch, economic policy and foreign policy being ran by the Veep, Carl Rove, Andrew Card and their immediate circle. The price we pay for picking the weakest of republicans and giving them one of the most powerful positions in government. George W should serve as a constant reminder, to check out who a presidential candidate surrounds themselves with.
Both Obama and Bush should serve as constant reminders that ivy league “indoctrinated” graduates are not the best choice for high level public service. Bush because his family name got him there, Obama because he is a Liberal elitist.
Third: If senator Obama wins, he will gladly go after his socialist plan for expanding the federal government and further intruding into your privacy. It will be far more aggressive than anything Cheney/Rove have done.
Obama is at his heart, a liberal elitist, who must show all of us how to live.
The very next time I hear any democrat in his camp mention the 47 million un-insured I will call this Press secretary personally, and teach them the true meaning of Christmas.
I'll take a moment here on this number. There are a bare minimum of 9 million illegal immigrants on the payrolls, obviously they are not insured. Also 28 million of that 47 number have opted out of any health insurance plan. So this leaves 10 million un-insured Americans. The illegal immigrants don't count because they are illegal. Sorry, we are 60 days until election and i have no time to sugar coat this issue.
No one in this nation goes without medical care, no one. A hospital or medical clinic must treat a patient of they walk in, regardless if they can pay, regardless if they are a citizen.
Now, do I think we need health insurance laws changed? Of course. I also think the states, counties or local municipalities can handle the job far better than the federal government.
If I sound cranky on the “47 million” it's only because I am. Over two years now I've suffered the media and prez-wannabes-2008 talking about it, and not being honest about the real math.
Back to Obama. I firmly believe if he wins, that Chairman Ben of the Fed and a wall-street insider will sit him down, as they did Clinton, and also reveal to him, what his role will be, and that they are the ghosts of X-mas past, present and future.
Fourth: If McCain wins, he will be far more active in foreign policy, but there will be a very powerful group of men surrounding him, that will make 90% of the decisions and thank you very much Mr. President.
Gov. Palin met with McCain exactly one time.
That tells me Steve Schmidt and Carl rove chose her as veep, and told McCain this was his best bet.
But I win as a voter. The media is currently tearing themselves apart over Palin, and Obama just wants you to accept his elitist message.
Whoever wins, the nation's troubles become worse and our debt spirals out of control even faster.
This open up more eyes, to the possibility that it is time for a wholesale change of public officers, at all, levels of government.
Slowly, but surely, change will come to this nation.
So where do you and i go? What is our next step?
Yesterday i heard yet again the media talking about how a third party candidate cannot win the presidency and have a mandate for change. This continues to be the most absurd political theory of all human history.
The Republican party was a new party in 1854, you catch my drift?
I give you my personal guarantee that if any independent or third party candidate won 51% of the popular vote and won the electoral college, that you would see a tidal wave of real change in the federal government and the entire nation.
Which brings me back to my humble plea, can you give me one evening a month?
I am so serious on this.
If 60% to 70% of voting age adults were to to take one evening a month and be active in anything political; the shock waves it would send through the halls of power would be front-page/lead story news.
Pick an issue, pick a party, pick a fight, it makes no matter to me.
Wyandotte Michigan, my hometown has a population of 40,000 or so. Usually you get 20 people at a city council meeting. Twice that during a school year, when civics teachers have their students attend one or two meetings.
Imagine a small city like Wyandotte having 150 jammed into their meeting room?
I've been inside the room many times, and the city council would have to sit on each others laps.
Imagine one person brining forth one issue and that crowd of residents verbalizing their support.
That issue would be passed by the city council so quick, that the council president would have the minutes secretary rushing to find a laptop, to get it ready for the Mayor's signature.
That is the kind of change I envision the choice of Palin starting to inspire.
I know the average American is busy, raising kids, taking care of parents and just tired by 10pm.
Tough. So am I.
It is Saturday night, I've worked a 54 hour week, worked on the house and done everything else we all do.
Palin is a baby-step in the right direction. Sooner or later even the republican party insiders won't be able to keep her and others like her from blooming into a full fledged power broker, hell bent on change.
I leave you with this final political scenario to consider and act on.
I have made no secret of my hatred for Carl Rove and the crimes he has committed against the Constitution.
So why is this man allowed to thumb his nose at Representative John Conyer's committee? Why has he not testified about the U.S. Attorneys that were fired?
The man has ignored a congressional supena. Still nothing is done.
The reason Rove gets away with this is because we the people have not held our elected officials feet to the fire.
If 35% of voters were to call their senators and representative's office for two months straight, Rove would be in front of Conyer's, under oath and answering direct questions.
35% doesn't mean someone else makes the call, it means we all make the call.
Personally I'm trying to hold up my end, I am on my third round of calling my congressional delegation on the Rove supena.
Imagine speaker Pelosi's office and justice department receiving 1,500,000 calls in one month, to bring Rove in for questioning.
I am telling you a U.S. Marshal would be on the next plane with orders to bring Rove in, quietly if possible, in cuffs in necessary.
Citizen participation baby! Thats is what I am talking about.
Ooops, nearly forgot, the Congressional switchboard number is 202.224.3121.
And when you're talking to one of Speaker Pelosi's staffers, please mention I told you to call her about Rove.
It would surely boost my spirits during the grueling final 58 days.

“People, Places and Things” Column 022
08/23 10:36pm
I am going to start putting the date and time at the beginning of each segment I tap out of a column. Since I work on them through out the week and it seems the main-stream
media lags behind the majority of my thoughts.
Ooops, I did it again, I was naughty towards FOX news and CNN. You know seriously, at this point I just try to find new and interesting ways of picking on them, without making you bored. But I was mean towards the saps at MSNBC and you really should put me a timeout chair, far from a keyboard, where I can't let the truth slide from my fingers and into cyber-space.
Meanwhile:
Senator Obama, the candidate of change, picked Delaware Senator Joe Biden.
Senator McCain will go conventional as well, picking Republican veteran soldier Mitt Romney.
Conventional Wisdom:
First off, isn't “conventional wisdom” a contradiction in terms? People who base decisions on their wisdom usually do what is right, wise and proper. “Conventional” usually means you do what is easy, established and deeply connected to the norm. You know, how politicians cover their butts, usually with someone else's butt.
Senator Biden can be the pit-bull, lots of foreign policy experience, working class hero, unions like him and he plays good in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania. He plays well in Ohio and Michigan. Man oh Man, does Obama need those states. I mean that IS the election.
The Downside? Well, Biden is a establishment man, been in DC for 36 years. I seem to remember about 19 months ago, a young first term senator from Illinois who entered the Presidential race to “change” what is broken in Washington.
Maybe he picked Biden, because he can show Obama which light fixture is on the fritz.
Unconventional wisdom: (what you guys pay me for and what the corporate media never delivers)
Wait a minute . . . I don't get paid for this column. I wonder if i will someday? Do you think the NY Times or Washington Post will ever slap this column on the op-ed page and pay me $2K a week?
Yeah, keep tapping the keyboard and buy a lottery ticket. Believe me, I know.
Anyways , unconventional stuff:
Personally, I think Biden is one of the five or six smartest people in government, who is active and current on foreign affairs. Foreign affairs and economic policy are the two areas where it simply takes time to learn, understand and develop your own niche.
Foreign affairs is always complicated because 99% of the time you have people working a narrow angle that involves them getting something out of it. Further complicated by a main-stream mush media that couldn't possibly cover foreign policy properly, and still work in corporate ad buys. Further complicated by the brutal reality that there are several dozen governments and terrorist groups in the world that play for body-count and have no endgame beyond the next fear headline they can grab. Sometimes, some people just want to see the world burn.
Senator Obama was given the upside and downside of every Veep candidate, and at the end of the day he went conventional.
To really have changed the narrative of the campaign, be outside the beltway he should have picked Secretary Powell. That would've thrown a wrench in the Rove/Schmidt/McCain machine.
It's different for me, spending vacation week after vacation week, walking the halls of Congress and DC for 15 years, and seeing how it really does not work. It's different.
Four years from now, if we vote McCain or Obama in, we will have the same problems, plus another $1.2 trillion added to the federal government's debt.
And what has Joesph Biden done about that lately? The same as McCain, Hillary and Romney; nothing.
30 years ago Carter's national security advisor made an unholy pack with the CIA to funnel Arab extremists into Afghanistan. Their job was to de-stabilize the government and force a “window of opportunity” for the Soviets. A weakened Afghan government might be an easy target for the Soviets, in search of warm water ports and a larger footing into the middle east.
The Brzezinski/CIA plan worked all to well, except for the fact that the Soviets couldn't fight a guerrilla war in Afghanistan.
Osama Bin Laden was one of the extremists running safe houses in Afghanistan at the time. We can refer to that as part of “the butterfly effect.” It happens, and no one, not even Brzezinski could be smart enough to Analise that mess in the making.
21 years ago, Lt. Col. Oliver North got brushed aside by Senator Al Gore and others on the committee, when he testified to how dangerous the man and his group were. And seven years ago, almost to the day, we know what happened.
I'm not hinting even the slightest that Bin Laden's hatred was fueled or “created” by the CIA. No, quite the opposite, Bin Laden went to Afghanistan because he was already twisted, evil and wanting to exact revenge against a government that was seen as pro-western.
I do this small time-line narrative because it shows just how utterly complex the world is, and how useless politicians are, when they are more interest in getting a laugh from the committee hearing room audience, then listening to a national security council staff member give testimony on a subject of importance.
Like i said, politicians working an angle for some narrow gain. The Then senator Gore saw a chance to grab a little national media limelight, by making fun and belittling Col. North.
A real statesman would have sat up straight in their chair and put together a plan of action and worked closely with the White House and NSA to eliminate Bin Laden in '87.
I doubt Senator Biden would've behaved any better, if he were drilling Col. North at that particular moment in time.
I guess at the end of the day, I only know the decision I would've made.
Romney, Biden, Hillary hijacking the democratic convention, Obama trying to look good reading from a tele-prompter.
It all makes me sad and disparately ill.
08/24 12:08am
I'm still running the future collateral damage possibilities for the that cyberspace hack group in Russia. The group that carried out the cyber-attack on the Georgia government.
We have global terrorist groups who are well manned and well funded. We have communist nations rising to super-power status on two fronts.
We also have Pakistan which I believe could blow up at any moment.
But right now my brain is focused in on the potential of that cyber group in Russia.
My guess is the NSA and CIA know who they are, or at least we have assets in place that have connections and liaisons to MI-6 or Mossad that know who they are.
As if foreign policy were not complex enough. We now live in a world where a Cyber-hack group for hire actually carried out a well planned attack and took command/control ability away from a small government.
It chills me.
I am also betting that there are analysts inside Fort Meade, Maryland (NSA HQ), that have followed this group and hopefully put an analysis for future threat potential together. Hopefully a report like that has been properly bumped up the ladder.
Hopefully the current national security council staff member, in charge of Russian affairs has read such a report. Hopefully DOD, State, DHS and interpol were copied into such a report.
You see a group like that already has the hardware, manpower and will to carry out such attacks. My guess is their client list is not limited to Russian public officials. My guess is a group like that would work for anyone, if the dollar amount and challenge were right.
Do you think Senators' McCain, Obama, Clinton and Biden would fully understand the testimony of a mid-level NSA congressional liaison who would testify on this group?
I think they would, but would lack the political courage to do anything about it. Because there is no upside gain for a hard decision like that, only a downside.
Senator Obama did call for Moscow to halt these cyber attacks after they started. I''m sure Putin was really intimidated by Harvard trained super-lawyer Obama.
Yeah foreign policy and Chris's continued search for leadership.

Two final notes:
I was thinking about a barely covered section of the Democratic primary debates, when Hillary called Obama out on his state legislature voting record.
Obama had over 130 recorded votes of “present.” Not “Yeah” or “Nay” just present.
Now this matters.
A “Present” vote means you're voting no, but with an explanation. Voting present means you're not committing to anything. If you want to vote a bill down, then just vote no and be done with it.
This is important because ultimately the President is the final person to make decisions, on behalf of the entire executive branch. It matters if you say yes or no, and mean it either way.
The President is the highest Officer in the United States.
It matters.
Final note number two:
I caught a brief portion of Speaker Pelosi tonight, at the convention. She said America stands at a cross-roads, and we must decide what direction we want America to head in.
uninspiring, bland and predictable.
Obama picking a DC insider as a veep. Boring, bland and predictable.
I'm betting on at least three Clinton cabinet re-threads if Obama wins. One of Clinton's deputy AG's is already being whispered as a possible AG for Obama.
Anyone want to give me a political point spread?
Post Script: Two unitl my next column.

People, Places and Things” Column 021
Politics at home and politics abroad. The world is complex and that is saying something. Lets talk Russia, Detroit Mayor Kilpatrick and Senator Clinton.
*** Note ***
I am a real fan of Toby Keith, but I also like his no nonsense political views. Keith is like the HUGE majority of Americans, who do not see things as “Left or Right”, us “regular folk” see things as “Right and Wrong.” Politicians don't get it.
Russia and their war with Georgia:
As I have said during the entire history of this column and the majority of my adult life. Where Georgia is, in this region where Europe, the Middle east and Asia all come together; is the most complex region on the planet.
My father being of the depression/WWII era has taught me many things about how the world works and how history takes it's sweet time to fold, unfold and re-align.
I don't believe for one second that Senator Obama or President Bush, as individuals, have one ounce of understanding, as to the very long and complicated the history between Georgia and Russia is.
Senator McCain does to his credit, understand this region far better than the other two. Which is why he came out so quickly and advised a strong hand against further Russian incursions into sovereign Georgian real-estate. Maybe he is worried about a cold-war starting anew, maybe he isn't. At the very least he came out and took a strong stand. Being president is about leading, even when it is widely unpopular.
About two hours after the news broke about Georgia sending troops in to provinces that have their own governments, is when I got a weird political feeling. As if there were something that was not quite right.
The Georgian President, Karl Rove and the current director of the CFR were all at the Yalta conference one month before this happened. Like I said wink and nod.
Secretary Rice is a life-long Russian expert. For my money she had good intel from State and the NSA that the Russians would “defend” the two provinces if Georgia were “winked n nodded” into going in.
You see it changes the entire dynamic of the Presidential race, and allows McCain to speak on a subject that he is well versed on.
Amazing to me that nearly 2000 civilians died from Russian warplane bomb runs, as the Olympics were starting. The main-stream media just hit the snooze button on this one.
I have to tell you, that i really do not mind doing the “heavy lifting” of reporting on these serious world events, while CNN and the New York Times worry about just how many more political ad buys they can get out of Obama and McCain.
I get this feeling every time something starts to happen around the world, that i think our government has given a wink n nod to and the media casually ignores.
The timing, Russia's huge over response to pro-Russian Georgians seeking alliance and the fact that President Bush gave an un-remarkable statement and stayed at the Olympics a little longer. Very strange.
A thousand years of disputed borders and two provinces seeking Russian help.
By the way, The Georgian government suffered a severe cyber-attack at exactly the same time Russian military assets were entering the region. It wasn't the Russian military or the government, it was private Russian groups that carried out the cyber-attacks and effectively shut down Georgian Command/Control. So it is also a really good question, whom in Russia, has the leashes on those particular pit-bulls?
I warned you before about a “KGB rising.”
I stand by that and will take it further.
What we are seeing is the first step towards Russia building a new empire and the first shot in global “energy war.”
An energy war that will last decades, involve dozens of countries, be fought on battle fields, cyberspace, wall street and the halls of Congress.
This has been a very bad period within the American political power structure. Where two Presidential advisors (Rove and Rice) and a Veep have been running a shadow government at the same time they are controlling the real government.
Time will prove me right, that Karl Rove should be in jail for about 75 different crimes and counting. This is a dangerous man who is running our government. A political thug for hire.
Hopefully the court system, will prove me right.
Yeah, you see that CNN, ABC, MSNBC, etc. You cannot put a Russian/Georgian conflict into a 30 second clip and call it good.
One more little side bar here. Vladimir Putin himself, is now a very wealthy man. He has ex-KGB cronies in all the right areas and has very tight relations with the Russian military. Putin could fund his own short wars, long enough for the west to react, and I think you know where I'm going.
08.19.08 8:28pm: 11 days into this mess and the main-stream media now covers it from a NATO point of view. How this ceasefire is a good thing, still no substance.
Mayor Kilpatrick of Detroit. Here i am again, writing words about a city mayor. I live ½ mile from the Detroit. So If I lived ½ mile and one foot north of my keyboard; I would be a resident of Detroit. And let me tell you, I would have dozens of my neighbors signatures by now, for a citizen petition to throw this bully out of office.
Hey Mayor! Its me Christopher James Dardzinski, and I am still here. Keep your fingers crossed, Kilpatrick's former chief of staff is getting scared, she may flip.
Senator Hillary. I mean what can you say, she just spanked Obama, stole the news cycle for four solid days and the entire Clinton family will be speaking at the Democratic convention. Obama is not being “accommodating.” He was out-flanked.
Hillary is a world-class politician, understanding how to play multiple levels of insider chess at one time. Obama would do well to learn from her skilled under-handedness.
I would give every last dollar of Greenspan's paychecks to have Bill Clinton's phone records for the last two months. Who he made promises to and so on.
Yep! Putin is the man to watch, as the world becomes even more complex and dangerous.
Senator Obama could not even keep Hillary at bay.
He's a back-bencher and does not understand the world. Harvard lawyers, go figure.

“People, Places and things” Column 022
The current Space Shuttle fleet will be retired in 2010. U.S. Corporations are several years behind schedule in providing NASA with the next generation of space shuttles/trucks.
As a “stop gap measure” NASA may have to purchase a vehicle made by the Japanese,
Okay first reaction is emotional, just what is taking U.S. Corporations so long!!! We have almost all of the world's cutting edge technology. WE are America. We are the ones who come up with all the really cool space stuff.
I just need to geek out for a column here before the Democratic convention begins.
I have searched the Internet high and low and sideways and upside down and all around and back at me. I think some of the new designs are “okay” but nothing really grabs me.
Probably due to the fact that the next generation of spacecraft will lack Photon torpedoes, phasers and won't carry a crew of nearly 400. Like the Enterprise NCC-1701 did on Star Trek.
I am depressed as a sci-fi geek.
No flying cars, no really good jet-packs yet and we might have to buy a space vehicle off the Japanese to tie us over.
Where are those noses? I thought so. I see those noses and they are not against grind-stones.
Come on all you high-tech and industrial giants/titans of American know-how; GIVE ME A SHUTTLE!
. . . . and I want it parked in my driveway by the time I get home or there will be no computer gaming after 8pm.
“Orion” is the new spacecraft NASA is working on, scheduled for 2014 launch. One year later than expected.
It is a huge space capsule, no where near as cool looking as the shuttle.
Probably no lasers or photon torpedoes either. It will carry a crew of four or six and will be used in the next manned mission to the moon, come 2020.
Lets talk a real “back-bone” space program for a second here. Right now we have enough high-caliber robotic technology to start building a lunar base. We should be firing one rocket of “Moon-base building blocks” to the moon every month. Robots could put it together and we could have an entire HUGE moon-base by the time our astronauts get there in 2020. The Pentagon and HHS can do with less money so that NASA can have more.
Plus, private corporations need to get into the space program full-time. Build their own moon bases and Manned Mar's missions
NASA is talking with the Japanese right now, unofficially, to purchase their H-2 transfer vehicle, which is an unmanned cargo transfer system. Probably doesn't have any Lasers or Photon torpedoes either.
I just Googled a picture of it and there is nothing special about it. I also checked to see if there were any areas where you could attach lasers n stuff, and nothing. So don't bother wasting a search on the Internet yourself, just take daddy Chris's word for it. Its lame looking.
Thats about it, pretty short column considering all the technology we have. NASA is going to wait until after 2020 to start building a moon-base they could be working on, and I ain't got no new space craft stamped “Made in U.S/A/” until 2014.
The very first reader that can build me a cool new space ship by 2013, will get a free copies of my books.
But! You must have photon torpedoes and phasers on it. Dark blue paint job if you please.
See you all at the Convention. . .

“Give me one evening a month, Please” part 2
I told you Hillary was going to use the “Nuclear option.”
. . . . and her timing is simply brilliant. Senator Clinton is proving once again she is one of the smartest politicians in America today. She is also power hungry and a bad loser, but I don't want to talk about that just yet.
I guarantee you the maddest person in America right now is David Axelrod, Political chief advisor for the Obama campaign.
David Axelrod is making history, he is on the verge of possibly putting the first black man in the oval office.
That one point doesn't matter to me at all. I don't think of Obama as Black or Hillary as a woman; as i have mentioned a dozen times before. To me they are merely establishment lawyers, who have now moved onto the political side of their “insider careers.”
So what does Hillary want? What do the Clinton's want? And why can't all of you just love them a little more than you used to?
The Clinton's need love. I'm very serious here. I always knew that Bill Clinton was a person in need of affection and love. He has to please people, so that they will adore him. It probably stems from childhood. He does not get love from his wife, and that is sad.
Hillary needs love to. She needs the warm affection felt, when one sits behind the President's desk and people address you as “Madam President” for at least eight years. Hillary is a far stronger person than Bill is, internally. She doesn't need a man or husband. She needs you to “love” her political ambitions enough, to make her madam president.
Back to her brilliant timing. 18 days before the convention. It's a perfect insider political move. For the following reasons:
Senator Obama must react and rather quickly. This will break his momentum on the campaign trail, and it throws Axelrod off the established game-plan. Hillary wanting her name put up for delegate roll call is a big news story, and will take up three or four more news cycles; which lends time for people to doubt Obama's abilities and qualifications as it were.
Senator McCain can choose to take the high road and release a basic statement, and stay out of it. Which will help him with moderates and his conservative base, because he will be seen as being Presidential and keeping himself focused on the important issues of the day.
Senator McCain can take the low road and get a few quick news cycles for free, by taking pot shots at the Democratic party as a whole. This helps him with poor white voters, his conservative base and all the moderates who were formerly Reagan Democrats.
Hillary supporters might gain their own level of momentum and force the DNC to put her name up for roll call, at the convention, and force a vote from the floor. Then Hillary can sit back and literally say “I'm here to serve the people and be their leader, if they want me.” Personally this is what i want to happen, because it will make the Democratic convention interesting to me for one day. It will probably be a Monday morning vote, when as few people as possible can watch the proceedings. If her name does get a vote from the floor, how much the major media covers it will tell us plenty, by Monday night, just how slanted they are towards Obama. Not very important, but it is a little side-bar I mention. Any news on Hillary, outside her official speech coverage takes away from the Obama nomination. Again, If I were Axelrod, I would be furious.
Tim Kaine of Virginia is probably the better choice for Obama's Veep, over Senator Evan Bayh from Indiana. This is hardcore politics here. Obama either wins or loses Indiana by himself. I don't see any combination of Veep candidates for either contender changing Indiana. If Obama wins the state, he does so on the backs of first time young voters turning out in higher numbers than poor white males over 35. Trust me on the math. It's crunch time and I can't pull any punches. If McCain takes Indiana, he does so for moderates turning his way, veterans and poor white males over 35 who are mad as hell and not voting for any Chicago styled politician. Thats why Tim Kaine helps Obama, because it forces McCain to spend money in Virginia and North Carolina, where they would rather not spend more money, if at all possible. The bottom line, Hillary forcing a roll call vote at the convention weakens Obama severely in Indiana. Indiana is part of the industrial Midwest and Hillary has a stronger movement here. This section of America that is fence sitting because Obama is himself, may actually switch parties, vote for Nader, vote Green party, etc. All of that takes away from the overall pool that usually votes Democratic. If I were Obama I would pick Tim Kaine for Veep and force the Elephant party to dump money into Virginia and N.C. This will force the AFL-CIO to spend part of their allocated $200 million in the industrial belt, when they would rather spend it in the south and mountain states, where the money is needed more. Yes, the AFL-CIO is spending $200 million on this general election, most of it to benefit Liberals and socialist candidates. I wonder how the rank and file would feel about their union dues being spend to poorly, instead of on serious union business.
Hillary has not made friends in the Senate, and i for one don't think she ever tried. HUGE blunder. Almost everything political can be yours in D.C., if you have made nice, played nice and shared your crayons in the Senate. I'm not being funny. U.S. Senators garnish respect around the world. Senators get far more political air-time from the media. You make a huge name very quickly in the Senate, but you must have allies, and that means making friends. The Clinton's don't want to make friends, they are a political party of two, and we are all supposed to bow down and accept it. Sorry, no sale here. A U.S. Senator has the ultimate power. One Senator can tie up the entire political process of legislation with a filibuster. Not even the president has that power.
Hillary is the prom queen wannabe. She got beat our at the last second by another contender who had a better smile and talked nice to people. Now Hillary wants an ice-cream cone, before you take her to the movies, buy her popcorn, pop and don't forget her milk duds or she will be very upset.
Hillary doesn't care about her party, the nation or the Constitution. She has paid her political dues within the establishment, by not divorcing Bill and now she wants what she wants.
Bill and Hillary probably made a ton of promises to people if she won, and now she still needs $18 million and change, to pay off debts. As of some how this Obama's problem or the DNC's.
Ultimately Hillary is playing to see McCain win. If the village will not praise her, then she will burn the village down and wait to rebuild it, in her own elitist image come 2012.
Because it does take a village of political worshipers, to satisfy her need for Oval office love.
All the more reason for “one evening a month” from the citizenry.
Politicians like Hillary, Obama and McCain are at every level within the two party political establishment. They represent just enough change to satisfy our visceral needs and the other 99% goes to the people who got them where they are now. Compromise and influence are the true political currency of our day.
How do we take these two parties back and make them for and by the people of these United States?
Simple, we do it one party meeting at a time. Pick a meeting and pick a party. Round up all your voting age family, friends and bring the kids along so they can see “Citizen participation” in action. This is the only way we fix the problem. If you know someone who is hard working, loves politics and loves the Constitution, then you need to go to their house yank them away from C-span for a night and drag them to the party meeting. You tell them you and your gang are going to put their name forth to be a nominee for some office. You draft this Constitutional savvy person into service.
Seriously, we all know someone who is a true patriot and would serve the Constitution to the highest degree/
I hammer away on this point because decisions are made by those who show up. If We The People do not show up then decisions will be made by politicians, their handlers, cronies and lawyers.
We can do better . . .

“People, Places and things” Column 018
“Can I have one evening a month? Please.” Part 01
I have been a long time believer that if every voting age American spent the equivalent of one evening a month, being active in politics, the nation would be restored to a Constitutionally limited Democratic Republic. Say one month you, along with family and friends go to a city council meeting and raise local issues that concern you. The next month go to a county level political party meeting, Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, Green, Socialist or Natural Law party. Pick a party, pick an issues, go to that meeting and take it over with your new ideas, new blood and new vision. The next month maybe you spend the four hours drafting a letter or e-mail to your Congressional delegation and the president. The next month maybe you check in on what has or has not been accomplished during the first three months and give thanks where a thank you is due, and hold feet to the fire where some politician is still not getting the picture that you, the citizen, is in charge. Citizen participation at “one evening a month “ levels could literally allow We The People to take our nation back. Back out of the hands of Lobbyists, PACs, Political party bosses, banks and Corporate influence. I think everyone can spare one evening a month. I choose to believe this, because i choose to believe that positive energy allows for positive ideas to flow. I choose to believe that individual citizens do not have to fight in the streets for scraps of freedom. I believe we can save this nation, one evening at a time, and sit at the table of Constitutional liberation. Many Americans are sold the manufactured idea that political activism is something we do every four years, just by voting in the general election. The media and the power brokers in America would have us all be inactive and happy to see us sit home.
Those days are ending, as information is cheap and free to every would be “political activist.”
I Choose to believe . . .
We have entered August now and with less than 90 days remaining until election day I ask; when is the actual debate going to begin? When will we, as a citizenry demand serious thoughtful muse?
National Security? Whats that? An ice-cream flavor of the month?
I've been concerned about another hit since September 12, 2001. To the point that I truly know our entire political establishment is not taking national security seriously. Not just Senators' McCain and Obama, but the entire system.
Bush n crew didn't care seven months before 9/11. A CIA agent was dispatched to Crawford, TX., to give the President a briefing on the fact that they had credible intelligence that Al-Qaida was going to hit us. President Bush thanked him for coming down and sent him on his way.
I ask you to consider the real-world scenario below, and ask yourself; Is there a real candidate capable of answering the call, and leading America through a dark hour. I have changed all the names, to protect the innocent and possible guilty parties.
What follows is blunt, brutal and very possible:
October 19th, 2010 8:23am e.s.t.
The Ambassador bridge, connecting Windsor Ontario to Detroit, Michigan is one of the busiest bridge crossings in the world. 3 million trucks and 6 million cars annually.
The bridge complex employs private security on both sides. Including Windsor police and vehicles, a full-time intelligence liaison to the U.S. Government, ex-FBI, ex-CIA, ex-Secret Service, etc. on the U.S. Side.
Even with all of that, there is still an unguarded gate on the south-western side of the complex, that automatically opens up for any vehicle. You simply drive right around.
8:27am, an A.T. & T. truck rolls through the gate and loops around to the handicap parking spots adjacent the Custom's brokers and CBP/OGA buildings. Three men get out, all wearing AT&T uniforms, with clip boards, work bags, and 15 pounds of C-5 strapped to vests underneath their coats. The driver stays in the truck, they have two-way walkie-talkies. This sleeper cell of Al-Qaida was brought in man by man, through Mexico, using converted “mules” who are Muslim radical fanatics. One man heads inside the custom's building, one to the back dock area, and one into the broker's building. A second A.T. & T truck parks underneath the Ambassador bridge on Fort street, a driver and two gunmen. Sleeper cell number two.
8:24am, they communicate a “go” signal. All three men blow themselves up, the truck outside has 300 pounds of C-5, which the media in minutes, will report “looked like a small nuclear bomb going off.” Truck two underneath the bridge on Fort street has 500 pounds of C-5.
8:26am, the custom's facility and surrounding neighborhood look like a scene out of war movie. Hundreds are dead and a 250 section of the Ambassador bridge is now rubble.
8:28am, 50 F150's loaded with bowling balls , pull out onto five major highways, surrounding 10 major cities. One driver, one passenger in each truck. The passenger crawls out of the cab and onto the truck bed, drops the tailgate and lets all the bowling balls out. 10 major cities have just been clogged up and their major freeways. There are thousands of cars smashed, people are dead everywhere.
8:27am Fort Meade (NSA HQ), Maryland. An NRO satellite has just picked up a ground explosion on the Detroit border.
An NSA analyst gets up from his chair, walks over to his immediate supervisor and punches him square in the jaw. As other analysts restrain him and his boss rubs his jaw, he starts yelling “I told you we needed to bump this up the ladder!”
Five months earlier, Jim (the analyst) had put together a theory that Bridges and ports of crossing could be targeted by at least three known sleeper cells on the watch list of the FBI and State dept. Jim's supervisor, Scott is a “political hack”, got his position because he went to Harvard and his dad went to Harvard, and his dad knew someone at the pentagon. He is not a true NSA agent, just a political suit getting in the way of real national security grunt work.
9:02am e.s.t.
A army convoy has left base camp. Four trucks, three hummers, 50 soldiers and supplies. Al-Qaida hits the lead vehicle and 250 insurgents swarm the convoy. U.S. Troops manage to kill half, but 20 soldiers are killed and the 30 remaining are taken to a secure location, before helicopter gunships can find them.
9:02 am e.s.t.
Ten U.P.S. Trucks pull up in front of ten hospital emergency rooms. Each truck has one driver, four gunmen in back and 500 pounds of C-5 per truck.
8:50am e.s.t.
An unassuming man walks into a Star-buck's coffee shop, pulls out a laptop and sends the “Go” orders to the ten sleepers cells in the U.P.S. Trucks. He then orders a coffee and e-mails a simple statement to the NSA, CNN and New York Times, “Mr. President, in a matter of minutes at least 50 of your murderous soldiers will be taken hostage in Iraq, and ten UPS trucks will pull up to ten hospitals across your godless infidel nation. You have three choices: 1. Give the order to have the 50 soldiers sacrificed in Iraq and I will blow up only five hospitals. 2. decide to stop even one of my UPS trucks and I will kill five soldiers every hour. 3. Have your Vice President, Speaker of your House of Representatives and U.S. Senate Majority leader get into a Washington DC police car and drive to Breezwood Pennsylvania. If your three leaders arrive at destination by 12:30pm eastern standard time, with no one following them, and no police or federal agents, then i will release all your soldiers and my UPS trucks will drive away.
It is your choice Mr. President, Allah is great! ! !”
Why am I suggesting such a horrible scenario? Several reasons:
I want to draw attention to just how easy it is to hit this country. America has taken very few steps for securing borders, and there is next to zero “political will” to go after Al-Qaida.
Consider this. It has been almost seven years since 9/11. America has the finest intelligence agencies in the world. We have the very best military and the very best military hardware. We should have been able to scour the entire globe within three months and kill every Al-Qiada member on the planet. But for that you need “political will” and a declaration of war from Congress.
I am willing to bet Al-Qaida could acquire enough C-5 over the years from international arms dealers, from Pakistan, China and Iran.
I also lay out this horrible scenario because I've had far to much time now, to absorb this “Obama experience.”
I find this senator lacking in conviction, lacking in judgment and lacking any formal understanding of our Constitution.
Essentially I find I am lacking any use for him what so ever.
Senator Obama is the worst kind of Socialist, because he is an elitist posing as someone who wants to sell me snake oil.
I also think Senator McCain has passed his prime. Maybe 20 years ago he would've been an acceptable commander-in-chief, if nothing else, but now his judgment is fading. This I believe is no fault of his own. As a retired army Captain he should realize that his best days have gone, do the right thing by his country, and resign his position as a public officer in the U.S. Senate. I would not think less of him for doing so. Senator McCain should be remembered as the heroic POW who told his captors he would not be released until all the guys before him were. That is real courage my fellow countrymen. I wish that John McCain were running for president, because i would support him all the way.
I do not believe there is one citizen, meeting all Presidential requirements under the Constitution, who could have the proper “judgment” to handle that particular national security crisis and attack.
I think almost everyone who reaches the presidency within the two party structure, has compromised so many times along the way, that they would barely know “good judgment” if it came up and introduced itself. Not to mention, dozens of advisors, lobbyists and cronies trying to get you to do something that is not on the up and up.
If this scenario played out, I would hope that those three federal “public servants” would jump into the nearest DC police car and drive like blazes to Breezwood, without even taking a breath to ponder the “political up-side or down-side” of the situation.
I would like to picture a federal government filled with elected officials who would be burning oil and laying down rubber at 150 Miles Per Hour, or whatever the top speed of a DC police car is.
But that is not anywhere near reality, and thankfully so, for the sake of our near worthless current federal public officials. We do have four or five excellent officials out of 540.
Some who read this will think that I've gone to far by suggesting such a horrible scenario. I submit to you, that before 9/11, very few of us thought we could be hit so hard, so fast and suffer so many brutal murders of innocent countrymen.
There are 55 other candidates for the office of the president. Since we now have less than 90 days until we pull levers and punch cards; can i please get some media and general public attention on the “other 55?”
August 4th, 2008 12:50pm e.s.t.
I called the NSA public affairs office and asked them to listen to a theory I've developed and to please bump it up to the proper people in the NSA.
I am very concerned about this tainted irrigation water on these farms in Mexico. Al-Qaida has worked very hard in the last few years to bring their members into Mexico, and convert Mexicans to their fanatic beliefs.
I told the NSA that this is way to big for the FDA, that they should activate the assets and resources on the ground in Mexico, and check out these farms to see who works there. It is good idea, to have some assets check and see who could be a recently converted fanatic Al-Qaida sleeper agent.
Over 19 years in international trade does make me an expert on how easy it is to hit our food supply.
The NSA public affair's official I spoke to asked me if I had called Homeland security with my theory.
I told him I planned on it, and will surely do so.

Random Thoughts on the world of Hollywood, actors, Producers and other things of the big screen and boob tube:
Billy D. Williams, who played Landau Kalresien in the Star Wars saga, is doing A T & T commercials. That is a saga in and of itself.
The actor who played “Johnny” from “Johnny Soko and the flying Robot died, ten years ago. Wikipedia didn't even give a cause of death. I Loved that show
“The Dark Knight” Latest batman installment, could've been titled “Batman vs Joker” Heath Ledger gives one of those soulful performances that reaches that “special level.” The level of acting where they are the character. Ledger died two months after the final scene shot, but his performance should be one of the five nominees for best actor in a supporting role. $155.34 Million its opening weekend. Sci-Di and Comic geeks around the world unite.
I agree with my best friend Rob. Leonardo needs to stop the agent movies. Now him and Crowe are starring in what appears to be a CIA version of “Departed.” I certainly hope it is not a formula ripoff.
I think Hollywood should produce a 2 hour drama, based on the political life of a working class guy from Lincoln Park. We could call it “The FED is scared of Chris Dardzinski.” Hey, don't laugh, I've seen movie's advertised this year alone, with far worse titles.
I mean it. If you don't stop laughing at my Late November, Oscar worthy movie idea, I'm turning this column around and we're going home. And stop touching your sister.
Anyways . . . Nicole and Keith had a baby. I wonder if they will “nickname” the baby “Tom.” Oh, sorry, was that hitting below the belt? But it really is okay, because Tom Cruise is very wealthy and I am not. Doesn't justify me picking on his in-ability to sire children with Nicole, it just means I'm still bitter about not being wealthy. And I may cling to my guns, my religion or a stuffed animal for anyone's concern.
Wow, I really got off track there. This is why i need a movie deal, because trying to stop the FED has cut seriously into my movie-going time and treasure.
Roger Ebert is leaving the show he helped create. Bummer, major bummer.
I wish Glenn Close would do a movie soon, I really like her.
Morgan Freeman is my all time favorite actor, for anyone still reading this, and anyone who is still laughing from my outburst.
I am really torn as to whom is my favorite actress. I'll tell you this much, it will never be Julia Roberts. Her older brother Eric is three times the talent she is, and 1/1000th the maintainable.
I really wish George Lucas would consider producing episode's 7, 8 and 9 of Star wars, that he swears do not exist. I know they do. Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamel are all the proper age.
Kevin Costner is back on the big screen in “Swing Vote.” A comedy about two presidential candidates tied in the vote, and Costner plays the one guy who can break the tie. I Like Kevin Costner and I live and breath for political movies of any kind. For these two reasons, I will not see this ridiculous excuse for a movie. Come on, someone actually used federal reserve notes to produce this? Sorry. I see this movie only if someone pays my way, picks me up and drives me there and back, and I want popcorn, Pepsi and Chips with two cheese sauces. I also want an extra $6 thrown in, so I can go see a good movie after words. I expect so much more from Costner and co-star Kelsey Gramer.
“Holy Calculator Tape Batman!” One of my good buddies, Damien, theorized that because of the screen time given the accountant in “Dark Knight”, this character may come back in Batman 3 as the Riddler. It is a good theory, if the Warner Bros/D.C. Comic's producers decide to take the story-arc towards that caliber of villain. My best friend Rob and our friend Brian also agree. The accountant has motive, after being fired, and carnal knowledge of how to hurt Bruce Wayne and Lusts Fox. Damien's theory is well based considering his over-all movie knowledge, comic book knowledge and general high aptitude for all things Sci-Fi. Damien has a good bet.. Yes, all of you reading this section, this is actual stuff me and my crew discuss, in grave detail. I know you are all very jealous and wish you could be part of our next skull session.
Many more random thoughts on movies, but that will have to wait until the next reel.

The storm front touches shore. . . .
75 years from now historians and economists, will be having a panel discussion on America and someone will ask them “If the federal government had just taken the thoughtful counsel of Political analyst and economic theorist, Christopher Dardzinski, publisher of FRN Newsletter and several FED books; then America would not have died an awful economic death, now would she?”
Hopefully C-span will carry that panel discussion. I most likely will not see it, chances are I'll be dead before my 115th year on planet Earth.
Hopefully the world will have moved away from “panel discussions” and no one will have to suffer people talking about solving a problem. People should talk and then solve. Talking without a follow up of solving, is like draining dirty oil from an engine and replacing it with more dirty oil.
I have spent seven days now absorbing the main-stream media mush spin on Freddie-Mac and Fannie-Mae. Chairman Ben and Secretary Paulson getting the normal “grilling” on capital hill. Which is always amusing, since there is not one member of the Congressional committees who could possibly ask all the right questions, and expect these two guys to give real answers. Like i said, talking without solving.
All of you should've been driving down I-94 as I was going to work and listening to NPR Tuesday morning. NPR reports that tweedle dee and tweedle dumb will be marching off to testify before Congress. I yell at the radio “they want more control”
As NPR reports that dumb and dumber will need the laws changed. Translation? “More power over the banking and mortgage system.”
I yell at the radio a lot these days.
Lets break it down like no one else can:
This bailout will be nothing like the S&L scandal. Even if it costs taxpayers the same amount of money, say $250 Billion. I think it will be far more, and i think the federal reserve and the federal government will take at least partial control over both mortgage companies. Effectively placing the federal reserve in control of 45% of American household mortgages.
Which i am sure will serve as collateral for the next big shock or wind of change. Say leading America into a regional currency.
Oooops! There i go again, with my conspiracy mind racing ahead 10 to 15 years.
Yep, Ben and Paulson suggesting the exact opposite course of action qw need to take.
Right here, Right now, we need to restore a gold/silver standard.
Not one political analyst or economist has stepped forward to say that this bailout is different, because we have $9.4 Trillion in federal government debt on hand, as opposed to S&L days gone by, when we had about $1.2 Trillion. Not to mention a communist central bank is financing half our annual deficit.
I'd like every single economist in America to stop and e-mail me right now, and state on the record, that this will not be as bad as the S&L thing.
This nation will enter 2009 with hyper-inflation coming down the pipe. I'm going to take a keen interest in watching the FED chairman dance his way out of that one.
None of this has to happen, none of this needs to happen.
Previously I said we needed $750 Billion of silver certificates issued by May 2009. Even if the FED prints a conservative $250 Billion in debt-based currency to cover Freddie and Fannie's rear-ends, we are still looking at more more bank bailouts after the fact. The “perfect storm” really is just touching our shores, and will soon loom over the entire land.
Seriously, National City has a huge amount of money invested in sub-prime mortgages and the very complicated financial vehicles they are attached to. Imagine five or six medium sized banks like National City needing bailout?
Normally I don't get on my knees to beg and plead, but I will now, gladly; if people and public officials will hear my call.
The Treasury department, through executive order from the President or direction from Congress, must issue $1 Trillion in silver certificates by March 2009. At the same time we phase out the same amount in federal reserve notes.
This, theoretically, should buy us enough time to 2010, so we can phase in another $2 Trillion in gold and silver certificates. Which should give the new Congress enough time to put a new gold/silver standard together. Along with a basket commodities standard. I would also suggest the federal government go back to financing itself through Imposts, Excise and Tariffs.
Hey Congress? If you check out the FRN Newsletter website, you will see my “Legislative Proposal” detailing exactly how we can go about this.
I don't think i could be more serious.
Yeah, all those main-stream journalists reporting on how the government and the FED need to fix this mess, and give away more control to the FED in the process.
You should not be allowed to report on such matters, unless you have completed a basic economics course or read one book on the FED.
What is most frustrating to me is the same old same old.
Chairman Ben and Treasury water-boy Paulson know we should return to a gold/silver standard. The media bosses know this, the political science professors know this. Hell, even liberal economic's professors know this.
All these really smart and powerful people know this.
Will they act?
I guess that depends on you and me.

“People, Places and things” Column 015
A tale of two political establishment gurus:
One is a long-time personal political hero and the other is a long-time criminal, in my opinion.
Warren Christopher, former Secretary of State, Democratic party elder and liberal establishment “fix it man.”
For over 30 years I have respected the personal dignity and professional skills of Sec. Christopher. He is a man of deep political conviction and serious minded Constitutional theorist.
Until about four days ago.
This is not easy to write, but even when one of my favored political heroes spits on the Constitution, I must call them out. With Sec. Christopher it is far different. This is a public servant that I was introduced to as a young kid of ten, when he was a State dept. official in the Carter administration. Sec. Christopher has served the nation and Democratic party for over 30 years.
Christopher and former Sec. of State James A. Baker have decided the war power's act needs to be re-worked.
NO!!! The war power's act is un-constitutional and we need to throw it on the scrap heap of failed policy.
Article one, Section eight, Clause Ten gives sole authority to the Congress for the declaration of war.
Christoper knows this, James Bakers knows this, they both know that they know this.
President Bush knows this.
Yet we remain in Iraq as a occupying force. President Bush did not submit a request to Congress for a declaration of war against the government of Iraq. President Bush had no authority to send one soldier over there until Congress authorizes it.
Its the law.
I am disappointed in Warren Christopher. This is a turning point in American political theory, as an elder statesmen decides to trample the work of our founding fathers.
Sec. Christopher and Sec. Baker are able to get away with it, because most American only hear about the war power's act in times of deep military crisis. Article One, section Eight, Clause Ten of the Constitution is taught in high school civics or government classes.
Sec. Christopher knows this, I know he knows this, and the media doesn't care they I know he knows, but they know to gloss it over. The media is regurgitating the “study group” on the subject as Christoper's and baker's lauded recommendation for fixing the problem.
The Constitution has been ill served and Sec. Warren Christopher is no longer a political hero to me.
Karl Rove:
Former deputy white house chief of state, long time Bush family advisor, and Political establishment “fix it man/paratrooper” for the Republican party.
Adding to Rove's long resume is now being in“contempt of Congress.”
There is no way to possibly convey through words the seriousness of this. This now brings the total to three, of former Bush advisors who have thumbed their noes at Congress, the Constitution, the rule of law and us regular folk out here in “fly over country.” Fly over country is the majority of America that does not matter to the “beltway/wall street” establishment.
Karl Rove is right now, in my opinion, the smartest political advisor on the planet; bar none. He is smarter than David Axelrod, Smarter than James Carville, smarter than almost every President who has ever sworn on the bible. He is the heir apparent to James A. Baker, in my humble political opinion.
He also belongs in federal prison. I said it and I'm sticking to that.
If you or I were found in contempt of Congress one of two scenarios would unfold very quickly, in a matter of hours.
The speaker of the house would order the Capital Hill police to bring us into custody, and put us in a holding cell, until we either testified under oath, or had some form of legal proceeding ensue, to straighten out our contempt charges.
Or! The speaker of the house would consult with the executive branch and have a U.S. Marshal bring us into custody.
Personally, whether it be President Bush or possible Presidents' Obama or McCain; I think Karl Rove is going to get thee single best Presidential pardon of the last 75 years.
All the FISA wire taps that went down starting in 2002, I'll bet you a Trillion dollars, Rove made sure they had something on all the current leadership in the House and Senate.
I have followed this man for 30 years now, I know his thinking. Karl Rove has five back up plans for anything that can go wrong for him or the public officials he serves.
One more thing before I take a deep breath.
Karl Rove was not a cabinet officer and the deputy chief of staff position is not confirmed by the Senate.
Under very strict reading of the Constitution, Karl Rove is not fully protected by a Presidential Pardon, only for federal crimes. He can be prosecuted under State, county and local laws, that are not in conflict with federal precedent.
If Karl Rove goes to jail, I'm throwing a party.
Hey main-stream mush media, I'm asking you a small favor; pass this column along to Karl Rove.

“People, Places and Things” Change, the final part
July 7th 10:12pm,
I did it again . . .
The column was 95% perfect and i hit “delete.”
It was an Independence Day column. Because not enough columnists and wannabees have written about that over the last 10 day stretch.
I was thinking about the entire period surrounding the events of 232 years ago. Which always depresses me, because of what is happening in current day America. My beautiful nation, suffering from a 94 year hangover of fiat money and a government trying to help us.
For some reason, when I think my heavy thoughts about our nation's birth, I come back to the “bookends.”
That is how I am going to start referring to John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. Though there are another 8 or 10 founding fathers that I consider pivotal, it is the intellectual determination of these two, that always pushes me.
Pushes me to keep going in my quest, to see this nation rid of fiat money and the federal reserve banking cartel.
Pushes me to reason my intentions, critically review my premise, and refine my theories, perceptions and “plans-of-action.”
John Adams, with his fierce determination and force of will, to unite delegates of the Continental Congress; steering them towards action verses in-action.
John Adams saw the “whole picture” of what needed to happen with the 13 British colonies at that very specific moment in time. Not in three years, not in seven years, but right then.
Thomas Jefferson also saw the whole picture. The whole picture of humanity, as a social animal, a political thug and an infant citizen of a new world, just waiting to be inspired.
Jefferson saw the very deep curves of man's soul, and knew an individual's right to be free was a “natural law.”
I've read many different takes on the relationship between these two founders. The majority of which are inaccurate more often than not.
John Adams was not the worst President ( but in the bottom five) this nation has seen. Jefferson benefited from ground work previously laid, and the natural order of ebb and flow. I often wonder how history would've treated both men, if they had served each other's term in office.
But that is just me taking a “thought break” during the holiday weekend.
A few perceptions on what is at hand:
As the corporate media has reported, Steve Schmidt has taking over daily operations for the McCain campaign. A former deputy to Carl Rove, puppeteer to George W. Bush. He is a “fixer” and political “paratrooper” like Rove, Vernon Jordan, David Axelrod, James Carville and all the “great” political strategists of the day.
There are many brilliant political minds surrounding all the major heavy weights, and people backing them up.
All of them with a particular skill or knack for doing dirty work, spinning a news story, pitching a phrase, burying a body and saving someone's political rear-end.
To put it kindly, I hate them all.
I hate them because they are smarter than the majority of the elected officials they serve. They know this, the public officials know they know, the media knows that they know they know.
Yet it festers and boils with each passing election, as the candidates become more mundane.
Ambassador Alan Keyes and Representative Ron Paul would never need “handlers.”
Why? Well, both men are brilliant, believe in the Constitution and want to see this nation kept free, and citizens not abused by the government.
At this very moment in political history, I find myself strangely drawn in the direction of just two talk radio hosts, Mark Levin and Thom Hartmann.
David newman retired a few years back, and these two men have filled my talk radio “void.”
Both shows and hosts peek my political and social interest. Both men have a very deep understanding of the Constitution and both are well read on general history.
They remind me of the relationship between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.
I guess, in the mind of Chris, I consider them political “bookends” of current day America.
I mention these two gentlemen because I learn quite a bit from their shows. Maybe not so much directly from the respective hosts, but in the material they present and the very serious minded intellectual audiences they attract.
I consider it quite an honor to be part of both audiences listening in, and creating true thoughtful discussion.
I would prefer to see these two commentators/journalists/authors square off in a political contest, then the two major candidates I have been left to watch and cover for my own newsletter.
Sorry, there i go again, so many loose ends and how to tie them up.
We live in an America where the two major parties, have candidates for the Oval office, who “need” multiple handlers and political advisors.
I am very specific in my usage of the word “need.”
John Adams and Thomas Jefferson didn't need handlers.
I refuse to be comfortable with the political field of 2008 Presidential politics.
There are still 57 candidates on the extended spectrum.
Thom Hartmann considers Senator McCain a dangerous man to be leading America.
Mark Levin considers Senator Obama to be a minor league political bench-warmer.
Well I agree. I've been saying and writing the same thing for a very long time now.
Independence day has come and gone, and both campaigns used it to their advantage, like a cheap Chinese made tool.
How many more days will pass, before Americans demand a far better slate of leading candidates?

“People, Places and Things” Change part 3
I just hit “delete” on a column that was 99% ready for publishing and national distribution.
Sometimes I do that, have a column almost perfect and just hit delete and start with a blank word doc.
I mention this because of the “Change part 3” subject matter. How does a Presidential candidate, outside the “two party system.”, win elected office?
This remains the only issue of our time. All major party candidates spend an entire primary and general election process selling and repackaging the perception of change. The main-stream media eagerly signs off on these bundled perceptions of empty promises, platitudes and pre-ordained sound-bites.
Possibly the most irritating part for me, is this constant drum beat that an independent or “third party” candidate cannot win a federal public office.
When this nation was sewn together by the blood, intellect and fierce determination of the continental congress and army, our first free elections were held.
There was no campaigning as we know it today, there was no political parties; and the only special interest was how to take a brand new Constitution and use it to ensure individual liberties.
There were no “professional politicians.” There were very few statesmen who held previous elected office.
Yet somehow all these “first timers” with no “federal governing experience” managed to create a limited republic with consistent free elections.
Makes you wonder what kind of spin CNN or The New York Times would've put on it.
I submit the premise that our election process has degenerated and mutated into a political cabal, governed by the usual suspects of Monetary influence, narrow-minded/power hungry politicians and corporate controlled media.
There really has been no Presidential/Congressional race of substance after the Whig party went by the wayside.
Can a third party or independent win the Oval? For me and I do declare, a growing number of citizens; the question is rhetorical.
The real question should be, Why have we allowed 100 years of political process to come and go, and not force an actual determined political/social discussion.
This almost happened in 1968 with Robert F. Kennedy. RFK who saw an entire world bereft of leadership and chose to do something. Bobby real was “the one.” The real thing. A Statesman, head and shoulders above the crowd.
And now the comment from deep inside media-driven fears and political ad-buys focused on perception over substance: “If you don't support one of the two major parties, you're wasting your vote” or some derivative thereof.
When the corporate media starts selling America this perception, I cringe with disgust and barely containable anger.
The perception that America will splinter us-under into hollowed factions of mobs and political gangs, if we collectively do not bow our heads, thank the corporate media for their divine wisdom, and pull the lever for the Democratic or Republican party.
All praise be to main-stream mush media, for once again making sure we are safe in the two hands that maintain political control of our “freely elected” government.
But Chris! You must vote for the lesser of two evils!
Well, no, I really must not.
The corporate media sells an additional perception that there are tens of millions of Democratic and Republican members of each party. Again, this is a 95% lie. Flat out lie. There may be wide spread support or party declaration for each of the two parties, but actual paid membership is far less. A quick Google search shows us “72 million registered Democrats.” Fine, great, congratulations.
Actual dues paying membership and regular donors. Not even 10% of that.
The numbers remain the same on the Elephant side of the spectrum.
For five consecutive generations now, both parties have kept all power within the hands of a very select cabal.
I use the word “cabal” as it is defined by Webster's ninth edition and not as a metaphor.
I remember clear as day, when David Brinkley flat out asked Pat Buchanan, who was running as a third party candidate, “But if we don't vote Democratic or Republican, who will run the country.?”
I sat there watching “This Week” in near panicked horror. To even hear such an experienced journalist ask such a mindless and absurd question.
Of course David Brinkley knew exactly what he was doing when he asked the question. He was making sure, that even the politically thoughtful audience of Sunday morning shows, was properly “reminded” that we must be ruled by a two party cabal.
There is no dialog or political debate within or between the two parties. They create just shy of zero thoughtful national discussion.
I can see and hear the corporate media's response to everything I just wrote. “But Chris, the two major parties reflect the will of the people and third parties only have a fringe following.”
First: There is no collective will of the people. I remind the media that we are free thinking citizens, fully capable of making our own decisions.
Second: and ten times more important, Any citizen, who meets the three Constitutional requirements for the Presidency can win, and govern with a mandate to support and protect that same Constitution.
Major political parties do not protect and preserve our Constitution. It is protected by 537 elected public officers of the federal government.
We have become a socialized democracy, governed and babied by media, politicians, bankers and peddlers of corporate money. Not to mention an elitist academic crowd properly brain-washing the next generation to keep everything just the way it is. Power in the hands of a chosen few.
Senators and Representatives serving in office for 30 plus years, 40 plus years and even 50 plus years. I am officially asking the all knowing and all seeing corporate media to explain to me, a regular folk, how that reality serves a Constitutionally limited republic.
This time around it is the Democratic party that is selling America the candidate of “change.”
I bring this up, because Senators' Obama and Clinton held their first public rally in a town called Unity, New Hampshire. Population 1530.
So the presumptive Democratic party nominee and his biggest rival, picked this town, so they could all hold hands and sing ”We shall overcome.” Please, stop, I beg of you.
My point, there were actual campaign staffers who scouted out this particular town, for a very well choreographed rally of support.
Again my level of disgust is only topped by the level of political insult I feel.
For the main-stream corporate media, which may have a hard time figuring out what i mean, its what us regular folk call “I've had a gut full.”
At last count, 30 seconds ago, there were 57 candidates for Office of the President.
At last count, over the past 24 hour news cycle, exactly two candidates have received major press and media coverage.
Which one of the 57 is most capable of properly administrating that office, as a civilian under oath?
That answer resides inside you and your ballot.

“People, Places and things” Change part 2
We are now in month 3,826 of the 2008 Presidential race.
Not really, but it seems like it.
I have spent the last eight months really thinking about the economic conditions facing the incoming administration.
I spend time thinking about it, because as a write in candidate for President, I think I should. I wonder how much actual thinking Senators' McCain, Obama and Clinton have done on the economy.
Lets break it down:
Because the first set of baby-boomers will be taking $1 trillion out of their 401K's, 403B's and other retirement vehicles; I still think the dollar can hold out until 2015. I still think we can repeal the federal reserve act and install a new gold standard without disrupting normal market conditions. In fact a I fully expect all free market conditions to improve as such a plan takes action and comes into fruition.
Most economic theorists do not even model such a scenario. I think they have given up on the dollar, and have resigned themselves to a floating currency system based on debt. I think they don't mind if the Euro over takes the Dollar in world markets, which it has already started to do.
That is a shame.
Obama, Hillary and McCain all speak of change. Really? Like what? Nip and tucking a small bit of the tax code this way or that? Please. Thats not change.
Change is ripping the illegal federal income tax out of the ground and replacing it with nothing.
This nation can survive just fine on straight tariffs, excise and impost taxes. Free market economies have done it for thousands of years.
Free market nations survived and prospered for thousands of years without needing a central banking cartel to print worthless money, that causes more inflation.
Actual inflation, caused by the federal reserve, will approach 11% for 2008. How do you feel about that? I don't know about you, but it makes me hopping mad and I intend to stand up and do something.
I would love to hear Obama or McCain utter one sentence about it. They could do that, because i certainly don't expect them to come up with an actual policy for real economic change.
Realistically, I think we can manage an orderly return to “lawful U.S. Money” as established under Article One, Section Eight, Clause Four of the U.S. Constitution.
Neither Obama or McCain have the political will to do it. Bob Barr from the Libertarian party does. Congressman Ron Paul does.
Normally I take the high road when discussing the federal reserve and try to incorporate a “Positive Energy” component to seeing America returned to a Constitutionally required gold/silver standard.
Now I must add a sense of urgency to seeing this happen. We must pressure the White House, Congress and the Treasury department to start issuing silver certificates by May 2009. $750 billion at least, at the same time we phase out the same amount of debt-based illegal federal reserve notes.
I am not an alarmist, just an economic theorist and political analyst willing to put my reputation on the line for what I know will happen, if we do not immediately change course. We stay on debt-based currency, and the government will be forcing us to use a regional “North American” currency. Mark my words.
This is usually where the problem starts, as individuals we think that the task at hand, for restoring our true freedom is to large. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Take 15 minutes and send e-mails or make phone calls to your Congressional delegation, white house and treasury department.
Seriously, 50 people doing this will be noticed. Take another five minutes and forward this column to everyone in your address book, asking them to do the same.
Citizen participation is not about a handful of people devoting every spare moment of their lives to a worthy cause. Citizen participation is about tens of millions of us taking 30 minutes a month.
You are my countrymen, and I am willing to take this fight all the way, because I see what will happen if we do not embrace actual change right here, right now.
We do not have time to wait for just the right President to come along and push through a new gold standard. We do not have time for just the right Congress to eliminate an illegal federal income tax, and go back to an “apportioned taxation” system, as specified in the Constitution.
There is you and me, We The People. I said it before and I'll say again and again, WE are the ones we've been waiting for.
This is our time. We make this happen, and demand the elected leaders follow the Constitution.
Give me 30 minutes of your time every month, to pressure the government on these two issues and we will literally take back America for sure.
You are my countrymen, and i stand by your side.
A “Post Script” here: The reason I always come back to a restored gold standard and eliminating the illegal federal income tax, is they remain the root cause of what keeps all working and middle class people in economic chains. You must have a starting point, take care of the essential problems, and that frees up the economy and our resources to handle all the other problems facing America. A citizenry united and with renewed freedom can solves everything.
The White House and Congress better take notice, because we do not have to take this “status quo” anymore.

“People, Places and Things” Column 014
Just when you thought it was safe to venture into normal columns,
NO!
Yes, you cannot stop them nor control them. I can't control the random thoughts have returned. Its to late for your mother to save you . . .
They are called “Plutoids”, Classified by scientists as larger than Dwarfs but smaller than planets. Pluto was classified as a planet, then it was down graded to a Dwarf, then scientists created the “Plutoid” category. Pluto and Airis are the only two heavenly bodies that qualify. I'm just not cool with that. Pluto is one of my favorites, and should be considered a full planet just because i say so. Lets march on NASA HQ until they give into our demands. Power to the sci-fi geeks! ! ! Who's with me?
I was checking the paperwork for a shipment of Pizza boxes that came in from Canada.190,000 pizza boxes. Why do I even mention this? Well, there was no pizzas in the boxes and i think the truck should've gone back and got those pizzas for me. I'm really hungry and pizza is my favorite food.
Just think, its over now. You will never be subjected to that random thought again. Doesn't life seem a little rosier already?
I was also thinking about how many random thoughts you may be having in your life. Please share, random thoughts are better as community property.
When I make it big in the world of political consulting and publishing, I am still going to write stupid little random thought columns like this. Success will not change me. I promise you all. Does that make you feel comfortable, knowing my random thoughts will always be around to keep you safe and warm at night?
The Supreme Court really needs to find five new members who can read the Constitution, and define the term “illegal alien.”Habeas Corpus is actually very simple, even regular folk like me understand.
Has anyone been following the Phoenix Lander mission on Mars? It is such a great time to be a sci-fi geek, considering Iron Man is in the movies and a lander on Mars.
I was thinking about this 1/8 scale model Camero I built back in '84. Thats it, I was just thinking about it.
MacDonald's has a new sandwich for breakfast. Gotta try that.
Has anyone Googled the google space race to the moon? I wonder how all the private organizations are doing.
An author on C-span yesterday was plugging his book about being “white Collar” and spending a year working minimum wage jobs, and what “the experience” was like. He said the book has a humorous tone to it. Humorous if you're not stuck in dead end jobs. Books like that I think are a waste of ink. Or Am I being cynical again?
One more thought to bring this full circle. NASA is planning new manned missions to the moon for 2018. Hey, I don't know quite how to put this, but I can't wait that long for new moon missions. Can't we bump this baby up? Only going to cost $104 Billion. Thats chump change compared to the DOD budget. If I were in charge of NASA we would have a manned moon base and be using it as a jump off point to send humans to Mars by 2015, at the very latest.
Okay, ya'll are relieved of random thought duty until next time my brain spills over.
Chou baby . . .

“People, Places and Things” Change part 1
“You Cannot Stop the Idea Who's Time is Now.”
What do you think of FRN Newsletter's first “official” tag line? We may take a CNN/TIME poll and get a national pulse on it. Actually we don't want CNN or TIME anywhere near our new tag line.
I was watching C-span yesterday so I could listen to all of Hillary's concession speech. It was okay, I surely didn't expect her to get up on stage, bring out Obama and the DNC inner circle, join hands and sing “Micheal row the boat ashore.”
Though I do believe that would have made a good Sunday New York Times headline, above the fold for sure.
It seems what bothers me most about our current political power sharing cartel between the Democratic party and republican party. It is always just okay.
Obama instructs the DNC to no longer take PAC or Lobbyist money. Thats nice and okay, but big deal. Obama is a rock start celebrity Presidential nominee with a 1.5 million person donor database.
I've clicked around Obama's website as any good computer geek and political analyst should. From the geek stand point I like the layout and the blue tones which are pastel and inviting. This matters to me because i hate when red, white and blue are over used. Bothers me. Patriotism is not about color, its about dedication to an idea of freedom.
The political content is like every other Presidential website I've ever seen. No difference. I few summation paragraphs on each hot topic issue. Nothing in depth or revolutionary.
I took a walk this morning to mail a bill and deposit some checks at the bank. Walking back home I was blinded by the revolutionary images of former President Carter's far-sighted policies for energy independence.
The one thing that drives technological advancement in any energy source is when people start using more of it.
I see so many building roof tops that could be laden with solar panels. The technology was okay in 1978, far better 30 years later; yet imagine where solar energy technology would be today, if we were using it for say 1/3 of all residential and 1/4 of all commercial business.
When you go to Wal-marts or Meijers shopping this week, look at the huge area of the building's roof and imagine how many solar panels you could get up there.
You can buy 45 watt solar panel kits at your local Harbor Freight Tools store.
I am taking the time here because having five years of engineering under my belt, I think about your garage roof. Parking a car in there plugging it in to a power supply that has been charging from solar panels all day, and charging that hybrid car all night. Very easy and basic technology.
It saddens me seeing where America stands to day with $4/gallon gasoline.
In 30 years under President Carter's simple yet brilliant energy policy, we could easily be totally independent of middle eastern oil.
Combine that with two other very basic energy technologies, wind turbine and Geo thermo and you get the picture.
The economy lost 46,000 jobs last month. Think about the jobs we would create in this country if we became the world leaders in Solar, Wind-Turbine and Geo-Thermo hardware production?
Call me economically stupid, but I think its better to convert an old factory into renewable energy hardware production, than to ship jobs to the Chinese industrial coastal cities. Or India and Pakistan for that matter.
The politicians have a name for it, they're calling them “Green jobs.” I nice corporate media driven mush phrase. Yet do I see one politician taking the lead and putting solar panels on their own house? Could one member of Congress dust off President Carter's old energy policy and re-introduce it. I hear President Bush talking renewable energy all the time, so lets get that baby introduced, passed and signed on the dotted energy saving line. Any takers?
Think about the Trillions of dollars the government would have NOT spent, sending U.S troops to guard Iraqi and Saudi Arabian oil fields.
The entire social and political structure would fundamentally be in America's (and the entire world's) favor.
Imagine having localized power grids again? Imagine how much safer that would be for our national infrastructure?
I drive a '97 F150 extend cab 4X4, full length bed.
There is not a week that goes by that I don't think about the vulnerability of the Alaskan pipeline. All 800 miles of it.
Three five member sleeper cells in Five F150 4X4's carrying 1700 Lbs of fertilizer bombs and 500 Lbs of ½ inch ball bearings One driver and two gunmen per truck. Only one truck has to hit the pipeline.
I mention that horrifying scenario to prove how incredibly vulnerable our entire national energy infrastructure is.
I really would like to think that Presidential candidates think in detail on such issues, not just their staff. I think it is important for a leader to fully conceptualize such scenarios, so they can have a full understanding when their intelligence agencies brief them on how to fight against such situations.
I sure hope NORAD, CIA and the NSA run drills for such low tech terrorist attacks.
As if terrorists even need a chemical or nuclear device to wreak havoc on America.
I am still a write in candidate for President and seeing America embrace those three renewable energy sources is just one idea I have. Simple, basic and smart.
What I would give to see even this level of detail on any issue, big or small, on any candidate's website.
Most important i guess is that the private sector doesn't need to wait for the federal government to get a clue. We can be starting this right now.
Independence from middle eastern oil is not some highly complex theory known only to great thinkers and serious techno-geeks.
Our sun is going to be around for a very long time.

“People, Places and Things”
“McCain Wins the Oval” Final note . . . .
Everything that follows is triple sourced information from a journalist who managed to get a talk radio host to listen.
I am waiting for this story to break national.
That of course, relies on the main-stream mush media to do their job. In other words don't expect this to come out before the November election.
If McCain wins the Presidency, it will be due to brokered deals, wink wink, between party insiders and the keepers of the keys. The establishment looking out for their own.
Senator McCain was quite bitter after he lost the 2000 primary to Bush. As well he should've been. Senator McCain was much bigger in the party standing and one of the senior elders. A man that plays the full game of establishment politics.
His Senate behavior during Bush's first term is proof positive that McCain doesn't take defeat well. He spent a lot of times blocking Bush's proposals and policies.
Bush gets re-elected and McCain rather quickly becomes an advocate for the Bush White House and their policies.
Everything in Washington is about deal making and watered down compromise that reflect a wet-soggy peanut butter sandwich.
Senator McCain is not good at raising campaign money. This is where the Bush family and their very extensive political network comes into play.
The name Karl Rove pops up again and again. As Rove went to McCain and his people, cutting a deal. McCain's help in the Senate for Bush family support and a network of finance.
It is a good insider bargain and so very common within the political establishment, regardless of which two major parties is cutting the deal.
Senator McCain is now slated to be his party's nominee and believe me, the Bush family and their entire network will be there to help him win the general election.
The truth is President Bush, Vice President Cheney and Karl Rove need Senator McCain to win.
They need him to win because McCain is the most likely of the three major candidates to issue pardons as soon as his hand is off the bible. All three have broken the law, possibly other inside the Bush administration, possibly not.
Senator Obama has already said he would role back some of Bush's policies and investigate Bush administration dealings. I've heard this line before, so I would have to see it to believe it.
This is one of the most important passing of the torches. The Media never follows it to closely. The media could use a pardon themselves, after this election.
Ford pardoned Nixon, Bush Sr. pardon Reagan's crew, Clinton did not investigate Bush dealings.
All this talk I hear from both parties about a “50 state” strategy.
Sorry not buying it.
As I write this I know Carl Rove is thinking about How he can help McCain win an absolute 290 electoral votes, without any contested states.
Thats what i would do, if I needed a soon to be President, with a pardon pen in hand.
Next set of thoughts and columns will deal with real “change.”
You cannot stop the idea who's time is now . . .chew on that and I'll be quilling you later.

“People, Places and Things”
“McCain Wins the Oval” part 5 (a political race wasting gas at full idle)
I want to go in a different direction now. Because the “3am phone call” is just making me mad all over again I get that way in election years. Just crazy crazy crazy.
Senator Clinton runs that commercial and Senator Obama actually responded to it.
Lets dive into the real world of a “3am Presidential phone call.”
Hey main-stream media? Pay attention, I'm only writing this once! Hey candidates? Yes, you three; some of us regular folk are not stupid. In fact most of us are offended by the stupidity of the “3am phone call”
The real world scenario:
Everyday 17 U.S. intelligence agencies monitor the entire world. The National Security Agency handles about 80% of the workload.
2:37pm Monday in a small abandoned industrial town, 22 KM inland China.
The NRO is reporting all satellites working within normal parameters. An NSA real-time NSP “Stealth Phantom” Satellite has picked up a unique radiation heat signature. Keyhole satellite images are transmitted to Fort Meade and Langley is notified to be on stand by; in case assets need to be activated within the sector that is now an “area of interest.”
China has been rumored for years to be working on a “back-fire” bomber, capable of B-52 range missions and further.
The NRO has checked the NSA satellites now focused on the area, and reports all systems within normal parameters.
Analysts at Fort Meade are trying to pick up on extra chatter in the region. Is it military in nature? Has a back-fire bomber been stolen by Tibetan separatists? Are the Satellites wrong? Exactly how many computer hackers are there in America awake right now?
27 minutes later triple sourced intel from the NSA, CIA and DIA has confirmed a nuclear weapon being loaded onto the back-fire bomber. Langley is notified to deploy all assets within the sector of interest. The DCI and Deputy DCI are called and woken up. NSA has dispatched briefs to Langley, the Pentagon, and the NSC duty officer at the White House. An MI-6 liaison is notified.
It is 3:22am EST.
The NSC duty officer, CIA, NSA and DOD liaisons are in the situation room.
NRO reports all satellites working normal, NSA reports the plane is air-born.
Carrier groups in the Pacific are put on high alert. AWACS and F22's are scrambled and putting a “dome” over the entire area that is now being considered a “hot zone” until some kind of diplomatic communication can be established and confirmed. NORAD is scrambling F15's and F22's out of Virginia, California and Texas. The Canadian Military dispatches some units to the sensitive areas of the Alaskan pipeline. Four weeks ago, MI-6 and Mossad picked up some chatter that Sleeper cells in Alberta may try and hit the pipeline. The NSA, Langley and the NSC duty officer think Canada may be over reacting, but it is their country.
State department back channels are now the best hope for a quiet dialog, keeping everyone calm and not escalating the situation.
State department officials are working with Japanese, Russian, British, French, Pakistani, Canadian and U.N. counterparts and everyone wants to know what the hell is going on.
The NSA has calculated four possible “short range” targets, one of them Taipei, Taiwan. The other three could be “drop zones” in the Pacific.
MI-6 had picked up chatter about a secret under water nuclear testing several months ago, but then the intel went cold. CIA assets were never able to confirm or deny the origin of the rumor. Pakistan was no help, and Ghost recon units on the Afghan border are hearing nothing. A third wave of keyhole images confirms the first two, and the NRO is still reporting all satellites working within normal parameters.
Two power grids just went down in Lower Manhattan. Could be related or just the bad winter storm hitting NYC. NSC duty officer ignores it, she has enough on her plate already. F22's will be over NYC in 19 minutes, she will wait for their report. She has Homeland security on the line and the
